  • Well done!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we sung this in music in the 7th grade...gay!

  • Comment removed

  • Gilbert and Sullivan were to the British as Offenbach was to the French, they mocked the bourgeois class and rules. Offenbach was once asked if he wasn't worried that he would offend his audiences. He said "no", they always think that I am talking about someone else.

  • Love this, please like my comment im lonely!

If I get 5 likes/ thumbs up I'll eat a bottle of beer!

  • lol wow... this song is like 500 years old but it's so awesome for some reason :D lol I'm sorry but the girls kinda ruin it :/

  • @WraithWanderer please don't exaggerate. HMS Pinafore is 130 not 500 years old. Repetitions by the chorus are an essential part of many G & S songs. In the case of the character Sir Joseph Porter who sings this song, the intended chorus comprises his cousins, his sisters and his aunts - you can count them by the dozens.

  • He's not acting in the musical, he's singing the song. I thought his little gestures added a nice liveliness to it.

  • It's ironic to see what was once a near-scandalous (to the Victorians who saw it) satire presented at a black tie recital.

  • this dude is a nerd

  • @SAMDACODM0NTAGE How do you know that? I could say you are a nerd because you have the word montage in your name.

  • What the, Who was, From Where, Uhhhhhhh Jesus Christ!!!

  • Wow, that guy's hawt!

  • This song is absolutely fucking rediculous to the point of where I expect tomatoes to be thrown by a rawdy audience.

  • this song is beastly

  • It's called "SATIRE" Look it up. You might learn from it and connect it with currant politics!

  • @00193900 Learn to spell.

  • I didn´t like the chorus and piano, and lack of acting oh the boy, but I found his voice excellent

  • I disagree. This was excellent.

  • A mediocre performance at best. The piano acompaniment was terrible and the performer have drained the life out this song and taken it completely out of context. just awful.

  • @sevierno Exactly. There was no life to the song, he was just singing it.

  • i love this song

  • wheres the nike fit and t'ns!!

  • Lad.. nice song

  • well sung, sounds convincing english! spot on. :)

  • tally ho chap and fish and chips wot

  • Guvnah

  • Once i get mah paws on yu little thingummy...yull wish u never crossed that loch!

  • Wonderful - - - bravo, encore, encore! I loved it; and of the five different youtube versions i watched yours has the best timbre to it.

You come off sounding so serious while saying the oh-so-ridiculous lines - - - it's perfect dramatic irony!

  • sorry the piano couldn't have been better

  • Wow. That just sucked all of the humor out of the song. Gilbert and Sullivan were comedic operas--the performers obviously missed the "comedic" part.

  • The pianist makes so many mistakes its hard to listen to, and the guy anticipates the notes to early and he takes to many breaths, i think its atrocious. He ruins such a great Gilbert and Sullivan song. but that's my opinion .

  • could've used more ladies for the echo

  • Spot on old chap!

Sounds so wonderfully ENGLISH! (Even the comments -- "jolly good show.")

I hope you have time to check out our US version. If we could all sing with these accents, we would be fabulous.

  • hahahhahaha funny

  • beautifully done...perfect, clear voice.

  • Sweet job!

  • what a character, good show, jolly good show

  • Fine singing and musicianship, tasteful!

  • Buxton GnS Fest here you come! Best Wishes

  • Now you are the ruler of Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas. Great!

  • i disagree

  • He is great for the part of "Sir Joseph", that preformance was wonderful, is he a student?

  • Funky piano part in the beginning but got better in the vamp into the verse.

Weird breath in the second verse; almost through/into a word, take it at the beginning of the stanza instead of carrying through from the previous.

Something fun you can do with this song, is start out a little bit slower, and get progressively faster.

    Great performance though!!

  • How old is this lad? What a powerful voice, Indeed!!!!!

I know what i am talking about, I've seen this musical several of times and I know every line!:D Good job, lad!

  • i love this song and he has an insanely amazing voice and very clear

  • VERY well, done, loud and clear.

I'm actually going to use this vid to "study" from ( I have to sing this song for my music class assignment) 5 stars =)

  • Excellent enunciation and a great voice. Well done!

  • wow he has an amazing voice

  • For a last-minute throw together performance, not bad! Yay, G&S!

  • I sang that song for a chior solo and my brother played tha piano, I have to say though that he was better

  • omg me and 3 other friends had to sing that on a spring concert >.< compared to that guy we sounded like crap xD

  • Well done!

  • Great job! It's always nice to see yet another generation presenting the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. And may I add, presenting it well!

  • hey, i was there!
