  • The double slit experiment was a presentation that proved both the undeterministic properties of quantum mechanics and mainly wave particle duality. The part about the observer however is not as magical as it may seem.. it is only a byproduct of the fact that information is lost in the measuring or "observing" process. Talk about quantum physics being our connection to God and so forth is probably farfetched but strange things do happen in science.

  • wave particle duality qed. lol problem solved

  • mind. blown.

  • mind bbllloooooowwwwww

  • I JUST GOT COMPLETED MIND FUCKED.

BUT I FEEL SO GOOD RIGHT NOW FOR SOME REASON! :D :D :D

  • there's no way if you consider time to be linear. i think past present future are simultaneous. what would happen if you waited days or weeks before each shot? would you still get the interference pattern?

  • Can this be done with anything other than electrons?

  • @depth386 Yes, it is called "The Secret". What you think about happens. It happens so "easily" at the atomic level because you are not trying to change/force something drastic. Larger changes require more time/thought.

  • @ironXnub What? who the fuck are you talkin to boy, go waste some else's time.

  • How about all of you idiots take some legitimate Physics classes before blurting out inaccurate information??

  • You guys seem smart, so maybe you can help me understand why it is ok to set an observation device on one slit, but not the other? If these are waves, wouldn't the device obstruct one side, throwing off the timing each side passes through the slit, which would in turn turn the double slit experiment into two one slit experiments yielding the result that they got? (the one slit wave experiment resulted in one solid line). Please help!

  • @Wantan11 this is a late reply but I'm 14 and can give you a definition of life, a flow of electrons stimulating synapses in the central nervous system and grey matter of the brain. What's not understood is the concept of a consciousness

  • @Austin25254 actually radiation is an emitted frequency spectrum - or so I believe - of which certain elements emitt

  • @Timbubu Yes

  • Quantum Physics Proves God Exists.

  • @17jun1989

    No.

  • @17jun1989 dafaq kind of drugs are you on???

  • I'm not religious at all, but isn't the simplest explanation that we observe our universe and our universe observes us back?

  • can i ttry this with a crookes tube?

  • Biggest Mind Fuck.

  • I don't want to talk to a scientist, y'all mother fuckers lyin, and gettin me pissed

  • @iRouRoui so who're you?

  • @SuperMaexle123 what ?

  • @iRouRoui If we are scientists (or persons who "believe" (lol?) in science), what are you calling yourself?

  • @SuperMaexle123 dude calm down, it's a quote from the "Insane clown posse".

  • @iRouRoui uh oh, so me's the fool. I'm sorry :D

  • what the hell is this ?

  • don't you just HATE it when someone comes into a physics video and talk about god.....

i'm not doubting god's existence...but no need to throw it in peoples faces...

  • I am an 11th grader, just started basic physics, this shit is mind boggling.

  • Considering how to observe 1 electron without changing the behavior of it! When you observe it, you already changed its behavior. that is the reason!

Modern physics only applies to macro world rather the micro world.

  • Observing changed the way electrons behave...

    Psionics?

  • Has anyone heard of the Heisenberg uncertainty. Mathematically if the location of the electron is unknown it could be everywhere it is possible for it to be.

When you place a sensor the location of the electron is known so it wouldn't make sense for it to be in more than one place.

I apologize if this doesn't make sense I don't know much about this I'm 14

  • There should be a rule on youtube that any retard that brings up a magic man (god) up in a conversation about SCIENCE that they should be blocked for a week. I get so tired of these fucking advertisers constantly broadcasting their stupid 24/7. Don't you religi-imbeciles have anything else to watch? SHUT YOUR FACE.

  • the best physics vid i saw

  • What the fuck did i watch

  • This was an amazing video but it didn't describe what is entailed in "observing" which is done necessarily through an interaction between particles so of course it's behavior changed, something interacted with it. As an introduction to quantum physics this distinction has to be made or we default to a newtonian thought structure.

  • @msingletary1984 I believe it means any interaction with a system. When the electron runs from the emitter to the detector, it does not interact in any way with our system, therefore it behaves as a wave. It is my belief that multiple universes can exist because two isolated systems will not have measured one another, thus having different realities.

  • fuck!

  • ಠ_ಠ

  • THIS IS MIND-BLOWING.

  • but... i... he... wha... the... what the hell did i just watch? and why di i feel i will be searching jigh and low for this video next week?

  • it's actually very simple when you think about it. all matter is basically energy in wave packets. because we are observing them we see them as such. however, once we take our eyes off, they become a flow of energy waves. the frequencies in which we see things, changes the flowing energy into "particles" because we automatically want to measure them. think of water flowing in the ocean, we try to observe it and it forms icebergs for us to measure. data and reality are two different things.

  • If the measuring device is working, but for some reason no one is collecting the data, the wave function does not collapse and you get an interference pattern. It would be like turning on a tape recorder, but not putting in a tape. Your intent collapses the wave function.

  • What if the matter we can't see, does turn into waves? Perhaps we create our own existence, and shape our own matter and it stays like that, but once we can't see it, it all goes back to being waves. Since we see the marbles we have already determined that they're marbles and that is what we must do. But the matter we can't see isn't assigned rules like that because it's not even visible, it's just matter. This is probably retarded.

  • All well and good. But just for the record an electron is very much not like a marble.

  • look i dont know shit about this but

    1. if u shoot 1, shoouldnt it leave a fading pattern in the wave??

2.maybe im taking it to literally but, have you tried viewing it from other angles??. or moving the camera to see wheres the hot spot??. maybe the cameras proximity has something to do with it.

  • This video makes it appear that observing something is a passive action, which it is not. For example, to see something, you need to apply light on it. It doesn't matter much if the object you are observing is a car, but if it is a sub-atomic particle, it makes all difference in the world. Heiselberg proved that you can figure out the exact position of a particle, but not where it's going OR exactly where it's going but then you have no idea where it is, or anything inbetween. But NEVER both.

  • @AngeCord and you assume that you need light to observe something. which is also incorrect

  • @AngeCord

You are correct regarding Heiselberg's particle position/direction issue, except it is nothing to do with the observer's interference.

    regards.

  • @AngeCord

You are correct regarding Heiselberg's particle position/direction issue, except it is nothing to do with the observer's interference.

    regards.

  • ok this might not have anythingggggg to do with this subject, and may make me sound crazy LOL, but I swear I once owned a toaster that would only burn my toast when I left the kitchen. If I stayed in the kitchen and stood near it I would get perfect toast every time... this just made me think of that lol.

  • One of the most excellent run throughs of the double slit experiment I ever saw.

  • BALLS!!!!

  • Waves are like algorithms it would seem.. As for the electrons they are undefined until you watch them, then they are now defined and you can know predict them accurately and accordingly maybe... It would seem that by observing the electron particle you now gave it a definition and meaning for its existence...

  • young's double slit experiment like you've never seen before

    watch?v=yNeHYhvQXic

  • "JESUS CHRIST" In Colossians chapter 1v15 it says; "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

  • When you shoot matter, you're also creating radiation. It's possible that the wave pattern comes from that... Shooting ONE unit of matter per time will still create radiation (it all fits)... The rest, it's a mistery. Perhaps whatever they used to observe, somehow, canceled the spread of radiation by ways yet unknown to science.

  • @humbertojimmy hahaha. it is difficult to take your assumptions seriously when you cannot spell "mystery". lol

  • @danboy9787 It's normal. My primary language is Portuguese, so, yes, sometimes a write English with a few mistakes. How much of Portuguese can you write, though, Danboy9787?

  • @humbertojimmy "mystery"

  • @humbertojimmy not rly, by observing something u shine light upon it, and light is waves, hence it disturb the wave-like fenomena of the matter. I suggest u read the Heisenberg uncertainity principle.

  • @humbertojimmy wouldn't the heavy lead through which the matter is being shot deflect this radiation? I'm assuming the wave pattern comes from the fact that the matter is behaving as waves and particle at the same time (i.e. quantum theory)

  • @humbertojimmy Photoelectric effect ?

  • @xtremesubs Could be an explanation. There's energy in photoelectrons. Nobody trully knows how it could change the final readings of the experiment.

  • @humbertojimmy radiation is just a name for any matter that travels at high velocities, therefore radiation is matter. Everything in the universe including fields and photons come in discrete quantities. Also they are only shooting and measuring electrons, not any other kind of matter.

  • Ziggy says you have to understand this before you can leap.

  • @digog297297 It's new age crap that tries to use quantum theory it doesn't understand.

  • Two girls = double slit theory (GET IT) xD

  • I meant to write the scripture is Colossians. I misspelled it in my first post. Excuse me, I'm not the best typest!

  • @MsAquaLady1 Did God create Michael Bolton ? He really hates us ,doesn`t He?

  • The electron has purpose AND intent! But who's intent? God's! The Bible says He is in all and through all! Read this from the Bible Clossians 1:16-17 16For in him all things

were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible

and invisible, whether thrones or powers or

rulers or authorities; all things have been created

through him and for him. 17He is before all

things, and in him all things hold together.

  • @sayroni

"as a Quantum Physics student,i can tell you that this has nothing to do with god."

Very true. But once uneducated YouTube self taught cretins start talking about New Age quantum mysticism or how quantum mechanics "proves" God, any chance for a normal conversation is ruined by insane bastardisations of what quantum mechanics actually is. I worked a bit of outreach once (I also study physics), and it was people arguing about the interpretations of the physics for their insanities.

  • Comment removed

  • @sayroni

I disagree, the term observation is most unfortunate. What Heisenberg's uncertainty principle really implies is that any measurement (again, a poor word choice) results in the collapse of the wave state. This does not require an observer with consciousness, only that the particle in question have some action done to it to collapse the state. In other words, a collection of atoms interacting with one another independent of observation collapses the wave state, but independently not.

  • @mastersausagemaker i have no idea how it gets from being an interference patern to just 2 bands. But the collapsing of the wave function occurs, cuz its a wave function describes odds. Once you check where it is, there is a 100% chance that its there. am i right?

  • @syruss877

At any moment, the particle can be described by an innumerable amount of permutations of possible eignenstates, thus the wavefunction does describe the probability distribution of these states.

To observe the particles, an action upon them must be taken. This collapses its wavestate since now it must occupy one state (also, see quantum decoherence). The uncertainty principle does state, however, that while on property may be known, the other cannot be known (eg, momentum or position).

  • @mastersausagemaker I also imagine the measurement of an elektron with some srt of E or B field. Is this form of measurement what distorts the wave capabilities of an elektron? and if so, does a different form of measurement maybe not distort the wave function? and result in a interference patern even when measuring. Though i'm familiar with heisenbergs uncertainty relation, do you really need to know the momentum of the elektron for this experiment?

  • @syruss877

What do you mean by distorting an electron?

You may be interested to read more about Heisenberg's thought experiment entitled 'Heisenberg's microscope'. It goes into greater detail about some important aspects here.

No, any measurement collapses the wave function since a measurement is taken on the particle metric and the complementary property states that it must be wave or particle, but not both

Actually, this experiment may be interpreted entirely though optics, buth then no QM

  • @sayroni Actually, modern experiments (so called "delayed choice" experiments) show that it is the awareness or being conscious of the results that cause the collapse. That can happen long after the actual measurements.

  • @MsAquaLady1 u suck, go die in a hole...

  • Ok. Now I am really freaked out.

  • This would seem to argue against there being an all knowing intelligence or "god" because such an intelligence would also be all observing, and therefore would always be collapsing the wave function.

  • @Theburrowingid A potential god has not obey logic, for he is god ( remember trinity) . lol

  • @Bonzenpunk

I've often noted that Christians often, when pressed by evidence or argument, inevitably revert to defining God as tautological and paradoxical. How does one combat such a priori nonsense? By educating their kids and waiting for the old believers who will not change their minds to die out so a paradigm shift may occur.

  • @Theburrowingid Obviously it's an easy, bullshit, tautological argument, but a theistic god defined as transcending space and time, etc. would also transcend the laws of physics.

  • @Theburrowingid No problem! He is before all

things, and in him all things hold together.since he is already in all things He,(God) wouldn't collaps the wave function.

  • @Theburrowingid That makes no sense at all. Why would you assume God didn't know or intend for it to work that way :o)

  • @PropheticObserver Why would you assume there is a god? Maybe all things are intelligent, and all things are their own creators, we know humans can create. It makes no sense that there is only one who has the power to create, how would such a thing acquire all that power? Theists love to use god as the easy answer to where we came from. I think the more important question is where did god come from? Don't you think its possible that he was created from your imagination?

  • @YourLoveLetter because nothing has ever been observed that can create something better than itself

  • @wantan11 humans can create things better than themselves. We can create computers that are way smarter, with capabilities we dont have etc. Depends on your definition of "better" though.

  • @YourLoveLetter show me one computer or scientist that can create life...we can do it because someone gave us the ability to do it but we dont know how it works, not a single scientist on earth understands what life is.

  • @wantan11 Robots will be fully conscious by 2030, consciousness is a unique living experience. They will be smart enough to create on their own, understand emotions, and not have all the flaws of the human body. If we created a conscious robot, we would be gods, every country wants to be the first. Nobody gave us abilities lol. Through a very long process of evolution we got lucky. Life is just a reaction to the environment.

  • @YourLoveLetter first of all by the year 2000 we were supposed to be living on the moon and driving flying cars. people have repeatedly failed to predict technology and we will continue too. second a robot is not a human and even the most advanced computers today cant do simple such as: enjoy a movie or show someone affection, or GROW!. Last point if what you said is true, we could make a robot that would make a better robot. its called AI for a reason, its artificial intelligence, it isnt smart

  • @wantan11 lol you are thinking of hollywood predictions, not scientific predictions. There is no logical reason to have flying cars, if we wanted them we could have them. There are self driving cars though, still in development phases, but proven to work in real life on our roads, predicted in 80s. I didnt say a robot was human, it will be better than human. Read "the singularity is near", ray kurzweil is a master at technology predictions, he predicts humans will also become robots.

  • @YourLoveLetter Dont get me wrong, i have no problem with technology, i am in college for computer networking and formerly worked in a computer repair shop. I believe Humans were designed for a purpose and that we have the ability to build things for our needs. even if we were able to build a robot that was stronger faster and smarter than any human, it still took intelligent design to produce that robot and something more intelligent that itself. if you want to reply please private message me

  • @YourLoveLetter Your philosophy suggests -SOMETHING comes from NOTHING and then evolves back into the NOTHINGNESS! That equation 2/1 ratio suggest NOTHINGNESS is the higher power.Which means it is super concsiouness and is concsious of what it's creating under the law of space/time.

lets see you build a robot from NOTHING to prove your theory! All energy has a source. Photons come from the Sun, Raindrops from an ocean. Life comes from life-fact. God is the source of all emanations.

  • @ANDROID697 First of all, what's God?

  • @AznSupaStar14 God is the supreme person. He has feelings, emotions etc. We are part and parcel of His nature. And can have a direct relationship with Him through 'real' yoga. He enjoys His devotees in an exchange of loving service. His body and abode are transendental and so is our consiousness, but due to association with matter(our bodys), we cannot perceive Him through blunt senses. He is in the heart, so the means of hearing/knowing Him is spiritualizing our senses by karma/Bhakti yoga.

  • @ANDROID697 That is enlightening.

  • @ANDROID697 in a universe which is becoming quite apparent as never being created to start with one has to put aside the 'creator' hypothesis once and for all.

  • @vengencefrom1979

Thats because God is infinite consciouness. It's subjective experience. You are still trying to find answers in an objective reality which does not exist.

You cannot exculed consciousness from anything. It's more FUNDAMENTAL than space & time. Stop your speculating it's not a quessing game.

  • @ANDROID697 its not speculation. the big bang is a big farce, there was no creation - ergo there is no creator. god is a misnomer, at best, a telepath messing with your mind.

  • @vengencefrom1979

I see your mind has been meddled with. Goodluck in your fruitless life.

  • @YourLoveLetter

It's impossiple to isolate consciousness!! its not a 'thing' in itself but a quality of the soul. It can't be measured with material experiments in a lab, because science cannot seperate subject-verb-object consciousness from a being. This is a fact, so your laughable bogus claim is flawed. Also Darwins theory is full of speculation, no evidence supports his missing link evolution is a lie. Athiestic science has no where to go but backwards up it own arse!

  • @ANDROID697 We dont have souls, we have brains. Consciousness is awareness of yourself and world around you. Robots will be conscious beings that we create. Theres no such thing as atheistic science, there was only science, and it created atheists. We share similar DNA to chimps. There have been several human species, which specie was created in gods image? You think god came down and kept changing humans over millions of years? Or maybe they adapted to their environments and evolved?

  • @YourLoveLetter The soul & consciounesss are connected in the heart and has over 200emotions. Not the brain, the brain is matter. Matter is dead without spirit! You cannot even create a single concious blade of grass in a lab from nothing, you have to use chemicals already created by a higher living being(God).God is in every atom of nature. He governs the laws, 'natural selection' demands an original selector. He is also a person and not a monkey. Robots will never know what love is. You fool!!

  • I wish my world worked on such incredibly FREAKING OBSCURE rules and regulations. Its like you can do whatever the hell you want until someone is watching and then you have to make up your mind and act a certain way. Hmmmmmmmm, that sounds familiar actually.

Its like when you divide by zero on a calculator, but instead of giving you the "divide by zero error" it gave you a legitimate answer of "i" or something.

  • The observer is emitting energy beyond Quantum levels, the question shouldn't be about the particle, but the energy that affects the particle.

  • maybe when the electrons hit the barrier with the slits in it the emit a wave length from the back causing the wave pattern. now we have a great first step to perpetual energy.

  • Cool video, wrong ending.

  • @mccuarro it's a part of a movie called "what the bleep do we know? down the rabbit hole" which you can watch on youtube.

  • wow i understand!!! dude hes trying to say the matter around us is a form of intelligence!

  • Great video!. Thanks.

  • If I remember right, this was easily explained on The Big Bang Theory.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox where and how ?

  • @msms47 Pilot episode - Sheldon is talking to Leonard about the double slit experiment. You should be able to easily track down and watch the episode.

  • what an excellent video that breaks down such a crazy-hard-to-understand principle into something that even I could understand :)

  • the hiesenberg uncertainity principle, thats why the results were different, when the "observer" was placed.

  • Everything is Energy, as in E=Mc2 and here maybe you can better understand everything you see, hear, touch, taste and smell is all an illusion & the only things real are US, God and evil...which are all Energy, as well. Type in at... YouTube Energy is Everthing and the vid will come up on it all

  • All senses...what our 5 only known thus far of, as in Sight, Hearing, Touching, Tasting and Smelling...are vibrations of Energy that are, in fact, turned into electrical signals going to your brain that make up everything you see, hear, touch, taste and smell..all inside your head, as it is all inside your head, as you don't SEE through your eyes, as your eyes SEE through you, as likewise you don't hear out your ears, as your ear and eardrum take in the vibrations and turn them into electric

  • *BOOM* oww my brain

  • idk if this is the same thing...but as i understand it...COLORS don't exist. they are waveforms reacting to light, yet they also require a process of analysis such as MY EYES seeing the waveform and sending it to my brain which analyzes it and lets me "see" the color. so, without AN OBSERVER, colors are a potential as well. am i somewhere near homeplate? or still in left field? thoughts anyone?

  • LET'S...GO...QUANTUM!!!!!!!!!!

  • a;ksdjhfvaksdjc;bfehfaweuivsdkvaruig picking up my the pieces of my exploded brain off the keyboard.

  • well...shit

  • what??

  • fuck i cant think anymore

  • OMG, a glitch in the Matrix!!!

  • BTW, It only stands to reason u measure somethings velocity when it is moving and u can only tell the position of something when u see it still to find it in that place and time. U see? vbs

  • Also, to prove this Spirit Force of Energy we all have & use, even if you don't even know u do, u still do, as we all can create our own reality, but not only that & of which I can prove, as a Spirit Force of Real Energy & u r too it's also not only possible, but provable by I that one can create the reality everyone SEES & EXPERIENCES, as well, ones that can SEE & EXPERIENCE can, that is & around the world, no less, but they say what I do is unfair & or unethical, not true because we all can

  • Science is the best tool ever revised for understanding how the world works. We are always at the brink of the known,

  • Yes, I am so sorry you've never experienced Spirit Interaction with another Spirit Being such as yourself or God but trust me there is a Spiritual Energy and because I have termed it and named it along with what it rides on and or with, just like Gravity does, as well, it's not my fought you find yourself to be funny, as we all are one & you leave us out is disheartening. But here, check this out and maybe better understand THE ENERGY! You Tube Evidence of God: Physics

  • How do you think we work? I mean we all are connected, as one and capable of Spirit Interaction between us, as within us all. I'll have you know it is of yet another Fundamental Constant Force of Energy in our Universe, as in the 1st Fundamental Force of Energy that did in fact ignite The Big Bang Theory & works like Gravity/Gravitron Particle/Gravitational PULL that ride on a Gravitational wave Force of Energy. Yes, I do have discovery of yet another Fundamental Force of Energy & can prove

  • Oh crap! The Particle that leaves the Electron gun is aways a vibarting particle of Energy and doesn't just run up to the wall with the slits in them and all of a sudden change into a wave form of energy...duh!

  • @TheSpiritForce1 I was actually listening to you til I got to 'Spiritron Particles that ride on a Spiritational Wave' lmao!

  • When they say collapsing the wave function and Xing

eack other out, during the double slit experiment, upon/in on each other, as like in 2 rocks were dropped on the other side of the slits producing the same results...that's not true and leaves one confused, to say the least, as the waves still hit the wall and leave their marks, as they are only weakened and not totally cancled out.

  • But, then again, where they can't understand where and or how a Particle/Electron/Nucleus can pop in and out of existence, as in where they must go, as without an answer they claim Parallel Worlds...is foolish at it's best, as I too can pop in and out of existence being made up of Spiritron Particles that ride on a Spiritational Wave form that allows one to be here and or there, as in 2 places at the same time or one and I am not going into some other Parallel World and can prove all of that

  • Thus and therefore...A Particle/Wave has to be a Particalwave, as in all Particles vibrate with Vibrating Energy, as they are, in fact, matter and we know all matter is E=Mc2.

Now, upon ones observance, via man or machine, it shows the observer collapsed The Electron Particle out it into its super position of one of it's wave functions upon the observance of the electron/electrons, something like when we observe another Spirit Being & or Living Ghost & can change too the functions of that tron

  • I have been thinking on and off about how this and how or can it be, but the uncertainty principle relates like big time with it all, as you can't find the speed of an electron when you see and or know it's position and likewise you can't find it's position if you know and are able to see the speed of an orbiting electron...it's like you either know one or the other, at any one point, in both time and space... What I do know is everything is Energy and all vibrating, thus and there

  • THIS IS SOOOOO COOOOOOOOOL :D

  • So what do we mean by measureing and observing? Is it he yeoman definition or some estoric physics definition?

  • @Snowburnd; thank you.

  • what about diffraction for the single slit?

  • @memoryreciever The uncertainty principle doesn't mean that they're uncertain about a particular aspect of science. It means if you observe the current position of a particle you will be unable to predict the future movement of the particle. 2 seconds of "research" could have told you that. This the the same argument from ignorance facing the word "theory". Science continued to progress past what you learned in the 6th grade.

  • @memoryreciever The big difference there is that science continues to search for explanations. This video was made years ago and was designed for people with a limited understanding of quantum physics, scientists do have explanations for this phenomenon but the point of the video was to show the experiment and how it completely changed how scientists thought of a phenomenon. How often does that happen in theology?

  • WHAT? An interference pattern!

  • this video is fucking awesome

  • @unitvectorIJK I can see why you'd be skeptical. I was as well. So I looked up everything I could find about this last year. I find this 8 part lecture good: watch?v=Bgnuib0z0vI

  • Comment removed

  • @Ljungman42

That lecture is highly misleading and is being torn apart in the comments section. You should've realized that something was amiss when you saw that the lecturer was in a church and had a "god giving life to man" graphic in the corner of his slides.

Wikipedia has a lot more recent info regarding this experiment. It appears that measurement devices almost inevitably slow or displace the electron/particle and knock it out of sync with whatever it is that interferes with the path.

  • @unitvectorIJK This has been tested. ONLY a human KNOWING how the electron behaved will alter the pattern. The interaction of the recording device, ect dosen't effect it IF you delete the findings befor you look at them or the result.

....I'm getting tired of saying this.....the simplest solution, is NOT the correct one in this case.

  • If is affected because the observation device emits energy, thus interupting the travel of said electron.

  • @wolfy9005 You don't think physicists have thought of this? It was logically their FIRST thought. However, this experiment has been tried where the observation device has made the recording for many different passes. The data of how the electron behaved was saved for each and some results were deleted BEFOR being looked at by a human being. The ones thats were deleted came out as an interferince pattern. The ones with saved data came out as two bands. This happends time and time again.

  • This experiment is the single biggest point in favor of he many worlds solution of quantum mechanics. Suddenly all the paradoxs just disapear.

  • @machngunjoe No it isn't flawed. The second point of the video and mystery of this experiment is theoretically observation doesn't affect behaviour, except in the quantum world it does.

  • From what I understand the experiment is flawed BECAUSE of the observation device. This show is good but it does mix pseudo- science with science

  • @machngunjoe Watch a longer, more in depth lecture on youtube about this and see why what you said is incorrect. If you record the data, but then erase it befor you look at it OR the result, then the result will be an interferince pattern. The only factor that makes a difference is if a human being has the possibility to see how the electron went through the slit(s).

  • Iif you imagine a t.v. tube, for you to see a picture on the front of it. the screen has to be illimintated, by electons. these come from a 'gun' which is seen at the back of a t.v. when its working, an electical charge is made to contact the 'gun', the gun 'fires' off the electrons, which in turn are guided by magnets to its target,(it now becomes a ray). it then hits the screen and you get a picture.this is done in a VACUUM, inside of the tube (no air in a vacuum), how the did he do it in a room

  • Well it can't take both ways and neather at the same time. I can't take both the stairs and the elevator at the same time now can I? But you don't knowing wich one I took to get up to the fifth floor. But if you place a camera both in the stairwell you'll notice that I didn't take eather of them. I took the fire ladder.

  • @RaccooNooB we can't see electrons. we can only see a reflection of electrons when electrons interfere with each other by being hit by light that changes the position of the electrons and causes multiple imbalances between charges that we call volt that divide the energy of the light into ripples. in order for electrons to move in an electron gun they have to create multiple (voltages) imbalances between each other emitted as waves.
