heyo, first of all, most of your arguments come from you being some 40 year old, which automatically means you listen to amazing music and been around every scene for more than enough time to compare them and even lecture other people
Second, as far as I'm concerned, Metallica IS garbage (to a better extent), and the only reason they have their good material is well, because of Dave Mustaine. Moreover, you're crediting Venom for a wrong genre.
In my opinion Kill em all is a crap album, Dave Mustaines good work lies in Peace Sells, So Far So Good and Rust in Peace. The only good album of Metallica is Master of Puppets, it might not be that good instrumentally, but the atmosphere and songwriting is very catchy and cool to listen to. Its boring that Metallica always builds up their songs the easy way (guitar>guitar+base>guitar1+2+base>all+drums) instead of using awesome scales and flow of riffs to build up like Megadeth.
Anyway, my first impressions of this band Sadus (listened a couple of songs) is that they are barely build up any of their songs and just go straight into thrash, I dont really dig it, but first impressions are always wrong in music. Can you recommend a way to listen to this? Or some parts of songs that make me understand why Sadus is a good band? I love steve digiorgio, especially on Dark Hall and Death but dont seem to understand his presence in this band well :X.
Third, if 20+ years of music brought you to only Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Rammstein and other garbage, then you're automatically forbidden to post on my videos, or in fact, any good music video.
No, I'm not saying those bands are terrible, but the points you're making absolutely don't go well together with the music you have favorited (my apologizies if that is not the music you're listening to at all)
I listen to many of those bands, as well as others... But only certain "eras" you could say, as an example, Killswitch, now I will agree with you that the stuff they release now is horrible, but go back to the Jesse Leech years and you can see why I do love that era of Killswitch... Instead of fighting between ourselves as to which kind of metal is better and which bands "suck", we should be trying to bring metal back to the forefront like it was in the late 80's early to mid 90's... I've been on the scene a long time, only a select few metal bands (of any sub-genre) get any airtime at all... If you like a more "underground" scene, great, but don't be surprised when some of those bands get signed with a major label and takes the money and runs (so to speak)

@rob825 Nah, although that's true, there's more reason to hate Metallica. For example, I personally hate Metallica because of being too formulaic, and ripping off WAY too many bands.
Metallica didn't "rip off" bands, they practically brought thrash metal out here in the US/Canada, (Venom was the first true thrash band), and they have influenced many of today's bands of all genres/subgenres... Without Metallica, many of these great bands we see today wouldn't have been here. You can hate on em all you want, but their early stuff was excellent (as is some of their later stuff)... Stop being a sheep while following the crowd and actually think for yourself for once.

I listened to RTL and And Justice For All and thought "this is great", then as soon as I heard Black Album, I was BEGGING for it to stop. Their newer albums are more progressive and experimental, and MUCH more technical than the older, power chord based music... The fact is, they evolved musically (like the vast majority of bands do), while most of you are still stuck in the dark ages... Now its time for you to evolve, stop pigeonholing yourself to a single sub-genre and expand your musical tastes, you might be surprised what you find.
The black album actually had good songwriting on it, even though it had some 'mainstream appealing' hits like Enter Sandman and NEM. Just because it's not straightforward fast metal riffing like this doesn't mean it's shit. It's rather that your taste in music is too limited to be able to enjoy it, because that album wasn't lacking. The stuff after was though...
And they didn't rip off other bands... They did have influences but that's something entirely different.
@OpethToolMetallica No, Metallica actually admitted to ripping off one or two bands, but there is much more evidence. I don't like Black Album because it's a bad album, not because it's not fast. I liked Countdown to Extinction. I liked South of Heaven. But Black Album is just bad. Slow does not mean bad in my eyes, but Metallica just got worse with that album. Far worse. At least to me.

serioulsy whats with all you wannabe hc shitknot fags who act like metallica is hip hop? their thrash is better than nothing and besides they DID influence a lot of great thrash bands that are still here! every time when i think of metallica, i see the insane thrashers who made master of puppets and kill 'em all. the new metallica sucks dick. but why cant you enjoy their old albums? their awesome like these underground thrash bands!

@rob825 Nah, although that's true, there's more reason to hate Metallica. For example, I personally hate Metallica because of being too formulaic, and ripping off WAY too many bands.

Metallica didn't "rip off" bands, they practically brought thrash metal out here in the US/Canada, (Venom was the first true thrash band), and they have influenced many of today's bands of all genres/subgenres... Without Metallica, many of these great bands we see today wouldn't have been here. You can hate on em all you want, but their early stuff was excellent (as is some of their later stuff)... Stop being a sheep while following the crowd and actually think for yourself for once.

@m1ndtr1p I hated Metallica before I even knew that people hated Metallica. I listened to RTL and And Justice For All and thought "this is great", then as soon as I heard Black Album, I was BEGGING for it to stop. It was so awful, and I was around 10 years old, and I KNEW it sucked. However, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING? Metallica, REGARDLESS OF THEIR STATUS, has ripped off TONS of bands. It's not because I don't like them, IT IS FACT. METALLICA EVEN SAYS SO.

Considering I've been a musician myself for 20+ odd years, writing music for about 13-14 years, producing, mixing, directing and recording music for about 7 years (of all genres)... I'm fairly certain I know a lot more about music than you ever will in your lifetime. Most of you were still sucking your mommy's titty when this stuff was around.. I never said I was a badass. @Bassbait Band rip off bands all the time, it's called being influenced by other bands/music.
Their newer albums are more progressive and experimental, and MUCH more technical than the older, power chord based music... The fact is, they evolved musically (like the vast majority of bands do), while most of you are still stuck in the dark ages... Now its time for you to evolve, stop pigeonholing yourself to a single sub-genre and expand your musical tastes, you might be surprised what you find.

The black album actually had good songwriting on it, even though it had some 'mainstream appealing' hits like Enter Sandman and NEM. Just because it's not straightforward fast metal riffing like this doesn't mean it's shit. It's rather that your taste in music is too limited to be able to enjoy it, because that album wasn't lacking. The stuff after was though...
And they didn't rip off other bands... They did have influences but that's something entirely different.

@OpethToolMetallica No, Metallica actually admitted to ripping off one or two bands, but there is much more evidence. I don't like Black Album because it's a bad album, not because it's not fast. I liked Countdown to Extinction. I liked South of Heaven. But Black Album is just bad. Slow does not mean bad in my eyes, but Metallica just got worse with that album. Far worse. At least to me.

Not gonna argue with you there. I've seen them live twice, Kirk fucks up a lot of solos and Lars...well...he never really was all that great. I won't deny that they aren't the tightest band ever, although I did enjoy the stagework.
Point is, some people will hate them simply because they don't sound like they did in the 80s.
