Yep. It's great pickin but there's an extra beat in the B part that's not being played. The tune isn't "square"

Thats wrong. there is an extra beat in the b part. That is what makes it a backstep. If you listen closley to the original recording the b part ends on a fifth beat. 12341234123412345. I could be wrong but listen to the org rec.
