This guy was ridiculously good, i've never seen anyone else with his skills, but then lost it abruptly. He kept getting selected for a long time after losing it. Don't know why he lost it but he did. Can't blame Mitchell for that.

He was playing his BEST rugby at the time, so yeah, we can blame that dickhead Mitchell for that. And you know the saddest part? Cullen was only 27, he would of easily made it to the 2007 RWC. But because of Mitchell, our best Fullback to ever put on the jersey had no choice but to go elsewhere since he wasnt wanted here.
Christian Cullen raised the bar for a fullback, his speed,skill and ability to read a game was way before his time. He had a great presence of mind and could keep a cool head under pressure.
Even now in 2011 I still think he is better than any other fullback that is currently playing the game. Christian you were a pleasure to watch. From a Bok supporter.

Cullen was a Legend. I haven’t seen any player yet with the skills to match Cullen. Christian Cullen was one of the best Rugby Players of all-time to wear the Black Jersey. Proud to be Kiwi.
