They were constantly changing actually. (compare None So Vile to Once was Not, two great Cryptopsy albums) And suddenly , they decided to go on without Jon Levasseur (one of the driving forces behind the band) and Lord Worm (legendary vocalist) I don't call that change. That's just moving backwards in my opinion.

I'm really curious about their next album. Maybe they'll bring back a bit more of that old school energy and bring out the guitairs a bit. I personally think that the band thought that the 90's brutal death metal is not relevant anymore so they added more "contemporary" elements. I hope that something truly unique will come out of all this on the next album ... neither pure deathcore nor another NoneSoVile. They need to leverage their experience as musicians. I'm being positive.

evereyone with a minimal sense for music will get over the vocals and see what an amazing liveband Cryptopsy are. don't get me wrong, "the unspoken king" was terrible but even McGachy envolved.

LOLOLOLOLOL, Matt McGachy is the only decent member left in Cryptopsy. It almost looks like Flo and Eric forgot how to play their instruments before the release of The Unspoken Queer. Now that Alex left there are no good guitarists left in Cryptopsy and McGachy improved his growls. I've seen them live and they were sick.
