@fredjoyj I am sorry, I just seen your comment. First practice on your major, minor and pentatonic scales, then learn your other scales. I am self taught and I am still learning music theory. I listen to a lot of contemporary gospel, old school funk, neo-soul and jazz. Listen to all styles and learn all styles.
