  • I demand that both those thugs in uniforms get fired on the spot!

  • @beachcop526 It is scary to believe you are a police officer.I live in MB & witness you lazy, overpaid cops ignoring blatant crimes. The police on Washington allow drivers to do whatever they want, it's too much work to deal with. An officer told me that. Imagine the amount of crimes that could be found if you would stop just a tenth of these offenders.Think you could find some drugs? But then club owners would be mad and you wouldn't get any bribes. Most of you make over $100K & bankrupting MB.

  • beachcop526, get over it... you said it yourself, gays have sexual encounters outside for years.... so what's the point of bringing children and families into areas like that??? Ironically tho a gay beach or a park is the most safest place for females and children than all those family oriented community centers and schools where profanity, shootings and fights are an everyday norm.

Stick with what you know best and dont get in the way of what you don't know or dont understand.

  • lets hope it's not gonna be tolerated... however, miami beach government is so corrupt, their police department is running the city pretty much. Dealing with them about anything is impossible because they investigate themselves... Only Feds can fix it, anyone else will get arrested , beaten, threatened, and most likely will be forced to leave the city for good. The city of Miami Beach is a cesspool of corruption where laws and power are abused on a regular basis from top to bottom

  • By the way, I see on your website that you dislike rush judgements......HUH!!!!

  • @beachcop526 Rash* judgements, unless justified. In this case I wouldn't call my responses judgements, only facts and they are anything but rash.

  • If you want to post the fact that there is a pending lawsuit and what the allegations are then fine.....but you, like everyone else seem to already have your mind made up about what happened, and that is what is wrong with our society. If you were on the receiving end of an allegation you would demand that people reserve judgement until the facts are ALL laid out from both sides. But because it is a couple of cops...they don't deserve the same courtesy. Thanks for your support.

  • Well you sir are of course only reporting the ONE side of the incident. I know the 2 officers personally and can tell you that what was reported is not exactly what happened. The first guy was resisting arrest which causes officers to have to step it up. it isn't always pretty but its a response to that persons actions. As for the guy who made the call...well all I can't respond at this time due to the pending investigation....but it isn't as clear cut as he said.

  • I have worked undercover many times in the area to address the issue as have many other officers. Every time, it takes no more than 10 minutes for someone (sometimes multiple people) come up to us and try to get us to have sex and many times they have drugs on them. But I guess we are wrong for focusing efforts to address this PROBLEM.

  • @beachcop526 No you're not wrong for fighting crime or public indecency. However there is no excuse for beating a man who is doing his civil duty by reporting misconduct. The police have rules and limits that they must abide by.

  • @beachcop526 That's not your duty as a police officer. Do the MBPD have anything better to do with their time? No matter how you feel about it (I myself am against random hook-ups at this time in my life) two people consensually having sex is not a crime and you know it. It's bogus stuff like this that makes me afraid of our government and a police force which should be protecting us, not beating our skulls in over nothing. SCARY SHIT!

  • The fact that they are gay has nothing to do with it. If they want to "hook up" and go to there homes then nobody has a problem. But historically, a significant portion of the gay community in Miami Beach has a fettish with anonymous, random sex in public places. 21 street beach used to have the same problem. Bottom line is it needs to stop.

  • All this is is someone trying to twist the true facts of what happened that night to get the police to back off and let them do what they have been doing without any repercussions.

  • Here we go again!!!! I guess nobody wants to mention the fact that Flamingo Park has been a meeting place for gay men to congregate and have sex for YEARS. This iswhere the true problem lies. Flamingo Park is a park for families. People bring thier children and pets to the park that is littered with used condoms, used drug paraphernalia and other items that make it unsafe for the families that go there during NORMAL hours.

  • What is truly sad about this is the effect it will have upon the relationship between the gay population and the police force. Gays will be much less likely to report crimes for fear of what will happen to them. The reputations of good officers will be tainted by the rotten few. And the police force itself will have a much harder time arresting suspects and gathering information in the gay community, due to a pervasive fear and mistrust created by those who acted on hatred instead of acceptance.

  • This is truly a losing situation for both sides.

  • This is why cops need to be monitored closely by psychiatrists

  • The cops are beating on everybody, why should the fags get a free pass from police brutality? Did you hear about the 2 street preachers getting shot to death in Boyton Beach? I guess it would only be a problem to you if the victims were queers. Your altruism makes me want to puke. You have been push button programmed to hate free speech. You will ninny tomorrow night when the Tebow ad goes on. You rely on buzzers and bells to think, homophobia buzzer, bigot bell. Brainwashed and clueless.

  • I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I don't think that anyone should be the victim of police brutality be they gay, straight or whatever. I never heard about street preachers being shot dead and I actually highly doubt that happened but I will do some research on the issue to confirm the validity of your story. Just so you know, I recognize hate and bigotry as something that is wrong. Not because I'm against free speech but because it's simply dangerous. I think for myself.

  • @Rambo first of all that doesn't give the police a right to commit a hate crime against a person. I go to my local parks all the time to jog, walk and take in the outdoors not to look for sex. Thats a pretty strong stereotype you're presenting there and I caution against believing in all that hype. What about straight people who have public sexs in parks at night? Oh it happens believe me. So in essence I guess cops could beat you near parks too and it would be justifiable right?

  • Things like this don't make the media as they should. Instead we're focused on sex scandals and celebrity scandals. Events like this that could make people aware are shut out and instead we're spoon-fed the same bullcrap as always. I just wish there were more people like you out there Corey willing to stand up for true humanity...

  • I can't believe all this shit happening lately. There is a EAGLE here in San Diego CA too, but PD raids it when its a Black Out Party (no lights in the bar =TONS OF SEX)

  • Can't believe people are still so backward. Cops get over it there are Gay people and straight people, key point there both are people! Keep spreading the word!

    Cheers Christine

  • @christinepeace one of the strange aspects of this story is that I know gay police officers and deputies here in Georgia. After befriending such people stories such as this one come as a big shock to me because it's almost incomprehensible to think of such an incident occurring. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • The link is not working

  • Sorry about that. I'm not sure why it doesn't and I noticed when I bookmark it in my browser it fails then as well. I have included an alternative link which unfortunately does not have an audio clip but it's another article by the ACLU.
