  • I love that Dash 8 so cute haha. Where is this place? Nice vid

  • cool video brah

  • What is the knot speed the aircraft needs to reach before it can lift off?

  • @DrMongoose12 depends on the weight of the aircraft and a few other factors. mainly the weight. the FMC will compute the takeoff power most of the time. the pilots will spool up to about 50% N1 and then select the TO/GA switch to let the auto throttle power up to the setting needed for takeoff.

  • HEHE at that CRJ going first,

    USairways Hub getting priority

  • This is like te smaa

  • We have been here quite a few times. It has an amazing view of the main runways. You can also see a bit of the other two runways. With a camera with a basic zoom you can take up-close photos.

  • You have an great spot.

  • ha mean crj 700

  • Looks like that first US A320 was a 'west' aircraft.

  • Yes, those are the right directions. Sometimes i go plane spotting here in Columbia SC (CAE) but the view at CLT is better from what I see.

  • just found this place, and saw the Lufthansa Airbus A340. So close you can reach out and touch it, best spot to watch 5 stars, cool vid

  • Thanks! If you watch Part 3, I recorded a Lufthansa A340 taking off. And if you watch closely, you can see a dust cloud form after it takes off.

  • Ya i saw that, pretty neat when u see it in person.

  • yup

  • How do you get to that spot? Have been to CLT before but can't find it, O_O

  • Travel 85 to Billy Graham Prkwy. Get off at Wilkison Blvd. Turn towards the airport, Turn on Little Rock Road and go through the parking lots. Continue on Old Dowd Road. It should say Charlotte Airport Overlook or sometin like that

  • Im pretty sure those r the right directions, if i remember right.
