  • Well he's in election, put his party is not. They're in coalition. Really, the Conservatives are in government, with input here and there from the lib dems, they do not have a majority, they do not have the mandate they needed.

  • If this country wanted lib dem policies so much, why didn't it elect them? Their complaining about clegg breaking his promises, but according to the election results much more people wanted the Torys or Labour, so why all this hate against Clegg? If you wanted his policies you should have given him a majority, that's what he needed and he didn't get it. He's not in government, he has to compromise, he stopped tuition fees becoming cap-less, so grow up.

  • David Cameron V2

  • I want to know two things Clegg:

    1. How much paper did you use in this video?

    2. did you clean up the mess you made and recycle those papers?

  • @shaunlomax1 it looks computer generated to me

  • Promises broken - yes like raising tuition fees.

  • No wonder they never win...

  • 0 things in this were even fought for. Such a shame, because every one of those things would have been positive, especially a reform of the electoral system and the ability to recall useless MPs. Obviously he wasn't going to be able to change much by being in a coalition with the tories but because he has been relatively spineless he has doomed his party to the political long grass for a long, long time.

  • @TheEmptyHunter I hate to break it to you but many of the promises he outlined were made, or are being made. This includes raising the tax threshold to £10,000, splitting the banks, Pupil Premium, and electoral reform.. well AV was a very modest change, but a positive one. Shame the NotoAV campaign made up amazing lies, which convinced the people that having a voting system where more votes count is some how worse.

  • What a bunch of crap and lies!

Vote UKIP, or vote for libs, lab or cons, and your voting for dissapointment and lies. UKIP are the only ones to pull this contry back from the jaws of oblivion. A Vote for UKIP, is a vote for Britain and yourselves. Britain needs to start doing the right thing. We need to wake up...

  • if people actually knew how the change in tution fees works they wouldnt be complaining, and would realise that its better than what labour and conservatives would introduce. - also it was a labour peer who wrote the report saying that fees should rise (without a cap and less help for the poorest students), so dont fool yourself in wanting to vote labour.

  • Can't believed I voted for this cunt.

  • I can't afford to go to uni now thanks to him. Thanks a bunch you elitist dick.

  • Lol "too many broken promises" couldn't have said it better myself Cleggy boy. Eh?

  • I wish people would get a grip on reality. No party won a majority. It was either a Conservative-Lib Dem coalition, or another election. Labour didn't have enough seats to form a coalition.

The policies in the Lib Dem manifesto cannot all be applied in a coalition government. Do you really think the Lib Dems could just have said "We're not going to compromise on anything at all"? They got concessions from the Conservatives. Eg, raising the income tax personal allowance to £10,000.

  • Broken promises? That sounds familiar Clegg u dickhead!

  • he better pick up all those pieces of paper and not break any more promises..

  • Thank you Nick clegg for giving us hope!! And then spitting it back in our face!!

  • One year ago today this video went out, how many broken promises have you made Nick.

  • this sums it up. i hate him. i hate the tories. the country has just entered the first year with the cuts, if you think it's bad now the next year is going to be so tough.

who voted for conservatives or lib dems?

  • @Jackerzz2 'who voted for conservatives or lib dems?'

Added together? 59.1% of those who voted on May 6, nearly 18million people, more than any other peacetime government for over 100 years and still, on year in, more popular than the largest opposition party (In YouGov's latest polling - CON 36%, LAB 42%, LDEM 10%).

  • I sincerely hope Nick Clegg doesn't get his place as MP this year. Sack him!

  • makes me laugh my sides silly with his broken piss taking promises. Clegg you are worse than Neville chamberlain TRAITOR.

  • makes me laugh my sides silly with his broken piss taking promises. Clegg you are worse than Neville chamberlain TRAITOR

  • A clever political broadcast, very saleable. I'm not a LibDem and never have been, but I feel angry at Clegg. He really let his party and his electorate down.

  • It's an absolutely lovely party political broadcast - but it has turned into a promise broken itself.

  • It is sad in a way that I as a student believed Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats were the way forward other than Labour and the Conservatives. Nick Clegg then joind the tories in coalition and stabbed everyone who voted for his partys principles in the back.

  • shame that this party political broadcast is so light on facts and heavy on emotion. The fact of the matter is there was no way Clegg could have kept his promises so campaigning on the basis of keeping promises was a fundamental error.

  • 2 things i don't like about nick clegg: his face

  • Guys, you all like to complain, but we're so lucky to actually live in a country where we can complain as much as we want without getting our heads blown off! The government aren't actually that bad- I mean the uni fee's are bad, but at least that means the people that go to uni go because they're getting proper, needed degree's; not a degree in gardening. Theyre not all that bad :) x

  • @TheGooseyGoo Actually, it puts much more emphasis on choosing degrees that will *earn* more. As a citizen do you want to be telling future generations that they should aspire to be accountants or solicitors because these jobs earn the most? Where is the persuasion to get qualified to work with vulnerable people, or something more art based that puts us on the cultural map, or, at the very least, where's the persuasion for young people to follow their dreams and not money?

  • @goldendisc haha, it cringes me out when I look at comments that I made a few weeks ago :D what did I actually say? I can't remember... Anyway, everything you said up there I agree with! ^^ You're so right about people doing what they WANT, rather than what will earn them the most... you are one wise man/woman :)

  • @TheGooseyGoo Thank you :) If everybody aspired to do what they want to do, rather than be led by financial gain, everyone would be a lot happier. Something Mr Cameron should consider in his happiness scheme thing.

  • 'if your mp is corrupt you will be able to sack them..'

so... when do we get to sack clegg?!

  • @balloongirl218 is he corrupt? more importantly, is he YOUR mp?

  • I thought i heard one or two contradictions in what he said there.

  • 0:43 - 0:47 What an utter cunt.

  • LOL! This is so funny watching this after Nick Clegg sold out big time!

    Bull f***ing sh*t!

  • Booooo Nick Cleggg BOOOOOO!!!!!

  • Yeah, right on. I hate broken promises! Like.. hmm, let me see, a promise to vote against a rise in tuition fees?

    BROKEN.

  • The only thing I don't like is all the littering with all those papers flying around.

  • I live in Florida and this almost seems like some political advertisements I've seen in the past year.

  • what an embarressment!

  • What a mess!

  • Theres so many lies upon lies here, Clegg has sorted them into one massive, 20-storey, stab-in-the-back

  • What an absolute fucking CUUNT.

  • What an absolute fucking CUNT.

  • No student fees? YOU TRAITOR SCUM

  • IRONY.

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ROFLCOPTER @ the first 3 seconds. What a joke.

  • Broken promises? You total liar. Let's sack you for being corrupt and failing to back up your words when its for real. Try growing a pair, loser

  • Even as an American, I have never seen such a transparent power grab in my life. The ultimate irony is that not only has he ended up with no real power now, he's destroyed any chance for his party to ever have any in the future.

  • @bduddy55555 This is probably the truest thing I've read all day. But it is only 2AM.

  • Why did Nick Clegg cross the road? Because he said he wouldn't!

  • "I believe that it's time for promises to be kept."

    X_x

    Wow, just... wow. Hipocritical much?

  • LIES UPON LIES, UPON LIES, UPON DECEITFUL LIES

  • lol and the libdems wonder why students feel betrayed

  • Make the most of your time in Sun, Liberal Democrats, the next time the Sun shines for your Party, myself and most of the students who protested you will be long dead.. politicians are self serving liars, law should be implemented to kick out any government who goes against promises made to the people so they can feed at the tax payers trough!

  • Broken promises, like erm, oh yes! Tuition fees?

  • LIES

  • What is wrong with these sociopaths? Politicians are really sick people.

  • i luv this shit hes comin out with....

  • and guess wot........ there were more broken promises, wot a tit!

  • FUCKING LIAR

  • hahahahaah @2:40 ''if your MP is corrupt, you will be able to sack him''' ... off you go then clegg, lying, hypocritical, spineless fool

  • @mr420B well jog on then nick clegg u corrupt, fuckin, sell out piece of shit

  • all i can think when clegg is you dirty dirty bastard .i see the lib dem reps on question time squirming in there seats, struggling to defend the Tory policies that they never dreamed they would have to support. i think some of them are occasionally sick in there own mouths .but its hard to feel sorry for them .dirty dirty bastards

  • I believe it's time to do things differently. David Cameron - a neck easily broken, George Osborne - a chin easily broken, Nick Clegg - a spine.... oh hang on, he doesn't have one.

  • This is rather ironic. Broken promises Nick? You broke more than Brown and Cameron!

  • Despite the fact I voted Labour, I think this is an excellent PEB. I was almost tempted at the time. Sounded so promising. Just glad I DID vote Labour. Because, effectively, if I'd voted LD, I'd have been one of the unfortunate many that were tricked and ultimately put Smuggins and his hooray Henry pals into No10.

Clegg is a traitor to the left and, while he has his moment of glory now, once Labour regain power, the Lib Dems will experience political wilderness on a scale they can't imagine.

  • lolz lib-dems....

  • considering the fact the lib dems have brokeen so many promises and are on the way to let the conservatives create an unfairer society

    green party+diane abbot ftw

  • hes so cool!!!!!!

  • hey, Isn't that song on 28 days later? also the bit at the begging looks like the London that Jim wakes up in, yanno with all the litter?

  • What a spunking hypocritical cock end this odious man is

  • I hope he will be PM one day I know he lose this time but he is still trying to do what he said he would do

  • I'm glad I didn't vote Lib-Dem now it seems they were Tories in disguise. Lets see if yellow is is their colour for a reason.

  • Brilliant use of Brian Eno.

  • I hope you picked up all those pieces of paper Nick!

  • @TheVanChef Hi, I'm a Lib Dem Activist in Sheffield who was present in the field with all that damned paper. It was all picked up afterward by us, though Nick just went straight back to London. And the bit in London was CGI, thank god.

  • OMG BNP!! Nazi scum, anyone who votes for them clearly doesn't remember WW2!! Lib Dem RULE!!!!

  • Clegg didn't mention his desire for us to be put back in our place. I quote the little git : All nations have a cross to bear, and none more so than Germany with its memories of Nazism. But the British cross is more insidious still.

A misplaced sense of superiority, sustained by delusions of grandeur and a tenacious obsession with the last war, is much harder to shake off. We need to be put back in our place. " Sounds fairly traitorous to me.

  • Anyone voting BNP should be forced to watch Schindler's List first... Wake up and smell the coffee. Forced repatriaton was a Nazi policy, look where that took Germany. Where are you going to find all the illigal imigrants who are HIDDEN in the UK? You think the'll present themselfs to you nicely. Where will you find the billions it's going to cost to give them £50000 each to leave in a recession? A vote for Lib Dems is a vote for sanity!

  • The only party able to save Great Britain is the British National Party. Im fed up of Liblabcon claiming to be the only parties "in the race". We need someone to tackle immigration effectively by getting us out of the EU. We also need to stop wasting money on foreign expenses, Im not sure how much it cost to be in the EU but we dont need it. The greedy parties that have controlled our government have sold everything, now we have nothing. We are half the country we used to be.

  • @BradfordsVee the BNP? scum like you need to be shot in the streets, racist bigotry isn't cool

  • Why the music? Why the walking? Why can't he just give the views in a 30 second broadcast? Parties use so much propaganda it's unreal.

  • Vote Lib dem wooo!!

  • Hmmm Nick Clegg is littering Britain, are we meant to vote for him now?

  • @TheDeadlydaz vote bnp and kick every black person out of the counrty?? come on man, they'll ruin the country.

  • @rainbowwaffle16 You obviously do not understand there policies then do you. Have you read the manifesto quite obviously not.

  • whats the music called in the background?

  • However, play it back with "in a heart beat" by plain white panties, and see how it sounds...

  • Is the guy behind NC at 1:12 the same as the guy at 1:19? How did he run round so quick?

  • that was... Awesome !!

  • sounds fair :)

im not a fan of lib dems littering thought XD

  • Was going to ask the same question, thankyou for posting the title of the music, its mesmeric.

  • It's An Ending Ascent by Brian Eno. One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever made.

  • Aye, i love the background song in this too. Really hope some1 could reply to my comment with the answer ?

  • whats the background music for this video?
