This song always makes my cry no matter how many times I listen to it never gets old. Underrated too underrated. Listen to Farewell to Paradise it's nice too :)
Thanks for putting all these songs up. I still have the old LP I got for $2 in the bargain bin at Tower Records way back when, but don't have a turntable anymore. Still one of my favorites of all time.
Hi, sorry to nerd out but i dont think the flange was intended. could be microphone phasing due to him moving closer or around it.. remember this was recorded in his garage mostly.
So now THIS is they guy I've heard about for years as the one who bested Macca? I don't think so. Paul has a sense of wild, unrestrained fun in his music and this Emitt Rhodes character is just a tad too perfect. I bet there's not a "Hi Hi Hi," "Too Many People" "Juniors Farm" "Girls School," "helen Wheels" "Coming Up" or "Spies Like Us" in his entire output! Do a Little Richard or James Brown impression, c'mon I dare ya!

Thank you so much for putting all of Emitts' first album on here !! This album is truely a treasure and hopefully others that don't know of him will discover him .
I still have this lp and also his next one as well . Both are amazing but I do lean towards this one . Thanks again and all the best to you and yours !!
wow... flashback to 1975. my dad brought me some demo albums from the radio station when i was in college. played the crud out of this album. lost the allbum, sold it or gave it away. 33 years later I am watching "The Royal Tenenbaums" and I hear a familiar tune. Couldnt place it tho. Watched the music credits and whose name pops up???? Emmit Rhodes. Song still stuck in my head after all those years with never hearing it.
You're welcome slanzet, I have all his albums (including The Merry Go Round, his previous band) in mp3 format if you want it, just send me a PM on here :)
