You have a reason for responding to me, surely! Fyi, I'm from England but I speak four languages. Translate this: Eres un pendejo que no sabe como disfrutar buena musica sin hacer comentarios estupidos.

  • Man, that bass line is awesome! I think this song is more like 60's garage rock than like 90's shoegazer.

  • this makes me all warm and fuzzy sufuckinperb

  • this beats the fuck out of the Chemical Brothers' Star Guitar in terms of pure psychedelic bliss out

  • Picture the scene:

Summer 1991 and being driven home by my then gilrfriend's mum, with girlfriend in the car also. I politely ask if it's OK to have a music tape on, and my girlfriend's mum say's 'of course, that's absoluetly fine'. I hand her RIDE 'Nowhere' on tape.

Imagine her surprise/horror at the guitars in overload/feedback squall that beautifully unfolds! Suffice to say, after Seagull she quickly stops the tape and says ,what an earth is this rubbish'! HA!

    SHOEGAZE ON!

  • XXXXXTHANKS TO HAVE POST THIS!!! so many "souvenirs" listening to this..., still sounds incredible after the years!!waooouuww!!

  • @TheClarenceter

All Americans? Surely you must have a tiny clue that hundreds of millions of people are Americans, from Canada down to Argentina. Or maybe you were referring to citizens of the USA? In any case, you make a pathetic, lazy comment. What kind of person makes such blanket statements.

  • @jrussell9898 Poor, disgusting, greasy fat American.

The fat animal is so illiterate beyond words that he cannot even recognise his own demonym.

  • Saw These Live At The Humminbird , Birmingham 91 , Still Sounds The Dogs Bollocks !!!!!!

  • @MrCloobey with Mercury Rev supporting?

  • So much energy wow

  • You can see how the infectious American comments are ruining every single comment board on YouTube. Same with ANYTHING in culture.

  • @TheClarenceter "the infectious American comments?" What language do you speak, because it's obvious that English is not your native tongue... else you have a cognitive disorder... which is it? Both? OK, kill yourself.

  • @phallusbravo My English is clearly better than your own.

Americans do not speak or type in English at any point in their miserable, fat lives. They speak gibberish.

  • i miss this alot... great live...

  • @89natobus me too - saw them in St Kilda, Melb, Australia.

    Amazing.

  • nice bassline rip off dickless asshole

  • The bass line sounds like taxman

  • @Radiohead17321 I thought the exact same thing. lol

  • If only seagulls and their favorite pastime of shitting everywhere provided as much pleasure as listening to this song

  • Psychedelic shoegazing bliss. Used to crank this up at work. Scared the suits more than gangsta rap did. :)

  • The beginning reminds me of those dancing scenes in Austin Powers.

  • I have the album I'm so proud of myself..

  • they are the precious band who have a British rock decency.

  • taxman bassline!!

  • One of the starting riff makes me think of Beatles' "Taxman" ^^

  • ageed , 1980nothing .this sounds like tin shit snapping to a count bassie tune in slow mo , this song rules on vinal !

  • @NinteenEightyNothing you are so right about this track, and most all of Ride's tracks. Vinyl, and proper headphones.

  • If you rely on YouTube for your music, you don't understand good sound quality.

But there's nothing wrong with discovering brilliant songs like this on the internet

  • Now I know where Noel got some of the sounds he used in DOYS. It's Andy who brought them!

  • oh man!!! the bass line sounds alot like the beatles taxman. ahaha, cool. the jam used that in one of their songs too.

  • @clubfootforyou they didn't, but they don't suck.

  • @ckubfootforyou

Who said Ride had anything to do with grunge? Think before you post ok.

  • I bought the vinyl in the early 90´s. Absolutely awsome. Thank you for uploading!!

  • This song is a total eargasm. Absolutely fucking brilliant.

  • impressive...

  • I HAVE MEZCAL HEAD ON VINYL

  • @Jeddars I am jealous. One of my favorite albums that has to be turned all the way up.

  • Andy Bell!!

  • love love love it makes me cry

  • @themightycelestial The Stone Roses were around before Ride.

  • Me and this album were very good friends back in 90/91.

  • Best psychedelic song since '8 miles high'

  • Often imitated but never duplicated. Ride were on of the greatest bands if only for a moment. Check out Swervedriver, Pale Saints, My Bloody Valentine if you like this.

  • @MrGoatEyes very clever my friend!! more of this kind!! :D

  • Time to dig out the vinyl methinks...

  • Ah,songs about LSD.

WE know there's no limit to a thought

  • lomao @ some thing......

  • just heard this on 8 o clock albums, fm 94.9 is boss!

  • listened to the group 4 days ago. man this is WAY better than anything marshall tucker band has to offer

  • The genre "shoegazing" is amazing, i really hope more shoegazing bands start forming again like they did in the late 80's and 90's, latest shoegazing band i know is Suckle, who realeased an ablum in 2000

  • @Mayubix theres actually been a pretty huge shoegazeing revival over the last couple of years - look up deerhunter, the pains of being pure at heart, crystal stilts, no age, washed out etc.

  • @Mayubix check out a band called "LSD and the search for God" they're a new shoegaze band and their guitar tone is perfect.

Also try an Australian band called "The Laurels", they're also very new, i think they only have one ep out but its quite shoegazey

  • @Mayubix There are a couple shoegaze revival bands that have come from Portland, Oregon: Saturna, and The High Violets

  • @lambrettist2007 Is there still a scene in Portland for shoegaze revival bands? I mean, is it current? I live an hour south of Portland and want to start a shoegaze band of my own.

  • @SuperiFox The High Violets have new recording out. Maybe contact them and they might put you in touch with some like-minded musicians.

  • only Like a Daydream takes me higher than this song

  • Wore out both my vinyl and tape version of this album - n V likely my ears too!!!!

  • Words to last verse:

Now it's your turn to see me rise, You burned my wings, now watch me fly,

    Above your head.

Looking down I see you far below, Looking up you see my spirit glow

  • I like the Byrds delivery in the vocals.

  • @slightreturn104 yeah right on!

  • i love this song!

  • this track is the best rock n roll song

  • Prior to releasing LP's they had the coolest looking EP's. Collected them all. Much better than their LP's.

  • I am swirling in heaven right now.,..

  • VERY EXCELLENT and FAR OUT!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD someone finally posted this song. THANKS!!

  • Youtube is not the medium for this song. You need it on vinyl. There is so much going on here that can't hear :)

  • @NinteenEightyNothing I agree, but to refresh our memories or to introduce bands like Ride to the young youtube is very handy, it does sound better on vinyl for sure, you and I might have it, but we are a minority I'm affraid.

  • @NinteenEightyNothing If you rely on YouTube for your music, you don't understand good sound quality.

But there's nothing wrong with discovering brilliant songs like this on the internet

  • @NinteenEightyNothing i agree. you hear so much more on a vinyl than through a cd or a youtube video

  • @NinteenEightyNothing oooh, good thing I have it :D

  • @NinteenEightyNothing

    Like what?

  • classic early nineties song, love it

  • this brings me back to when I was 17. i loved ride. especially Nowhere
