  • In my opinion, Bongo will always be my favorite Disney bear! Screw Brother Bear, and hooray for Bongo!

  • THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS. i used to watch this all the time when i was younger

  • 1:04 WHAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

  • 1:36-1:39 & 2:11-2:12 What the fuck is up with that train!?!?!?!? Is it like a vacuum cleaner or something!?!?!?!?

"HEY, BONGO! GET GOIN'! YOU'RE ON!"

Look at Bongo's face at 2:13-2:14!!!! XD

  • CHILDHOOD! IVE MISSED YOU

  • It took me about 5 mins of searching bears say it with a slap to find this video :) i was thinking about it and i lost my cassete tape and i couldnt believe it was here. i watched it like every week as a kid and it brings back amazing memories. And i keep thinking how is bongo a national champion at boxing jujutsu and wrestling but cant fight a bigger bear with an omlette for a brain -_-.and yeah bongo DEFINATELY needs to be a playable character or at least a summon in kingdom hearts.

  • ,,,, what the,,, did the perdrix just slapped is kid?

  • That train is way too fast. Seems like a TGV or Bullet train instead of a circus one, which would usually chug along at a normal pace. Also, we can barely see the locomotive.

  • thumb up if you want bongo the bear make it to kingdom hearts

  • OMG MEMORIES!! XD I USE TO C THIS WHEN I WAS 3 AND NOW IM 16, SO HAPPY!!!

  • Yea keep laughing.. Bongo will eat you later

  • Animals should be free! not in circuses!

  • Haaa! I finally found this! I remember watching this in the nineties! I'm fucking 15 and still loving cartoons!!

  • 8:38

    ANIMAL BITCH SLAP!

  • Bongo can fall 300 feet and land on a sponge and juggle on a tight rope on a unicycle, but when it comes to hopping over a tree root...that's just too hard.

  • those two squirells >_> umm

  • I'm a 14 year old Disney buff. I got soo excited when I found this short. And Goliath II.

  • I never heard of the Jiminy Cricket version...and im 14. I've always seen this one.

  • WOW, the way that quail smacked his/her kid was totally unnecessary. It kinda disrupted the feel of the song too. O_O

  • Does anybody else think Bongo could be the Grandfather of Kit Cloudkicker from "Talespin"? Think about it, they look alike, they both do death defying stunts, They could totally be related!

  • 8:40 Child Abuse! 0_0

  • @sonicandjamesfan619 Lol, I always thought that bit was hilarious when I was younger, but, yeah, the daddy quail probably makes a mean drunk.

  • yes jiminy cricket

  • Nostalgia, tenfold right here. Anybody else?

  • OMG! THIS WAS MY SH*T (sorry for language) WHEN I WAS YOUNGER! I would watch it 24/7 and I always had to watch Bongo! I'm just so glad that I found it! I was actually thinking about this cartoon the other day and how much I loved it! So glad I found it! Thanks for uploading it! Brings back tons of fond childhood memories! :)

  • @bubblegirlFB i could not for my life think of the name of this movie i have been trying to find it for ever. i always watched this as a kid and couldnt remeber it and i had to look up a list of all disney movies of all time to find it. im so glad i found it this is my favorite movie

  • My dad gave me a 45 rpm record in the 1960s with the story of Bongo. And, in the 1990s I found out that Sinclair Lewis wrote the original short story. It was such a happy surprise because Lewis was one of my favorite authors (Main Street, Babbit, Elmer Gantry, etc.).

  • poor bongo!!!! :(

  • this should have taught the kids about the true stories of how animals are being treated poorly in circus :|

  • Cricket started but then he kicks a record on and the woman starts telling the story.

  • BONGO!!!! <3

  • 5:05 looks like chip and dale. Well almost =D

  • Yes, i remember when i saw this short since around 17 years ago in a different house, i remember my aunt had this movie. Now i am back watching it

  • @smilefumble I don't know. But I guess there's one floating around somewhere??

  • Could someone please upload the version narrated by Cricket?

  • @smilefumble Did Mr. Cricket Narrate it? I always thought Miss Dina Shore Narrated it? If there is a version by Mr. Cricket I gotta see it.

  • @tweethang1 Me too, I wonder where I can find it?

  • Comment removed

  • the train look's like dumbo

  • -screams- I NOW LOVE WHO EVER POSTED THESE VIDS!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • yeah it used to be a dude that narrarated this i like that version more

  • lol all the disney movies have somthing about them xD jumping into a bowl of a.........WET SPONGE D: XD i thought it was food xD and all these movies it seems like bongo is high he goes into a weird world xD lol

  • Wasn't there a version narrated by Cliff Edwards?

I swear I never heard a female narrating this...

Oh well, still one of my favourite shorts as a child.

  • i remember wachtin this all the time. this needs to come out on dvd. my vhs player doesnt work anymore :( im sad

  • i love disney.

  • bb

  • Disney at it's finest

  • I love Bongo! He is too cute for words and so is Lulubelle.

  • I'm confused =/ I thought it was Jimany Cricket that was telling the story...? At least that's how it is in My movie. Never heard it told in this woman's voice before. Is this like a different version or something?

  • Well, it was originally part of the feature film Fun and Fancy Free which had Dinah Shore's voice. It was released separately on TV as a short which had Jiminey narrating it.

A lot of these "package features have gone through this.

  • love it !

I use to watch this vidio when i was a kid :D

  • Dinah Shore has such a lovely voice!

  • @nhiapthao and she's beautiful, too

  • @SanDhampir magnificent she is!

  • That bear is like Chuck Norris

  • @aarondirebear Not like chuck Norris he is chuck Norris fore there can be only one chuck Norris.

  • @aarondirebear put "/watch?v=z2XUgE6g7XU" in your url and watch

  • @aarondirebear In what way?

  • This is quality. The animation is so beautiful. I hate those fucking DVD restaurations. It kills the beauty in the picture.

  • Hey! Those Chipmunks! It's Chip and Dale!

  • wow it is

  • i find it sad and disappointing that these movies aren't popular anymore. Just like i find it sad that no one appreciates the best part in WDW; Main Street

  • why do you like that best? i've never been to wdw but i've been to euro disney. Main Street's ok, but imo it's not the best

  • well, it's just that youre in such a rush to get to the main attractions, you don't stop and take time to notice the little things in Main Street. For example, there is a theatre that plays old Disney cartoons, and if its a particularly quite day you can hear music lessons coming from the upstairs of the store next to the barbershop, and that you can actually get a haircut in the Barbershop, and theres also a lot more

  • oh right cool

one thing though if i went on holiday i would not get my hair cut lol

  • I would it would be so cool to just say " I got my haircut at WDW"

  • i used to watch this heaps when i was young

  • i remember watching this movie when i was little, hahaha i used to love the part where he's trying to get in the tree. great movie.

    thanks for uploading :D

  • Didn't this short used to be read by Jiminy Cricket himself? I definitely don't remember a woman reading it.

  • I know, right?! Except, I think it was the voice actor that did the Cheshire Cat originally. This female voice is lame.

  • This is such a great movie, a Circus Bear adapting in the Wild is an Interesting story

  • The whole circus tent can fit in a train and gets out?

  • hey it's Disney..anything can happen!

  • omg i watched this movie when I was little all the time! I love it!

  • me too!!!!!!! i been looking everywhere for this!

  • and ...jump! hahaha i have alway adored this movie ever since the frist moment i saw it

  • I love Bongo.

I haven't seen just the movie, I only watch it on 'Fun and Fancy Free'.

  • i love Fun and Fancy Free it is a great movie! i love to hear that other people like these kinds of movies :))))))

  • Wait wait, nope.

    5:26. There we go. xD

  • Dude.

    LMFAO. 2:26.

  • BONGO KICKS ASS!

  • WAAAHAHAHAHAH @ 8:40 to freakin hilarious XD XD XD XD

  • Am I the only one who doesn't recognize the female narrator? I could've sworn the VHS I used to have was narrated by Cricket.

  • That's Dinah Shore narrating "Bongo;" other versions may have used Jiminy Cricket.

  • The movie starts out with an opening involving Jiminy Cricket, then he finds this story on a record narrated by Dinah Shore and the story of Bongo takes over from there.

  • @RiotClan The original had Dinah Shore narrating it, as it is in this one. When it was re-released in 1989, it was narrated instead by Cliff Edwards, who also is the voice of Jiminy Cricket. The one you saw was probably the re-release, so you're used to the male voice narrating the story. I personally like the Cliff Edwards version better. No one has yet put that version up on youtube.

  • @RiotClan No, it was her.

  • @RiotClan no the vhs one i had it had different narrators for each mini story, then when the story was over it went back to jimmanie cricket

  • I used to have this recorded on VHS just for the Bongo parts, even with the narriator

that drove me crazy after about 5 minutes Bongo was still adorable.

  • @RiotClan Me too! I still have it somewhere.

  • @RiotClan That's how mine was.

  • @RiotClan Actually, all of the VHS's had the female narrator. But either way, Fun and Fancy Free is definitely a good movie.

  • @RiotClan Wikipedia says Bongo is narrated by Dinah Shore. However in the re-release of Bongo, Cliff Edwards (as Jiminy Cricket) narrated the story.

  • @RiotClan

    it's dinah shore isn't it?

  • @iheartnewyorkbaby Yes the Narrator in this version is Miss Dina Shore. Who could mistake her voice! Seriously!! I wanna see the one where Sir Jimminy is the Narrator. If there is a version.

  • @RiotClan Yeah seriously, this particular narrator makes the cartoon about 70% less enjoyable.

  • @RiotClan That is understandable. Many versions of this film have been released with different narrators, but the original release is narrated by the lovely songstress, Dinah Shore.

  • @RiotClan: Dina Shore, if I'm correct, always narrated the story. You must be thinking of the introduction to Fun and Fancy Free from 1997.

I could be wrong though. Cricket could have done it in the past.

  • @RiotClan You probably are the only one. If you watch it again, you'll see that Jimminy Cricket DOES narrate Fun and Fancy Free. At one point he goes to a record player and takes out a record and says the woman's name, and then puts it on the record player and it starts playing "Bongo". You obviously haven't watched the movie.

  • @RiotClan In case you're wondering the narrator is Dinah Shore. The VHS you have is a re-release, the 2011 re-release used Shore original narration.

  • @RiotClan it;s dinah shore

  • @RiotClan The cricket is Jiminey Cricket

  • @RiotClan

The woman narrating the story is Dinah Shore.

  • @RiotClan Jiminy Cricket plays a tape narrated by Dinah Shore in the VHS tape.

  • thanx :)

  • I loved this movie as a kid.

  • i love this !!

  • Oh man! totally forgot about this movie.

  • Is the Ringmaster around somewhere?

  • o man I used to love this, never knew the name.

found it while searching under "slap" :P

  • Where's the Ringmaster from "Dumbo"?

  • This is a great short. It was suppose to be a full length feature in 1940's but the second World War caused it become a short when the Walt Disney Studios was low on money. It was in fact suppose to be a spin off of Dumbo at one point.

  • where did you hear that?

  • It was mentioned on a documentary for the "Fun and Fancy Free" DVD. It explained the origin of both "Bongo" and "Mickey and Beanstalk" plus how they were combined for the film "Fun and Fancy Free".

  • If it was up to me, if I was in Disney, I would've made a 2d animated feature of this. A live version would never work. No, I'm going traditional.

  • Same thing with me. But if you get the "Fun and Fancy Free" DVD, it mentions that there were suppose to be more characters in the film.

  • i love bongo the bear! i bought this DVD for my lil brothers thinking they would enjoy it as much as i did when i was a kid...i was wrong. i don't understand...i thought bongo was the bomb back in the day! shoot, he still is...

  • oh my god! it was totally an accident stumbling upon this video, but i'm glad i did! i used to love this!!
