Re last time David sang I'll Be... The Idol pre-screening auditions are in front of some lower level judges. Four people at a time each had about 15 seconds to sing something. They told all 4 in David's group that they were not what Idol was looking for. David and his family headed out of the stadium and someone was yelling wait wait but he didn't think it was for him. But they caught up with David and said he was through to the real auditions. What David sang that day was a bit of I'll Be.
