Hi Steve - The bowl you flash at 05:49 - you said it's working better - is it just a question of size of the bowl or what it's made of? - Thinking of getting a bowl and would be interested to know what's your preference for getting a lather up. Thanks
You got it right the last couple times saying it, names pronounced like (Wine-E-gar) tho I say it with a V sound t sound all cool sometimes haha, like ya said the first time! It's very interesting to see how your collection has progressed, I remember a long while ago ya just had afew. I recall there being like 3 older looking turkish razors ya had on there. It was also cool seeing the room from the other angle haha, usually just recognize the room by the round light to the left & the panel haha.
Nice video Steve, I liked seeing the collection of mugs, razors, and blades, go nicely in the cabinet, thanks for the mention, I will back you up as regards to the Arko cream, when I have it on, my face glows for hours.haha. Enjoyed the behind the scenes of this video. Thanks Steve. Paul :-))
Great video and interesting to see the difference in the lather. Did it make a difference to the shave?
Thanks for the "shout out" (as people much younger and hipper than I say!) and keep up the great work. I'll be particularly interested in how you get on with the different soaps.
Take care
David
P.S. Nice to hear that you are an old boy of the “Wad”; I went to the Grange in Runcorn.
@itsamathematicsthing I worked for Halton Council for 82 to 84 as the Play development worker too, I was all over the place running summer playschemes and the like
Respond to this video... to tell you the truth the lather is much better but not made a great difference to the shave, the other thing to say is turkish barbers wipe the lather off with the blunt side of teh blade, maybe its the presoftening which is so important?

On Ebay there's a chinese guy named Iantang who sell from Frank Shaving. You might want to check 'm out as they are pretty decent brushes for a great price. I got myself the best badger and imho it's a great brush.
This was a spectacular shave Steve. I guess that slant works like a charm. And maybe the excellent lather helps also. Great to see that DE shaving comes so easy to you in general. Very motivating/inspirational!
About the brush you used, just like hoskins1100 I also think it is so coarse because it is of the pure badger hair grade.
@wank0r The Palmolive stick is nice. You can get it nearly anywhere they sell shaving stuff for under a pound. Much harder than Arko stick, so if you want to put it in a bowl, you'll have to grate it. It's the soap I reach for when I'm not feeling well since its lather makes my face seem bulletproof. Also available locally would be the tallow formula Erasmic stick. Also cheaper than a portion of chips and a great lather.
Thanks for the shout, Steve. Great shave today. I used my Slim @ 7.
hi stephen.hoskins1100 and john hoskins were the same guy thanks for the shoutout.looks like your getting a realy nice collection going,i guess ill have to buy a camcorder so i can show you my collection of goodies, looks like your new brush is pure badger and your regular brush is best or super badger the better grade of badger hair the softer it is,well i dont want to talk your ear off so ill say cheers from michigan,
