You guys are stupid, its plain to see that Capacitive is better than Resistive HELLO!!! I have an iphone and been an iphone user for 4 years. My son had a resistive touch screen on his phone and it was crap! Had to use a stylus just get the damn thing to work!!

@playerblaze600 One word: accuracy. Capacitive fail in accuracy, that's why you don't see capacitive screens on any bank, stores, etc. with touchscreen devices. Plus, capacitive are useless in dry and cold weather.

this guy put the suckiest resistive phone against the Iphone and it appears he cant even use it right if you cant use your figers to operate a resistive phone get a stylus which has proven to be more accurate than any finger tip on this planet

try using anything besides your dirty finger tips on your capacitive phone or you could get that retarded stylus thing they have along with those even more retarded gloves

@Khaosclan This guy put a highly rated high end phone of 2007 with resistive touch screen and compared it with another high end phone with a capacitive screen that also started built in 2007 in the first gen of that phone,then made a video to show both in actual use,to show that the resistive sucks if you want speed,and easy multimedia access using fingers,while the capacitive is better on those but less accurate and more easy to confuse than the resistive in case you use a stylus.

when my finger caught static , my capacitive screen can even register touch as the static from my finger tip passers through thin air and make contact with the screen

This is a sucky "review".. Why compare the LG Viewty with an iphone? It's annoyin me very much. Iphone is a high-end while the LG is a low-end. The procceser of the Iphone is also much better than the LG's, which makes the hardware alot more smooth and enjoyable. I wouldn't follow this. When all come to all i would say i prefer capasitive touch screens over resistive touch screens, but this looks just like a fan make video of a capasitive user trying to say how crappy resistive screens are.

@InsulaDK When LG released was costing about 500 Euros,close to how much iPhone 2g was costing a few months after released.

The first iPhone's screen has exactly the same response as the Screen of 3GS,now both 2g and Viewty are costing the same,about 100-150 euros used,so this video isn't that sucky as except of Viewty's Screen Vs iPhone's Screen it compares Resistive Vs Capacitive,the good and bad things of the Resistive and Capacitive Technology are the same everywhere.

@InsulaDK Resistive screens for phones like iPhone,Desire,etc are bad and aren't used anymore by the most of manufacturers except for use in lower end models mostly to keep the cost low.

If you use a Stylus they are more accurate for texting and works who need accuracy,but when it comes to speed,scrolling,multitouching,­the press of small buttons,web buttons,web browsing,gaming,etc,they are bad compared to Capacitive.

@InsulaDK If we take iPhone's,Desire's,Galaxy's Capacitive Digitizer out and put a resistive,then automatically the phone will have no multitouch support at the time most features such zooming are using it,no smooth scrolling when the whole phone's system is scroll based,limited web browsing abilities,and between all those the actual speed of use will be decreased.

If a High End phone like those i described can be used having Resistive's problems as well as with Capacitive,then i'm a Fanboy.

@SonicNeary Actually the LG is awkward everywhere,lol.

It's a cellphone that used to cost about 500 euros when it released,but it was way overpriced because its hardware is slow,it doesn't have Wi-Fi,it uses an LG Operating System (not even Symbian) which only accepts Java Applications and you can't even change the Theme,and pretty basically you can't do much things with it.

It's like the first iPhone Generations - > Useless Phone - Good Screen (For its Technology back in 2007).

Conclusion: Resistive sucks for scrolling,web browsing (small web buttons are non pressable),and for jobs that are require speed but it's good for entry level touch screen cellphones like some cheap LGs if we exclude the fact that they suck lol.

Capacitive is better for everything if the menus and everything is optimized for it,but the user need to be used to it because it's sensitive and it might screw up a text message for example by typing random shit accidentally with just a touch.
