  • wow exciting racing at Pocono! I would never have thought it would happen based on the 2x 2011 races. The first 2011 Pocono race had 4 cautions, all for "debris".

  • @AlonsoRules Greg Biffle spun and they never threw a caution for it. That would've lead to more.

  • I love it when people are served their own medicine. It's so sad that Mayfield's career was ruined because he was one of the best drivers in his prime. I got to meet him when I was a kid & got an autograph, he was very nice and it's sad to see the NASCAR talent thinned out like that.

  • As a Gordon fan I thought this was funny at the time

  • I didnt realize Mayfield was in Nascar for that long. What a loser to throw it all away for dope. I wonder how he will explain how they found the meth, guns and ALL of that stolen shit at his house? i guess its was Nascar setting him up again right?

  • Best race finish I ever saw

  • That freaking meth-head. . . (Huge Sr. fan, and I still think NASCAR set-up Mayfield on the drug charges)

  • @NigarT you still think nascar set up the meth head

  • @ntibbs100 I stand corrected.

  • you gotta love dale pointin at him at the end of the race....tell ya the truth id say dale was probably proud of him

  • @seyloisqueer4life That "pointing" was done with his middle finger. I remember watching this race and one of the commentators saying "he told him he was number 1."

  • @deathrattle420 lmao lookin at it it kinda does look like he did haha man sure do wish racing today was like this

  • Gone to race ..... In a better place

  • Mayfield had potential in NASCAR and then he fucked up cause of drugs

  • You gotta be good to keep up with Sr :P

  • Big E got a taste of his own medicine right there. Great call by Eli Gold. Ironically, Buddy Baker, Eli Gold, and Glenn Jarrett can all still be heard on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio. Gold does occasional lap-by-lap announcing, Jarrett on pit row, and Baker co-hosting Tradin' Paint.

  • I saw how Dale flipped Mayfield off, and he had every right to do so. How dare Mayfield! He used the patented Earnhardt move, on the man who patented it! And to top it all off, it was used against Earnhardt by a NASCAR has-been. The NERVE!

  • @The1994Gforce Actually, Mayfield was a promising young up and coming driver in 2000. He had yet to become a has-been.

  • @The1994Gforce as a huge Earnhardt Sr. fan, I love to see this finish, I love how Mayfield bumps Earnhardt and passes him to win, made for an exciting finish, and Sr. is a big reason Mayfield got into the cup sieries in the first place, Sr. was actually very proud of Mayfield, you have got to realize that someone who never gets beat, and has had so much success, was actually fun to watch get beat, Mayfield proved he was'nt intimidated by Sr., and that is what Sr. like about Mayfield.

  • @The1994Gforce It was not started by dale himself it was started in the 60's and 70's so technically dale took it off them and yes I was a fan of earnhardt too but I still loved that race seeing him get it for once

  • nvm it sounded like shit

  • 0:51 Did he just say "Listen to this shit" ROFL

  • @DaleEarnhardtRIP Yes he did. I remember that plain as day when I was watching this race. That was actually one of the first things I was looking for when I clicked on this video. Lifelong Earnhardt fan here too. RIP DE

  • @DaleEarnhardtRIP lol, I think that is what Ned Jarret is laughin about after he said it.

  • @DaleEarnhardtRIP definitely said shift..watch the driver switch gears afterwards.

  • It is such a shame that both of these guys careers are over they were both real drivers and if still in the sport today would probably have nascar being entertaining

  • Comment removed

  • I love how Mayfield has his hand out of the window waaaay before the start-finish line.

And when Earnhardt drives up next to him and points. Hahaha!

  • I can watch this over & over and still get the chills! David vs Goliath

  • Kellarj has some serios issues

  • To all saying dale flipped him off, look at the vid. Its his index finger. And you're all idiots for thinking otherwise/

  • If you look at Earnhardt's hand at 4:20, he flipped off Mayfield. That shows you that Earnhardt was a sore loser.

  • @rjl1184 thats his index finger you fucktard...

  • Typical flip the bird from Earnhardt to Mayfield. He was classless. Couldn''t take his own medicine with class

  • @Duke4Reuti moron. wouldnt you? Im sure a fair share of drivers flipped him off. Its what happens. Shut the fuck up, you obviously know nothing of class

  • @KellarJ ouch!! lolo

  • I had tickets to this race. Too bad it was rained out and I couldn't stay to watch it on Monday. :(

  • Of course, some idiots have to leave a comment about the Mayfield drug thing.

  • i had made a bet that Dale Jarrett would finish ahead of Dale SR that race. thank you jeremy for earning me some money lol that was pretty and thats how you rattle ones cage hahahahaha loved seeing earhardt get moved out of the way lol

  • Want a move by Mayfield! wow.

  • "Pocono races are boring"

Bullshit. One of many thrilling, classic finishes you'll find at Pocono.

  • haha if i recall earnhardt actually had a sense of humor about the finish, when questioned about what was said when he pulled alongside mayfield earnhardt replies "he told me he's number 1"

  • "Mayfield. Contact. Shove. Win"

  • there is no way he was doing meth and could keep it together like he did or keep it unknown to the other drivers and there is no way he could have used it during a race i have never seen a pit stop where they put a straw and mirror in the window to the driver a meth head would not have made that move for a win he would have run in the back so no one was after him

  • No matter what you think in about 20 years this will probably be one of the most famous moves to win.

  • and 4:38 lol

  • 4:31 is his cocaine sniff.

  • Bump n run.

  • The hood off of this car is for sale on eBay.

It has about 14 hours left, and is at around $1,500.

Its signed by Dale and Richard.

That would be some piece to have!

  • Watch and listen to Mayfield at the end of the race, Sounds like his nose would not stop running but he did not have a cold. He was sniffing throughout the entire interview. This is exactly what people on Meth do. I thought they were screwing him over until I saw this. Look at him wipe his nose as soon as her exited the car. WOW

  • @blackrednek To be fair, sometimes I got nose runs after being in heat for awhile (and it gets hot in the car). Though I'd be amiss to say you're off base, given what we ended up learning about Mayfield.

  • @blackrednek I think you are off base. 1) How do you know he did not have a cold or allergies. 2) Do you know lots of people on meth? I mean, really... If you did, you would know that someone on methamphetamine could not maintain the stamina and physical conditioning necessary for this level of competition over the period of time Jeremy was competitive in NASCAR. You can't be a meth head since 2000 and make the chase like he did. I think you're using hindsight to read into something.

  • @racegirl89041 You may be right. I was just taken back to some of the things that the witnesses against him said that he was doing it from a long time ago. This was a summer race too not allergy season spring time. Personally I like Mayfield but I could not figure out why NASCAR would target him like that. I am just saying maybe there is something to the allegations. He was seen doing it, the test said he did it and he looked like he thought his nose was out of control after he won a race. think

  • @blackrednek

Even if NASCAR set Mayfield up, the way he handled the whole deal was the worst possible thing he could of done.

  • My first Nascar race.... awesome! Man did it rain a lot that weekend though (this race was on Monday)

  • One of the few guys who had the balls to do that too bad he had to ruin his life with drugs

  • Rubbin racin Dale Earnhardt is the best of all time

  • Why is it okay for Dale Earnhardt sr or Jr to drive aggresive against anyone in the field but when they get driven aggresive against u earnhnardt fans get your pantys in a bunch? I demand a answer!

  • @bigfoot2448 I've also been trying to figure this out. I don't think I know why. I know what you mean too. Somebody wrecks Earnhardt Sr or Jr and it's wrong. Jr or Sr wrecks somebody and it's okay. I don't get it.

  • I'm glad to see that someone had the balls to give the "intimadator" what he deserved. This is classic. Too bad Terry Labonte never paid him back for the cheap shot he gave him at Bristol.

  • @WMRRFAN6573 Rubbin's racing asshole, even dale knew that.

  • @KellarJ Go fuck yourself

  • Earnhardt got moved by a drug addict

  • Buddy Baker hit the nail on the head: Earnhardt did it many times and got his own move against him. What you dish out, you better be able to take it.

  • my dad always told me, "U gotta take what u give." Thats why earnhardt will never be tha best in my opinion, he spins my favorite driver terry labonte out at bristol thinks nothing of it, then jeremy makes one of the best moves ive seen and barely taps him and poor ol earnhardt's upset, he deserves a towel to wipe his tears

  • the cars looked so much better back then.

  • Man, can Earnhardt even drive?

  • @RichieWilliams97 hmmm I guess winning 7 championships means u cant drive huh?

  • @Mr420woo lol, guess not.

  • classic-Dale got a taste of his own medicine!!!

  • Crybaby Earnhardt.

  • Eranhardt got some of his own Medicine

  • 0:55 "Listen to this shit"

  • @Senninha70 lol he actually said shift.

  • its funny how the only guy to do this to dale for a win is a meth head. just imagine how good he would be if he was clean

  • @pooploops234 he didnt do meth... nascar just was tryin to move him out to make room for younger guys.... one court that they went to for that case... found mayfield not guilty... nascar never went to that court again...

  • @BottleRocket13 that is true...

  • @Kyeti151 thank you lol

  • @BottleRocket13 That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The system's cut and dry. He used meth.

  • @RichieWilliams97 man it may sound stupid but its 100% true so if you wanna argue against facts you go ahead. youll lose but who cares its your loss n00b

  • @BottleRocket13 How is it 100% true. Show me how you know these facts. The last I new, he failed the drug test. Like I said, the drug test is cut and dry. What you're talking about is a weird conspiracy. Conspiracies are not facts, dude.

  • @RichieWilliams97 All im saying is that Nascar went to a court and they ruled Jeremy Mayfield not guilty. Then, Nascar never went to that court again. Its old news dude Mayfield got screwed.

  • LOL, that was a classic! "Just wanted to rattle his cage a bit"...just like Dale did to Terry Labonte at Bristol, hehe. Ahh, the good old days of NASCAR.

  • i was there!!!

  • I hated Earnhardt for shoving others out of the way...which made this race so much cooler because he got some of his own medicine.

  • I remember thinking how Mayfield had such a promising career ahead of him.

  • OF doing drugs

  • I think you should change your comments on top, there is only 3 turns and that bump happens in turn 3

  • I remember that this race was ran on a Monday while I was at work, we had it on TNN in our lobby and I kept running back and forth while in between servicing cars. I went in there and seen it was off, also noticing that my boss was fuming man. He was a huge Earnhardt fan. LOL. I laughed so hard.

  • ricky rudd one of the best shifters. That's why he was so good at Pocono. It's all bout timing and knowing where to do it on the racetrack.

  • haha earnhardt got a taste of his own medicine!

  • want to raddle his cage

  • Hey! These cars actually have an aerodynamic resemblance to Chevy Monte Carlos, Ford Tauruses, and Pontiac Grands Prix! AKA: STOCK CAR RACING!!!

I miss shifting at Pocono. Except when Ryan Newman used 3rd gear all day in 2002. That sounded SO cool!

  • i wish i could find that interview after the race when Ryan and his team did that....I LOVED and LOL'ed at the smile at his face when Bergren asked how in the hell did he run that how track in 3rd gear and NOT blow that engine.

  • hahahahaha, Best nascar moment ever! this is why mayfield became one of my fav drivers in nascar because he done what dale done all the time, He was the *tony stewert* of nascar all his career. As far as I am concerned Dale Sr sucks and always will the wrecking bastard.

  • hes dead u tard u act like he is still racing

  • Best Thing That Jeremey Mayfield Ever Said At 4:11-4:12!!!!!

  • lol for real there is only 3 turnsat pocono you right amburnett

  • wasn't this race rained out and run on a Monday?

  • 0:49 listen to this shit?

  • shift...not shit...he laughed after ricky shifted

  • @badassszr2 i didnt hear ne thing

  • @badassszr2 oh shit nvm

  • There is no "Turn 4" at the Pocono Raceway...

  • Ya live by the sword, you die by the sword. As big of an Earnhardt fan as I am, i admit i hated watching that lol. I will always be a fan of Earnhardt Sr, just like i will always be a fan of Mayfield. Rubbin's Racin, give it all you got to win a race.

  • @ACDCFan38 literally for Dale... unfortunately.

  • no dale did that and they just wrecked not on pourpose dumb ass

  • @BillyRayMileyfan44 i would rather see dale back on the track doin wat he did than that jackass kyle fuckin busch. thats just how dale wwas if u was in his way he got u out of his way. dont talk about some1 whos dead jackass. jeremy and dale sr never did get along.

  • @BillyRayMileyfan44 oh i almost forgot atleast dale was never rejected from nascar for drugs so dont defend a drugie unless u r 1. NASCAR is no place for drugs ur in a 3200 pound race car that hits 200+ so u dont need 2 be on drugs.

  • @BillyRayMileyfan44 Can't agree more. Earnhardt did it to everyone. Then he is mad about it. I know he was a strong competitor, but if you have to take people out to win it's distasteful.

  • @Stags80 earnhardt didnt crash people to win. the whole bristol thing with labonte is over played. labonte tried to wreck him first and dale gave him a little shove. and the earnhardt vs waltrip wreck on the last lap. even waltrip admits trying to crash earnhardt to take the lead do earnhardt payed him back. basically all of earnhardt wins came under domination not wrecking what so ever

  • @BillyRayMileyfan44 thats being a fan dumbass, if im a kevin harvick fan and he knocks someone out of the way to win im going to be happy, but im not gonna be happy if someone does it to him, thats being a fan

  • Haha, fuck Earnhardt! He WRECKED Terry Labonte at Bristol, no big deal. Mayfield just got him loose and allowed him a top five finish, and he has to give him the finger. What a bitch! Glad his whiney no good ass is GONE! Fuck you Earnhardt fans!

  • haha love it, he spins everyone for the win, a guy bumps him and now we cant like him, some earnhardt fans just suck

  • Haha Dale was giving him the finger. Man do i miss him! The only one close to him is Kyle Busch and i freakin hate him with a passion. NASCAR NEEDS A BAD GUY.......THAT PEOPLE LIKE

  • Sucks that he does meth he really was a good racer when he had a good ride.

  • I remember this race. Had that been today, both cars would have wrecked cause don't hardly any of them know how to drive anymore. Then they'd blame each other even when one person was solely responsible.

  • Classic finish! Even upset, in retrospect, Earnhardt probably could appreciate that move/ touch. Just enough to loosen him up, but not enough to put him into the wall. That was textbook Earnhardt, and HE was the best at it. He probably called up Jeremy later and said, "man, that was a sweet move- YOU ASSHOLE!" Lol.

  • I loved this race

  • did someone say shit

  • lol

    I heard it

    "Listen to this shit"

    Oh well..he meant "shift"

  • notice how earnhardt took it like a man instead of trying to pick a fight with mayfield wearing a helmet and hans.

  • Meth Head !!!!

  • finger, not finget

  • haha, at 4:17 Earnhardt gave him the finget

  • I laugh at this every time I watch it.

  • For those of you talking crap about Jeremy and the meth deal. Wait till some real evidence comes out. Sure, NASCAR ran 2 tests that came back positive, while Mayfield had an independent lab do one and it was negative. There are still some unanswered questions around the entire situation.

  • So...lol hold on.

He had a meth lab, took 2 tests and they both came back positive...what else could you want?

He's a meth head. Personally, I find it kind of funny. I mean, it reminds me of when Shane Hmeil smoked weed and then went behind the wheel.

I'm just imagining Mayfield smoking Meth and then driving LOL. I wonder what he'd see...

  • Maybe you should open your eyes and look at the other side of the story. Mayfield has had his attorneys confirm he has taken at least 15 drug tests since NASCAR said he tested positive yet all of them have come back negative. Why will NASCAR not send his samples to a different lab, or test his B sample? Why is it, NASCAR is the only ones saying he tested positive?

Don't just look at one side of the story. Also, nobody said he had a meth lab, not sure where you got that from

  • Bring back F.A.D.E.

Saw #3 do that to pretty much everyone else for years. That time he got some of his own medicine. Real classy that "you're number 1" salute on the cool down lap. Things would have been different had Kulwicki and Allison not been killed.

  • If Kulwicki and Allison didn't die then there would have been a good chance that Dale wouldn't have won the championships in 93 and 94. Davey would probably still be racing today and who knows what would be different. Gordon might not have 4 championships and Jimmy might not be a 3 time back to back champion either but I guess we will never know. BTW the chase format is stupid it all depends on luck now instead of consistancy. I want the old points system back not this chase to the cup bullshit.

  • Are you insane? Davey and Kulwicki ran way too poorly to compete for the '93 title before they died. If anything, Earnhardt should've won in '01-'03 based on his 2000 performance. Point is, it's all hypothetical.

  • What the fuck are you talking about? Kulwicki only ran 5 races in '93 and was 9th in points before he died and Allison only ran 16 races and was 5th in points before he died so how were they running way too poorly? And if you are gonna compare their performance the year before they died kulwicki won the '92 championship and Allison finished 3rd in points. So according to your logic they had just as good of chance to win in '93-'94 as dale would of in '01-'03. But like I said we will never know.

  • How the fuck would they have beat him if they were behind him in points when they died? you fucking idiot. And no, Earnhardt should've won because he averaged or scored more points in '00 than the '01-'03 cup champions. The same can't be said about Allen and Davey's '92 performances, so don't confuse "my logic" for your own stupidity.

  • wow ok follow me here Kulwicki only ran 5 races and the points were still pretty close so he had plenty of time to pass earnhardt in the points. Yeah It's would have been very hard for Allison to pass him up in pionts but it was possible. All they would have to do to pass him up in points would be to finish a few positions ahead of him which would have been very easy for Kulwicki to do idiot.

  • But since he wasn't ahead, nor averaged more points the year before, you have no reason AT ALL to think he had a "good chance" to beat Earnhardt, you dumb motherfucker.

  • How does the fact that Earnhardt had more points in '00 than the champions from '01-'03 make him anymore likely to win the championship? Lots of things change from year to year. Your statement doesn't make any more sense than mine dipshit!!

  • Since there's no reason to think he'd have done any worse then than he did in '00. Just because the speck of shit in your head can't equate winning the championship to scoring the most points doesn't mean I should keep repeating answers that you're too dumb to ever hope of grasping. Fuck, I don't know what made you so stupid, but it really worked.

  • Your just too stupid to understand what i'm saying. Yes the points drivers get in a season has to deal with skill but alot of it has to deal with luck too. You don't know how many accidents he would of been in or what kind of mecanical problems he could of had therefore you can't say he would of won a champuionship based on points from one season. Now I'm done with you. Your just to full of yourself to admit that what I am saying is right and you are wrong.

  • There's no reason to just assume that would've happened. Earnhardt rarely crashed throughout his whole career and for the record, Harvick had only 1 DNF from Engine failure the entire '01 season. It's not dubious to think with Earnhardt's expertise and prior year success that a championship was likely. You're just a stubborn idiot who don't drop his Earnhardt grudge long enough to admit how good his chance was.

  • Comment removed

  • Also did Earnhardt win the '00 championship? NO Bobby Labonte did, so how can you say Earnhardt should of won the '01-'03 championships based on points when Labonte had more points than Dale did in '00? Doesn't make much sense does it? Going by your "logic" Labonte had a better chance to win the championships than Earnhardt did. Anyways you can't say that Earnhardt would of had as many points from '01-'03 that he did in '00 so your point is irrelevant so please just shut the hell up already.

  • No more than you can say Allen and Davey would've somehow defied all odds to beat Earnhardt in 2 straight seasons you moron. Moreover, Earnhardt was better than Labonte, and only underpeformed in '97-'99 cuz he drove injured from Talladega and his shoulder bursitis that was operated in '00- the same year he rebounds to finish 2nd in points. That and another chance IMO is enough evidence to think the 7-time champ would've out contended everyone in at least one of the next 3 seasons.

  • I never said that they would I just said that they could moron. And I never said that he couldn't win a championship from '01-'03 I just said you can't say that based off of points fucker!

  • wow, a 7 time champ gets booted out of the way by a meth addict.

  • he said listen to this shift

  • 0:53

    "Listen to this shit."

    RIP Dale Earnhardt.

  • I miss Buck Baker as a commentator. "you live by the sword you die by the sword" lol

  • No kidding....Baker was hilarious. My favorite announcer. There used to be a website that had a great collection of some of the whacked out things that he would say.

  • Is it still up?

    If so what is it?

  • well, Mayfeild really fucked his career up with drugs

  • Ford 1-2-3... ahh, I miss those days.

Nothing wrong with what Mayfield did there. Any Earnhardt fans (or any fans of anyone, period) who wanna say #3 wouldn't have done the exact same thing is kidding themselves.

"When you live by the sword, you die by the sword." Way to sum it up, Buddy.

  • HELL YEA FIRST ON RACE DAY!!! dales jarretts my faveorite

  • "Ford 1-2-3... ahh, I miss those days." we'll see when the new engine comes out but the old one is still running strong.I also heard the new chevy ro7 heads as well as the LS1 heads were designed by Robert Yates anybody know if that's true?.

and yes earnhardt would of done the same thing as he always bumped people out of the way.

  • Thats almost as sweet as Kyle Busch doing the same thing to his douchebag son at Richmond last year. I love it

  • bullshit. thats not even as sweet as kyle douce in the wall at daytona and chicagoland

  • And another thing; what gives you the right to pick on people because of their stupid comments anyway. You must have been one hell of a bully when you were in high school.

  • Jeremy Mayfield was a great driver, its just he never convinced himself that he was the number 2 driver on every team he was on, he just never was that great a teammate and now he's trying to go it alone.

  • well he took drugs, earnhardt, rip

  • Earnhardt Sr was tough and yeah you had to be tough back. That's why he respected Gordon because Gordon was actually able to take the abuse LOL! And Mayfield just gave him a little tap and didn't wreck him so its all good.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's always cool to look back on great finishes like this one. The only way it could have been better was the Earnhardt post race interview was included.

  • I miss Buddy Baker commentating...

  • him and ned jarrett

  • notice at 4:20 Earnhardt shoots him the bird, lol... r.i.p. #3
