@Hunnylamb26 and Cheatalia Very true on both counts. But I think everyone's problem extended beyond simple selfishness with Lynn; their problem was, Lynn didn't do anything. I repeat, not A DAMN THING! With 5 postgrad degrees...and I'm working on 1, and I know how difficult it can be! Lynn was always smart, but also lazy with no direction for a long time in the series. People got tired of helping her, when she didnt want to help herself. Selfish theme aside, I love and miss this show!

i know how maya feels, i did all my prerequisites at an accreditted university that ran in quarters, but when i tried to switched to a private school to finish my last 2 years in the nursing program they wouldnt recognized my 3 years of prerequisities :'(

Wow! I never realized how much this show glorified selfishness and greed! I understand Maya but at the same time Lynn is different! She needs help and only finds these so called "girlfriends" giving her tough love when in reality they just don't care enough to want to help her. Believe me, the people on top don't want us to succeed! Because in order to be on top there's gotta be people at the bottom!

@HunnyLamb26 Yes Lynn is different but she was also a lazy bum and her friends kept enabling her to be that. Being different has nothing to do w/the fact that for the longest she refused to get a job b/c she wanted something that "fit her" and refused to settle. When you don't have money or your own place and you're living off of your friends, you don't have the option to be picky about work. You get a job and continue to look for something better.

@bettyjtanner I do know that Lynns character is the free spirit,bohemian who has trouble finding herself. I loved lynn, she was my favorite character behind Toni. However the person I responded to spoke as though b/c she was different they should continue to allow her to be a bum. No. They always helped her, especially Joan, but at the end of the day she was a grown woman and her responsibility to her self should have been getting herself together. Thank goodness she finally did.
