Much like High School ( and all of Wiseman's cinema verite-styled documentaries), you should check out a documentary called Streetwise (it's very rare, but has been uploaded on YouTube) It's a non-staged observation of street life: no celebrity narrators, no manipulative tricks, it's as close to street living that a viewer will ever get. Photographer Mary Ellen Mark is spot-on; director Martin Bell is refreshingly un-exploitative. A must-see. Maybe check it out and post a review?

If Wiseman is good at showing 'just how stupid humanity is', then your reviews are good at showing how pretentious and violently dreary hipsters are.

Sure, high school is a vortex of hormones, broken condoms and fake heartbreak - but it's also life's acid test - painful, shattering, exhilarating, charged LIFE. Without that social crisis that molds you into the person you will spend the rest of your life as, you are a flapping deadbeat with a closet empty of skeletons because they were 'stupid'.

No one really gives a crap, most of the people are failing in all my classes, no one listens to the teachers, there all just a bunch of stupid idiots who seem to think they know everything. Wiseman's films reveal the darkside of the American Dream through a structurally and aesthetically complex mosaic of images to inform the audience about the appalling conditions of institutional life. High School was the worst for me, and so is University. We're all confined by rules and authority rarely plays by the ones they try to instill in us. My gym teacher slept with 3 girls from my High School - Mean Girls style minus the Asians

Wiseman makes pretty good documentaries which have inflated reputations due to the needlessly obscure nature of them. Which far from making them less "consumer products", just means more people who do see them will be impressed with themselves for being part of an exclusive group.

Everyone in highschool is a fuin poser i mean everyone or a brainwashed prep destined to be a slave of the machine untill they die. like u said highschool sucks the goodness outa people.
