Friends and family may alienate from him, his wife, if in fact she was the passenger will not trust a mad killer, and they may be justly sued for wrongful death.

If you know so much about Sheppard's past that it explains his behaviour, can you tell us what Bryant was doing that night? And don't say he wasn't drunk.  The police didn't give him a breathalyzer because he claimed he didn't have any drinks for dinner. Gee, maybe every drunk driver weaving around the road killing people should also use that excuse to get out of a breathalyzer. This certainly sets a precedent. The fix is in.

Unfortunately, if the news organizations don't air the footage, there isn't going to be any change in public opinion that somehow Bryant was acting in self defense. Once people see the footage, and see how quickly it unfolded, there obviously was no time for Darcy to get him in a 'head-lock' or 'grab at the steering wheel' consciously. Whatever he grabbed at, it was a last ditch effort to get Bryant to stop his car and have the cops deal with the collisions. Bryant was running from the law.

If you look at the enhanced footage and the raw footage, they show more of clip 2, which is the car in movement, pushing Sheppard to the ground. I highly doubt there was much talking between the two other than 'WTF' at that point, and once Bryant started bolting off, Darcy's instinct was to grab at the car, hoping Bryant would have no choice but to slow down. I wish there was clearer footage of the occupants of the car. We were told more than 24 hours later that his wife was his passenger, but initial reports indicated the passenger was blonde haired. His wife has dark brown hair, and this difference was even pointed out on the talk show I listened to the morning after the incident. It could be a reason why he didn't want to report the original fender benders, and drove around the corner to let that person off. 'Passenger' contacted police later.

Toronto cops are withholding evidence that several construction workers have given, concerning Sheppard's having merely held onto a mirror and the windshield wiper recess as Bryant sped up to a reported "90 MPH" (only a subjective estimate). In spite of media accounts that a drunken, aggressive, out of control Sheppard posed a mortal threat to Bryant, the video proves that, rather than having attacked the man, he placed himself at least 6 feet in front of the car.
