Stop while you're ahead, those of you who still insist on smoking. My grandfather quit when he was in his 50s and he lived another 30 years to see all of his grandkids come into the world.

When he quit he was a very staunch anti-smoker. Cold turkey was how he did it. I don't know about today, though with all the crap that's being put into cigarettes now.

It's hard the lungs from an uncle of mine exploited while extracting the mud shit from his lungs he was alive and well untill he only had left 1/3 of a lung functionally. Actually, your body does process toxins and gradually rids itself of pollutants inhaled through tobacco smoke and through all the other ways we inhale them daily (such as petrochemical smog while waiting in traffic.) If it didn't, the life expectancy of people in general would be very low.

Also, this ad talks about how much tar a smoker inhales each yr, doesn't even mention how most of it is exhaled when a smoker breathes out.
