  • Walking might be a way to exercise but Ive heard that to actually lose the fat around the muscles you have to do exercises that increase the heart rate which doesn't happen when walking. Maybe when brisk walking but not during nature walks.....is this really true? Because what you say in your video contradicts everything....

  • Several ways, actually. Yoga can not only help you be more flexible than ever, but also, in doing the poses you utilize and strengthen your muscles at the same time. More muscle = burning fat faster.

    It's a good thing to add to any exercise program, but may not be the most effective in burning fat byu itself. It's a combination of eating right and getting lots of activity. :)

  • EXACTLY! I hate running but love pilates, volleyball, biking, etc... do what you like to do people not what you're friends think will help you loose weight or what works for them if you don't enjoy it!

  • It's true - it's so important to make exercise fun. I think especially when people are really out of shape and/or overweight, we feel like we deserve to be punished by "WORKING" out, or we're a embarrassed/unsure of ourselves getting out and doing something fun for exercise in front of others. That's just a setup for failure, though. There's a ton of fun stuff to do for exercise! Example: I own an exercise bike. But it's a lot more alluring to play DDR hard for an hour than ride for an hour!
