For me this is too fast, everything just seems to blow by and the phrases seem to collide with each other. The playing of course is wonderful. My favorite interpretation however is Rysanov. I feel his tempo allows there to be enjoyment in the music without being too slow, and the tempo still allows the piece to feel free.
yea but you know what it makes it so fresh. I've heard almost all the recordings out there of this. I like Power and Zukerman on this and perhaps Rysanov but this is a bit more ballsy. He puts the meaning back to vibrato rather than washing every note so heavily as is tradition.
good interpretation .... but sounds like violin....its not a bad thing....but its the truth....sorry
