  • WAR MY ASS! THIS IS LOSER JORDANS BAND!

  • This aint shit; check Lowrider Band's version. It's the real deal. This poser shit has got to go - should be ashamed to call this "WAR"

  • I got a new slogan for Lonnie's WAR, Wanting All Royalties, How's that one TRUE War fans? Peace.

  • That is NOT WAR! That is Lonnie Jordan and his tribute band. The heart and soul of WAR is now called the Lowrider Band and it's a shame what was done to them!

  • sal is one of the best drummers out there, very underated. this band is great. hired guns or not they are great. and f.y.i they are not from mexico, they are from los angeles

  • this is a lonnie jordan solo show. lonnie without howard scott is like mcartney without lennon-BORING!

  • I Had the opportunity to see War in May of 2007, at the Capital Jazz Fest in MD. The Band was tight and and Lonnie put on a hell of a performance. Although, Lonnie is the original band member and many of the new members are from Mexico the quality of the music has not suffered because they are master musicians. I hope to catch them again.

  • what keybaord is lonnie using

  • Yep...only "the music" counts. Never mind that the other four surviving members of War aren't getting paid their royalties for the sale and performance of the music THEY created. Never mind that Charles Miller's kids are living on the street. Never mind that Lonnie likes to see "I'm the only one left" despite the Lowrider Band's existence. It's all about the music, right?

  • Too bad this isn't the "War" we all knew and loved. This is Lonnie Jordan and a bunch hired hands. Lonnie sold his 4 surviving bandmates OUT. They're still around, keeping the TRUE "War" sound alive as the Low Rider band (lowriderbanddotcom): Harold Brown, Lee Oskar, B.B. Dickerson, and Howard Scott.

  • He ruined the song with all that grandstanding. I've seen the real War.

  • Well, I'm glad someone else up here KNOWS WHAT'S UP! The truth is coming out slowly but surely, and people are beginning to figure things out.

  • I saw these guys in the seventies-they were the opening act for Issac Hayes during a thanksgiving weekend show. Man, it was a blast.

  • Classic and awesome! Saw these guys in 1972 and they still can groove the house down!

    More!

  • My "dad" iz the cool dude on the sax....

  • I seen these guys in Maryland at the Jazz fest this year and they were the best act by far. They tore it up. Hey Lonnie can't wait for War Stories.

  • I've been looking all over for a video of "The World Is A Ghetto" but this will do.

    Thanks

  • I've found a"World is a Ghetto" movie as "An interview with Lonnie Jordan"

    From: sasianm.

    Cheers!

  • Thanks.

  • Classic East L.A. style. War can never be duplicated.

  • Peace- it just was, all except for the organist singer!

  • DaHoraaa!!! Classic!

  • If you got anything else with this song that would be gravy!!! Thanks for the post!
