I think that Ronan Mcmanus (above) first heard this song from me. I have to record this for now youtube - watch this space.
Paul Brady is without doubt the master of this song and learnt it from Christy Moore - his open D arrangement is pure genius.

this is an excellent rendition it reminds me a lot of the Hot House Flowers version (still the best in my opinion) not uploaded on you tube it is rare but is is exceptional

I agree, a great rendition. Paul Brady's 1977 version of course is untouchable, no one will ever come close to that performance.
But this is an excellent and worthy effort from BCS......
