Thanks for this- The Lombardo band has long been a favourite- since I had my photo taken with Guy and Carmen, as an 18 year old on a date, years ago.

The recordings from the 30's with Carmen as vocalist are the classics- made for dancing. Lombardo's arrangements were always simple, straightforward- you knew what the song was in the first bars, and Carmens perfect diction just fit the times and the great standard tunes of the day.

This is a great recording- thanks so much.

I love Guy Lombardo!! Didn't get to see him in a live performance, but after his death, his Orchestra came to Greenville, TN and I did get to see them. Music sounded the same, but HE was missing! What a loss!!
