dispatches is a load of crap.these dispatch people have prob never done a proper days work in there lives.i'm a postman and wore a pedometer for my round and guess what.27,000 steps,now times that by five days a week and your nackered by the end of it.now piss off dispatches your a bunch of pen pushing lazy busy bodys with nuffin else better to do.i totally agree with cashback13's comments.

Satnav won't make any difference as the routes can be complicated and require someone with local knowledge of the area. Plus they put people on several different routes in a week when they should give every their own route so they become used to it quicker rather than expecting "instant success" it's not suprising mistakes happen with stupid management methods!

Besides, posties should be given a route map in order to navigate their way around.

I sent two packages 8th of January using First class Recorded Delivery (usually two-day service), it was delivered on Sunday 24th of January almost three weeks later.

Before the packages arrived, I was unable to tell whether my goods had been stolen, lost, delayed etc.

Notice everything went downhill since Labour overstayed their welcome in Parliament, totally ruining the country.

Well, actually I can.

The Royal Mail Management is overpaid, there are people out there who will do their job to a 5 star standard who will accept less money, because we are all not so greedy.

Now, the Government is to blame because they are trying to privatise this company. It is still owne by the UK Government, therefore, the fiasco that is currently taking place with this company rests firmly on their shoulders until they fix the problem, part of which is the excessive salaries for CEOs.

Such a One-Sided Documentary focused on the 'Mistakes' or bad practice of the workers but didn't take into account WHY that was happening when you've worked at Royal Mail for a few years and put up with all the Shite ad lies they thrown it's no wonder Overworked disgruntled workers take short-cuts to try and make their job a little less tortureous! The people at the top should be the investigated ones! Not the man on the street! Stupid Channel 4!

Security is being compromised with the closure of gatehouses at large mail centres, increasing the workload of already overworked staff inside the building whilst giving a far lower standard of security, sickening, the documentary is a true portrayal of royal mail nationwide.

No it isn't! It's been targeted/edited delibrately to make an O.T.T Documentary seem more convincing! They were only there a couple of weeks anyway every new posties has teething problems because it's a 'learn as you go along style of work' problem is 'temporary' workers because they don't give a shit about doing thing properly and therefore give other better workers a bad reputation!

My own experiences working for Royal Mail for the last 20 years have helped me formulate my opinion, it may be different in other parts of the country, i guarantee security is being compromised at major mail centres, managers general attitide is to pass the buck.

I've been an Temp @ PO and can tell u it's hell. I was on 50p/hr more than the FT workers and they hated it. Even the manager hated me/us. They gave no help and did everything possible to make us look bad to justify they're own existence. No training. No help. Just, "get on with it".

That guy was lucky to get some instructions.

@Ajayxxxx if you watch again youll see that the worker in question is agency staff. they dont have the same privalages as postmen on the royal mails books. the royal mail would rather get rid of the postmen on there books and hire agency staff instead. its about saving money. the post office workers havent been striking for more pay. its about the pensions scandal they have had to face. there pensions have been frozen dispite the workers still paying in to the scheme

I've worked for Royal Mail for nearly 10 years, in mail centres & delivery offices & I've never seen anything like this. What a pile of badly edited, contrived bollocks. I feel sorry for the British public, having to sit & be force fed this parody. A casual agency worker questioning a P/O manager? Have a day off will you dispatches, it's getting boring now. No P/O = country @ a standstill.

They probably picked the worst office to send them too possible. Wouldnt surprise me if someone from the labour party played a part in getting the programme aired , to help get backing in selling off royal mail.

After watching this programme,I am now even more convinced that the Royal Mail as we know has`nt got long to live.I feel sorry for all the workers.£4.85 to send a Special delivery letter by 1pm the next day,and STILL doesnt arrive? The complaints process is a joke.Does`nt anybody care anymore !!!!
