  • Bikram yoga is amazing, i recomoned it for overweight ppl, athletes with injuires, toning ur muscles, flexibilty, fat loss!!!!! This will change ur life as it helps ur skin, ur blood system and evrything ur health will e amazing, do it 4 times a week if not everyday!!!

  • She describes it as "moany" ... really? ( 0:50 ) ; having to create false imagery like that just pisses me off.

  • Stretching in a hot environment is quite dangerous, as you can easily overstretch. So I wouldn't recomment that

  • @fresswolf I suppose it depends on the person doing the yoga.I havent run into that problem. And I havent run into any individuals that have had the issue of overstretching. I like it myself and I would definitely recommend it.

  • BIKRAM YOGA works, I tried other yoga`s but not really successful, Bikram changed all that, it changed my life and will change yours, give it a go.

  • 'People in London don't sweat enough.' Really? This woman has obviously never been on a tube in the rush hour. Think the guys who go have an advantage though - plenty of eye candy for them. But not sure I want to be so close to so many old men with beer guts hanging everywhere. Eugh.

  • Come on ! Most people dehydrate themselves on a night of drinking ! Just look at people who do yoga, they all are healthy and optimistic. Gotta love the lifestyle man.

  • i'm scared i would get too hot and faint..

  • @NolavAvaloN After the first session you start to get used to the heat quite quickly. The key thing is staying in the room for the full 90 minutes, even if that means sitting down for 85 of those 90 minutes ;)

  • its not going to be ffective for weight loss but stress relief yes and plenty of dopamine release from watching those hot women.

  • @scarred10 It is actually quite effective for weightloss - many of the secondary affects also affect body mass through regulation of appetite, encouraging you to hydrate well, etc.

  • @scarred10 Not true. I took a semester of Bikram Yoga last year at my university. I only had it twice a week and I didn't really change much else in my lifestyle (eating, other exercise) but I lost about one pound a week from it.

  • @LorcRezKaze66 No i am doing it at a new Birkam Studio in Sydney's Inner west

  • Next month i am doing a 30 day challenege and am going to document it on youtube! cant wiat!

  • any advice for eagle pose...im 5'11 188, muscular. i'm having trouble wraping foot around ankle. need help.

  • Comment removed

  • @AxePittbull the only thing to do is keep trying. Point your foot in the direction where you want it to go and it will eventually go there. I've been practicing for over a year and it's only now that my left foot can wrap around....barely. Still can't do it on the right but, they say BIkram is a game of millimeters. Keep practicing.

  • will they get mad if i don't do all the postures

  • @illjustleavethen no,in yoga you do as much as you can.you should stop when you feel pain.its to be expected if your not used to doing it,but if you keep it up your body will adapt.

  • does anyone have any tips for staying in the room. I always walk out 1 time! i'm so mad at myself! been doin Bikram for 1.5 months everyday. i want to stay in the room.

  • @AxePittbull just lay there and and let your mind and soul relax. I was told my first day that the most important thing is just to stay in the room the whole 90 minutes, don't need to do all the postures.

  • @TheHersey - I just finished, took ur advice, and stayed in the room! thank u!!!!

  • Wow! They're literally dripping in sweat..... Well I hope I have fun doing this tomorrow!

  • I wonder how that place smells?! :-/

  • @crazzyally it actually doesn't smell bad at all, even though everyone is sweating.

  • @inko9nito Thats good to know... One of my friend has opened a Bikram Yoga Studio in Dubai... I was thinking to join...

  • @crazzyally do you know the name of your friends yoga studio? I've heard there is a new one opening??

  • @crazzyally You should, it's like nothing else! I only started about a week ago, but I've been going every day and loving it :)

  • I love it.....and Im gonna get more people involved!!! See you all on JUNE 5

    Namaste,

    GP :)

  • been doing bikram yoga with michele since 1999 and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to make there body strong and the mind calm.

  • mmm. not so sure about what the lady says at 3:50 ... very interactive??? Ppl hardly talk to each other especially in Old Street....

  • Word to the wise: watch in 240p

  • Please Dont use Hi def cameras with average people again.

  • @RealMenRockPink1 hahahahaa

  • I'm hopefully going to start this next week, so excited!

  • i'm joining in the summer any advice? what to bring what to do before the class etc.

My parents look exausted after the class

  • I've practiced Bikram for 3 years in LA and Chicago, and just moved to London. I tried the studio at Canary Wharf, and it wasn't just hot enough. I hardly even broke a sweat. Can anybody who has practiced at BY city ( London), tell me if they keep the temperature and humidity high enough?

  • @fleur257

try the Old Street studio in Vestry St. If you go there after the first class (from 6pm onwards) it should be fine.

  • Bikram teacher are very arrogant and mean.. unprofessional. If you search little bit about people's review, you will find.

  • I actually would love to try this out, but I have circulatory problems and I feel dizzy very fast, so is this hot air not good for me? Can you recommend it for teenagers, too?

  • @guschdel123 I tend to get dizzy easily as well but I did the bikram and it did not bother me to badly whenever I would feel a bit light headed I would just stand at the back of my mat, kneel, or go into dead man pose, before you go in though bring up the concern with the yogi and they can tell you what is appropriate for you to do when you feel light headed in that particular studio. =) I hope you try it and love it.

  • @diamond710 Okay,I hope I can find a studio in my city because I live in germany and I think there are not as many studios here as in the USA! Thanks a lot :)

  • @guschdel123 hot yoga is for all agess. it actually help with alot of things.

  • i just had my first bikram yoga class today and it was hard but i could do it!! but it was very sweaty!

  • I did my first Bikram class a day ago. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and it was a challenge just to stay in the room and breathe but I got through about six of the poses before falling in a heap. I'm going back this week and sticking with it :)

  • I just started practicing Bikram two weeks ago, my background is long distance running and I have never felt so good after a run as I do after Bikram. Its a fantastic workout for the body and the mind. I have found in only two weeks an improvement in both my flexibility, muscle tone and strength, and my mental strength.

Yes its very hard, and sometimes you want to just walk out. But thats part of the practice, letting go and breathing through it.

I go everyday, and I love it.

  • they really bathed on their sweats. this is great!

  • o also they don't explain things well at all and no demonstrator to follow

  • it's ok it will kick start your body to get back in shape. i notice they don't have the tacky, stinky carpets in london, they do in NY, also horrid flourescent lights so when they go on about how healthy it is you can't help but laugh. i'll take hot yoga from somewhere more pleasant after my 1 st month Bikram yoga is really disrespectful to its students. he must be real cheap too you pay 4 water!

  • Great video make me wish i was there doing it.

  • it seems like it is extremely tiring....if I started working out in 40 degrees,I'd faint in the 5th minute. My blood pressure would be really up high.I dont know how people can workout in blistering hot conditions....

  • @wannaknowit depends on what kind of shape you're in, your energy levels that day etc. The heat is something you get used to after a few classes, it's certainly hot but hardly "blistering". Anyway as they say, you don't know until you try :)

  • @gajones76

Yes I guess you are right,I never tried it..are you a practicioner of this type of yoga?Or maybe you are teaching it?

  • This makes me incredibly excited to start Bikram - I would LOVE to right this very moment and every other moment but will have to wait til the new year.

    Cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I go almost everyday, and I LOVE it. There is no better work out. You see the progress very soon and that is what is the best about it. I feel like I look better every day when I look at myself in the mirror in the studio. BTW very nice little movie. I am coming to London in December so I hope I will be able to come to your class.

  • I miss class so much!

  • I bet there's 1 guy who just came for the view

  • The comment about this yoga not being for overweight people is totally incorrect.

I've been doing Bikram yoga for quite awhile and there are ALL shapes and sizes in the classes. Some people look like contortionists and some can't touch their toes. Everyone works to the best of their ability with no judgement. That's why yoga is called a "practice".

  • this is not a yoga class for overweight people! i love the bikram yoga it´s a total clense.

  • Yoga is not standing on your head or stopping your breath or dancing naked like retard monkeys in a heated room. Fools Indeed.

  • I am very physically fit but have poor flexibility, always have. I want to try this because I love yoga and this looks like a great workout but I am still just so NOT flexible! Do people who cant touch their head to their knees and such do this too?

Also, does the room stink of perspiration?

  • @OCgirliechick Improved flexibility is supposed to be a benefit of yoga training, so just go for it and see if it helps.

  • @OCgirliechick - Yes people "who cant (sic) touch their head to their knees" do this. Those who are flexible have been doing it for a few months. The room does stink of perspiration when you first enter, but not while the class is on as there are ceiling fans and extractors going all the time together with the heat being pumped in.

I did my first 2 classes this week and it's the best exercise I've EVER done. It works the whole body and your heart rate gets higher than if you're running.

  • @Enerjee, thank you for answering my questions. For the record I have been doing yoga for a very long time I'm thin and in good shape. I still cant touch my head to my knees. Some people just cant.

  • @Enerjee Errr you obviously havent been running hard enough! Try doing some hill sprints, you will be exhausted 10 x more than doing bikram.

  • Bikram yoga is the best exercise I've ever done. I like it alot. Even though I am a little overweight.

  • @julietaruss33 - yeah, I'd say it's the best exercise I've ever done too. It's 90 minutes exercise and you can keep it going because there's the instructor keeping you motivated through the microphone throughout. It's also low impact so it minimises or even eliminates joint damage. Heart rate increases to 130 bpm.

  • omg is that real sweat?? Shitt!!!

Even when i run for a couple of miles i dont sweat like that

  • I would love to try this but I sweat about 8x as much as a normal person, dont if these people are sweating this much! I might die lol

  • i want to try this. chec kout my yoga videos everyone

  • I just went to my first Bikram class. I wanted to cry and puke all at the same time.. SOOOO intense!! I am going back tomorrow!!! Namaste...

  • I think I would get to sweaty. It is intense. I m intimidated but my girlfeiend at work says I shoudl try it. I hope you can bring gatorade.

  • i am over weight and just starting Bikram. I thought i was not going to be able to do it. Although the first days i felt like passing out it soon felt easy. it is for everyone its amazing

  • @glendabruin57 Ya i literally just started today. It was tough and the sweating was intense but I feel so fantastic and energetic

  • Yep it's a good thing!

  • I want to attend my local class, but I'm really self conscious. I'm gonna make the effort though, cos I'm bloody awful to be around at the moment lol!

  • i really want to go to a class but i'm so nervous i normally do yoga at home, i just turn the heat up lol

  • Went for the first time last week.......KMFA! But it is GREAT!!!!!

  • @ 4:24 the lady said she lost a stone in a half. What is that in terms of pounds lost?

  • @bethal1998 I believe a stone is 14 pounds. So, a stone and a half would be 21 pounds.

  • @bethal1998 - Yeah, 1stone is 14lbs making 1 and a half stones 21lbs.

In those awful kilos that the Europeans use as a result of the French Revolution it's 6.39kgs so 1 and a half stones is 9.55kgs.

  • Lovely video

  • I went to my first class last week and said to my self that I am going to go once a month, but now I think im going to go again tomorrow! I loved it!

  • @ChainedIllusion

Hey, do you think a fifteen year old could go? Or is it too grueling. I want to do this before my gym workout and before football spring training in May.

  • I'm 14 and I am going to attend my first Hot Yoga class tomorrow. I'm not sure if Hot Yoga is the same as Bikram Yoga, or if there's any variation, but I think the temperature and humidity of the room should be the same. For teenagers, Hot Yoga could be a concern if sweat pores are not fully developed, as is sometimes the case in a growing body. If your yoga studio offers Reduced Heat classes, you should try that first. If not, take your chances, but consult a professional Yoga instructor first.

  • Yeah, im 15 and i do it every day, but i would really think it depends on the person. Its really really really hard, and it takes a lot of will power and concentration. They tell you , the first time you go, that it is your first goal to stay in the room for the full 90 minutes. I have only had to leave once and thats just because i wasnt feeling well anyways. I would really really recommend this.. i know this is like 4 months late, but if you haven't done it, do it for sure hope this helps :)

  • gutted there is no Bikram in hong kong no classes for a year :-(

  • what the fuck am i getting myself into

  • @Gazzz87 I am starting to think the same thing. But at the same time I am soooooo excited to go to my first class

  • Fantastic, & definitely useful & health promoting for people in London!

  • Great video, an inspiration to continue my practice faithfully.....

  • Great video. Thank you.

  • I've just had my first class in Chiswick and looking forward to going again:)
