Nice thing about none FR guitars is that when you bust a string it doesn't throw the guitar outta tune. If this had happened on a floyd or edgepro system it would've been impossible to continue.

In many scales, positions, solos or whatever, the pinky is very usefull and it's not as exhausting as play everything with 3 fingers (because of wide streching and so on..).

I had problems with my pinky too and practice a lot for it. I think I didn't spend much time for it... Just how every f***ing instructional video ends: "Practice, practice, practice!"

Thats the key to rock with the pinky ^^

Andy kinda gives me hope because he doesn't use his pinky too often, like compared to malmsteen, loomis, or batio. most times when i play up high it's just impossible to use my pinky, and when i watch him play it kinda looks like how i play. mind you i said "looks", not "sounds" haha.

keep using it and you'll gradually improve you technique. It more useful to use 4 fingers than 3, believe me!!!
