  • Always +

  • God I love Paul!

  • hahahaa

  • I absolutely love these guys and this song especially but this is an example of how much production values are key when in the studio as opposed to live performances.

  • I Absolutely Hear You With Some Reverb!! (This Coming From A "Flock" Fan!)...I Do Remember That They LOST Their Soundman For This Concert, And 2 Others!....Type In "AFOS Space Age Lovesong-Brixton-Live"...As They Are Much Sharper Sounding In That Set.....

  • put some reverb on those vocals damnit!!

  • this is my nickname in lacrosse

  • Hell Yeah!

  • I'd love to do the really cool guitar riff.

  • type in : Space Age Love Song - Brixton (Live) - A Flock of Seagulls for a better performace

  • 1:40 I didnt know Donald Trump had a Alternative band, he was so young!

  • it's funny how much i hated this band in high school because they looked so ridiculous, but now it sounds good as music I would listen to since 2008; they still look ridiculous (at least the singer).

  • Doesn´t matter what you say, doesn´t matter what you do! They are the great "A Flock of Seagulls", they save me through my horrible adolescence time. Thanks you, Flock !!!

  • @SirDrFish No, he's making LOVE to the keyboard. Anyone can see that. Seriously though, you cracked me up.

  • HE IS RAPING THAT KEYBOARD!! WHY IS NO ONE STOPPING HIM?! THIS IS HORRIBLE!

  • @Doohanfan HAHAHAH the only why white boys can do it.

  • Greatest AFOS song!!!

  • 1983

  • One of the best bands in rock history.

  • type the following: Space Age Love Song - Brixton (Live) - A Flock of Seagulls

    much better performance

  • Hopefully Rihanna, Gaga and the rest of those idiots, will see this and realize pop music can have drums, guitar and still rock.

  • Omg I came from sym bionic Titan thumbs up

  • Thumbs up if you came here from Sym Bionic Titan!

  • can u beleve that some of them are hairdressers wot the fuck happend to his hair i would ask 4 a refund ?

  • this just goes to show how good producersand mixers can manipulate voices in the studio. the vocalist can't really sing, but on cd he sounds much better. same thing goes for paula abdul, jennifer lopez, madonna, and almost everyone in music currently lol

  • @jimmypage444 : 100% agree. Love the song but he sounds like crap.

  • @jimmypage444

he was sick in this performance but still ur right lol

  • @jimmypage444 type the following: Space Age Love Song - Brixton (Live) - A Flock of Seagulls

    much better performance

  • I wish music was still like this makes me cry i I feel amazing listening to this gives me chills

  • I love these guys and this song, but ye gods, is it just me, or is this particular performance off key and anemic somehow???

  • @stillwaterguy04 No, the vocals and balance are TERRIBLE. Very nice songwriting though. And hairdo.

  • What a great band. And great song

    And bad image

  • Was he fucking the keyboard the whole time?

  • @SoxPatsCelts1995 you mean flocking the keyboard

  • nice nice,love this song

  • Around this time there were many space age things happening HP, came out with a computer that was internet capable, The space shuttle program was in full production and theMRI had just been out a short time. Awsome space age developements.

  • wow omg does he have Jhizz in his throat, he can sing better than that!

  • STEVE BLACKNELL

  • wow... good song but jeez whats up with his voice?

  • @dogluverdanny He wasn't lip syncing, unlike most in Britain.

  • 80s rule!

  • 80's music rules!!!

  • I <3 this song

  • what kind of guitar is paul using...

  • Shit, I've lived all my life 5 miles from Liverpool and never knew these guys were from my home town!

I will have to listen to more of their music!

    80s music is best!! :-)

  • 27 years ago today too cool

  • Great song! Sounds just as good as it did 30 or so years ago.

  • Korg Delta string synth,

    Two Roland SH09s

    Boss 505 drum machine.

  • @thizzhernandez Unfortunately, this wasn't Mike's best performance.

    Good song, nontheless.

  • Mike Scores "humping" motion at the beginning while playing piano was quite arousing.

    I love this band. <3

  • This is such a brilliant version of this song!

  • now i know from which band THE KILLERS stole their idea of SPACEMAN

  • does anyone knows what synths hes using???

  • roland juno 60 was a choice of flock of seagulls synthesist for a time

  • That guitar looks soo freakin awesome!

  • I love Paul reaction at 3:04 when he saw that Frank forgot to sing :D This was awesome !!!

  • @agena83 Yeah, that is classic!!!!

  • @agena83 WTF are you talking about? It seemed seamless to me.

  • @agena83 he was probably like WTF sing damnit

  • Paul Reynolds seems like a crazy good guitar player... lead singer sounds nervous or can't sing.

  • best band the word

  • So good! Yet, so short-lived v_v

  • so true :(

  • hhahah stupid aure232 you are stupid maybe becouse some poeple that can sing good just have a lack of imagination and creativity and other maybe dont sing so good but have good songs that are cachy for the fans but i gues you spend your time talkin shit instead of trying to make something that capteres poeple minds you stupid fuck pleas die

  • You noob does not know what music is, so shut up. If there is "music" for the deafs then go and listen it...

  • AFOS Forever!

  • dang, lead singer does miss so much notes it hurts my ears...Better keep instrumental without vocals

  • Oh give me a break. He can sing better than you can anyday.

  • No he won't! i would not miss a single note cause i never do! XD

  • Yeah when you sell millions of albums then you can talk. Otherwise I could care less of your talent and by the way you probably would miss notes.

  • I can talk cause it makes me sad how tone deaf peeps can sell millions of albums and even more sad that peeps will buy them...

  • why are you worried about people missing tones in the songs huh? You are strange bro, I tell you that. Get over it already and know that you'll never amount to anything in the music industry.

  • Well the only two with talent were paul and frank. PAUL REYNOLDS IS THE SOUND OF AFOS. Mike was jerk his band who were sincere good people and was even a asshole to his own brother. He always had a big head acted bigger than he was for a guy that cant sing or play keys, it so obvious that he cant even program a synth because he always gets different sounds from live shows. Great LP band. Paul is awsome anytime.

  • And quantity will not beat quality....never!

  • A lot of people have made millions of quantity over quality in the music industry. It makes no difference. The songs are what the fans like and you can't change people's minds.

  • Rite, but i still sing way better

  • I don't think so. What songs do you sing? Haven't heard of you before, maybe because your not really that talented huh?

  • As you can see, some peoples who can sing are not famous and some peoples who cannot sing are famous...Thats a paradox and not a talent.

  • best band ever

    NEW WAVE FOREVER

  • This MFer cant sing AT ALL!!! The magic of in-studio over dubbing!!!

  • best band the word

  • they did reform for 1 gig for vh1 it was great seeing them back together, there was a lot of problems in the band that's why they split.

  • miss the eighties !!!

  • why is he humping the keyboard?

  • i thought the same thing just as i read your post!!

  • best band the word

  • bonita canción, llena de viejos recuerdos.

yeah dude hi screw up but it doesn`t matter.

  • heard.I blew my old "indestructable" JBL Mindblowers on The Fixx, Red Skies.

  • exelente simplemente eso!

  • It can't get more "80's" than this. Beautiful.

  • P. Reynolds rules.

  • The bass player is killing me with his '80's white dude' dance. lol

  • amazing how effects make a difference on album. keys and vox needed help bad!

  • When I was in high school and college in the '80's, I took for granted that great music like this would be produced for the foreseeable future. And, for a while into the 90's, there was excellent music. Then, it just went to absolute hell, and there's maybe 1 good song a year instead of 2 a month, like back then. Did we enter a new plane of creativity that wasn't as expansive?

  • yes.

  • Lewd, the way he's frolicking with the keyboard.

  • why is he shagging the keyboard?

  • shit... this was the really good pop music, like the 80's even though the best music of this decade was rock and heavy metal, but the pop was great, not like today's bands of pop.

  • Ouch. This is a good song but clearly they were trashed to sound this bad in this video. This is crap, period.

  • Quite a good song from my schooldays. Pity he can't sing!

  • can some one tell me other great other great 80s bands like this??thanks

  • OMD,Echo and the Bunnymen,Siouxsie and the Banshees,Human League, Big Audio Dynamite, just to name a few.....

  • the fixx,asia,

  • The Chameleons

  • That guitar riff is pretty rad.

  • look at the lead singer at the keyboard omg its so funny

  • Oh man, these guys are terrible live. They shoulda stuck to the studio.

  • I like 80's music!

    this song's awesome

although I was born in December 1989

     -_-

  • I've never seen anybody freak a keyboard like that

  • nice song

  • por k dios no naci en los 80 en donde habia muy buena musica sobre todo el new wave ...le doy gracias a mi viejo k ya me dejo una herencia adelantada k es la musica ochentera

  • Este videito q chvR!

  • Flockingtastic! They created some of the most beautiful music textures.

  • u know that guy hates doing this song

  • It's I ran, not this one

  • oddly enough i was also thinking of how id give my left nut to have grown up with this stuff

  • Feel for ya, I was 12 and liked this and about 70% of the music of the day. But I Have the same problem. would give left nut and a kidney to have been around for Hendrix. glad to see younger people not to much a fan of music thats put out nowadays.

  • Modern Music is crap with ther yo yo hip hop sh*t, this stuff is the best :)

  • OMG ! this song is ..... the best

  • Cook Da Books Piss all over these!

  • im right with you 2007jack

  • white. leather. pants.

  • your a dick.

  • space age love song is my favorite song!

  • very poor mix due on behalf of whoever was in charge of that

  • man gotta love the way they move

  • VH1 had this band and the song I ran being at the number 2 one hit wonder of all time of the 80s. ???? What????This was not the best band of all time but it certainly was not a one hit wonder, this song here is proof of that, they had some other good songs to like wishing and telecommunication. The people at VH1 are doing a great job, :( bunch of fn retards.

  • Very painful!

  • One of the most underrated bands of all time.

  • Love the guitar solo

  • I've seen Flock of Seagulls in concert twice and they sounded great. In this one the vocals are a bit off-key. Maybe he had a cold! I don't know, but anyone can have an off-night. I just don't get why they are called "one hit wonders". I thought that they had lots of great songs!

  • This song used to be a signal song in my favorite POP program of Korea radio station.

    I love it!

  • beam me back to the '80s. good times. (but i recall even back then there were effects to help out the singer.)

  • 80's dance style purely funny

  • cringed a bit when i heard the vocals but still a terrific song.Getting my hair done a la the seagulls !

  • This is a Andy Pullin song

  • Thank you 777follower, couldn't agree more. I've been going to classical music concerts because, even though the music isn't as enjoyable to me, at least you don't have to deal with the jerks. Of course last year some punk got into a fight at our town's symphony -- I'm sure he's a hero to his peer group. BTW, Paul "Reno" Reynolds is WICKED AWESOME!!!

  • I LOOOOVVVEEEE YOU MIKEE!!!!

  • For all those people criticizing the vocals, you should check out Stephen Pearcy from the band Ratt.

Live, he sings pretty much off key versus the albums. Ratt's guitarist, Warren DeMartini, said that he doesn't think Ste is comfortable in any key when being asked by an interviewer what key did Ste prefer singing in.

  • 80s FOREVER!!!!!

  • who woulda thought techno live woulda be so nice ...

  • great band, great era, 80s music rocks.

  • NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A COMB OVER!!!!!!!!!

    good song btw

  • I Love The 80s

No 10 Years Of Great Music Can Beat The 80s

    :)

  • He makes love to his keyboards at the begining watch.

  • silly bitch :P

  • bloddy awesome!!!!

  • one of my all time favorite songs. thank you

  • I like the part where Frank didn't sing that part, but Paul did. Then Paul stopped and looked right at Frank like "Dude, the hell" :)

  • This is an awesome jam!! I love 80's music, altho i was raised in the 90s. But i must disagree greatly on those saying that music sucks these days. A majority of the true, inspirational music is not one that you might find on the radio. Its the less main stream stuff. If you really want real good music. Check out bands like Flaming Lips, Mystery Jets, Young Love, Chairlift. There are many more...

  • ah, pretty good wisdom from a younger person, i grew up in the 60's - 70's, and your correct most top 40 sucks...but this was top 40 at one time.....

  • your right to like the 80s iam a massive fan of omd! they are gr8 band if u get time check em out :)

  • what a treat! thanx! yep, some of us do recall when music rocked! Thanx again!

  • 777follower I must agree with you 100% Spoiled kids is right pants that halfway down there buttocks my God back in the day we would have been the lauging stock if i had dressed like that , I think kids that have cell phones are just asking for troble in more ways than one , And yes the music of today really sux big time !!!!! 80's need a big comeback those were the days !

  • there is a lot of quality music being made nowadays. You just haven't found it yet, or it hasn't found you.

  • You might be right about there being a lot of quality music, but in truth, where is today's Beatles? It seems that this generation does not have even one iconic band that can define it, unless you want to point at the Jonas Brothers or what? Britney Spears? I kinda feel sorry for today's kids. If there are any iconic bands out there, let's hear about them!

  • ONE WORD....BLUR

  • never heard of them so no

  • I did check them out and they were pretty good...but, still, not quite up there. Not yet.
