i actually think the alsaud family do a good job in governing. did you know we have the least amount of dissidence per capita in the whole world. people sometime dont realise saudi just 40 years ago the majority of people were nomads that fought relentlessly among one another. the country is modernizing so fast its a surprise the social fabric of the society has not ripped. yes there are strong ties with the united sates but thats called a diplomatic relationship. saudi is not a client state.

Lol, don't make me laugh. What holds saudi arabia together is Islam. In pre-Islamic times, Arabia was a land of constant warfare between tribes fighting over scarce resources. After Islam, Arabians swept aside the Roman and Persian empires in such speed and against such overwhelming odds that it baffles historians to this day.
