You're correct, its completely voluntary. He doesn't force anyone to attend the conferences anymore than a televangelist forces little old ladies to donate their social security checks or a snake oil salesman makes consumers buy his products. However, that does not mean I have to respect his profession or not point out his flawed methods. I just have a certain respect for individuals who work their hands to their bones or study countless nights to make a difference that is tangible.

When I was a super huge fan of Tony a year ago, I thought Charlie was waaaay harsh with his questioning and interrupting. Now that a years gone by and I've left Tonys stuff out to gather dust, Rose to me is fulfilling his journalistic duties by opening Tony up and showing a hide rarely seen. He tries to catch him off-guard, and whether it was all intentional or not it made for one good interview. Tonys interview on "The Hour" had good left-field questions that caught Tony off-guard, as well.
I think the interviewer is being a little argumentative but thats mainly because he doesn't understand what Robbins is really all about. Nor can he relate to him.

It's maddening to watch this video. The dynamic with Charlie Rose is all wrong. It has to do with the data compression that takes place when the account holder uploads the video onto the website.

When I was a super huge fan of Tony a year ago, I thought Charlie was waaaay harsh with his questioning and interrupting. Now that a years gone by and I've left Tonys stuff out to gather dust, Rose to me is fulfilling his journalistic duties by opening Tony up and showing a hide rarely seen. He tries to catch him off-guard, and whether it was all intentional or not it made for one good interview. Tonys interview on "The Hour" had good left-field questions that caught Tony off-guard, as well.

As a response to you and all the other TR obsessed commentators here: Charlie Rose was never being "argumentative", but simply challenging TR because it's an effective way of getting the interviewee to share his/her viewpoints on various subjects. Your all so obsessed with your beloved Tony that the moment someone challenges him your up in arms about it, ready to run to his defense like a loyal army of little soldiers. It's really quite pathetic. By the way, I have nothing against TR.

You all need to relax. This is how CR interviews. He challenges his guests in order that they will be driven to fully explaining their viewpoints. It's a perfectly valid form of interviewing. If you would take TR's cock out your mouths for a moment you would realize that.

I would like to point out, that these free "life coaching" videos on here, from Mr. Robbin's, gave me the insight to understand myself and my wife better, making me a better husband.I'd say if that is a scam, I would love to be scammed more.

i know of a pedifile preast who worked well with the poor. Jimmy Swaggart helped many who were alcoholics.
And Tony Robbins helped many set and achieve goals in life. But there has been a disconnect that started in the early/mid 1990's.
I first noticed it when he began using foul language in his siminars and promoting new age religion. With all the fire walkikng, platitudes and hyper-motivation, he's just another divorced father separated from his kids half the time.

geezz Charlie, didn't your mom tell you it is rude to talk over someone. I can't hardly watch this because of all the rude interruptions. Robbins is so polished it is very hard to get beneath his professional persona. He keeps lapsing into his speech, and Charlie clearly is one of these guys who things all self-help is bunk. So he keeps dismissing everything Tony says, and disagrees even when they say the same thing. Charlie comes across very insecure and arrogant.

It's maddening to watch this video. The dynamic with Charlie Rose is all wrong. Rose feels like he needs to take control of the interview - and I understand him to a certain extent - because Rose wants something other than what Tony says to audiences everyday. But Rose's technique fails miserably. Rose comes off as trying to one-up Tony and seems very insecure. At times you see Tony just sitting there smiling as Rose goes on and on. This is not what people want to see...
