My god! I can't seem to understand his technique... It just look like he re-draw the same picture over and over. Is it on different layer? and does he use a "blending" method for each layer?, or just lower opacity, and maybe a little blur?

Anyway, He is one skilled artist!! Bravo

First, he makes a sketch, then (new layer) he applies color, (new layer) shadows+blur, (new layer) lights+blur, then a layer with half-transparent color. These steps (shadow, light, transparent color) are repeated over and over again, with decreasing blur-strength. Afterwards, he applies final details, like hair, light reflexes etc..
