maybe I'm crazy, but I really don't feel like this sounds any good at all. I like Ben Folds, but I hear him scooping up to pitches and missing piano notes all over the place? Does anyone else think this is really overrated?

It's not a complete loss for you. Maybe the two of you can critically deconstruct emotionally charged art work together to find tiny, arbitrary flaws and then post about them on the internet. @idunbin It's arbitrary because the medium is art, not because pitch doesn't matter. What matters is if you like what you hear. If you don't, no worries. But *why* doesn't matter because that is only important to you. In fact, it may only be apparent to you as well. Think of how two different people can look at a painting and one thinks it is a magnificent masterpiece and the other thinks it is worthless trash. When such chasms can exist, why bother examining the individual brush strokes?
