    What's your classic line-up???!!!

  • That would be a great line up. All great muzo's

  • ahaha this is so kool

  • Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I had to watch this several times!

  • Ah huhhhh!

  • elvis...king of em all!

  • Thats cool.

  • ohh! it's amazing!!!!!!

  • for those who dont know...this is a cut-n-paste promo ad for Radio 2...it's put together from 100s of original live performance footage...done so well it looks like all these guys are actually on stage at the same time...they weren't...some were dead, some were living...and none were ever on the same stage at the same time

  • amazing spot. Crow on Bass?

  • change crow for flea and it'd be better, still a great idea though!

  • that`s stupid, flea's slap is good for funk, but just don't fit with Elvis rock & roll. Cliff Burton or Geddy Lee would be better choices.

  • I reckon he could adapt his playing

  • Sheryl Crowe on bass wtf?!

  • She's a professional bassist, and she can play it very well.

  • who did that voice!?? cool!!!

  • Toller Clip mal ganz was anderes von Elvis

  • Funny and clever! but would not be my choices...

  • very clever

  • purple harpoon dude, appreciate it for what it is. this is a very well made advert and portrays exactly what it is designed to!

lighten up hombre. the arts shalln't die.

  • what ?

  • WOAW!!! AWESOME COOL ;-)

  • Waste of money.

They should have given the money to some charity.

    Or even better, to me.

The idea is pretty foolish... all they are saying is that they play a variety of music.

But so do a lot of radio stations.

All they are really saying is that they have so much money but they'd rather waste it than help people who need it.

  • Oh that was PURE COOL! I would have put Leslie West (From the group MOUNTAIN.. best song Mississippi Queen) on guitar and that joint would be KICKIN!!! Elvis' original band was the best of its time, including teh Beatles... but we all know if Elvis was here now, he would be playing with the best of today. Elvis would make Michael Jackson look like a FOOL on the dance floor though!!

  • Hello. Ypu are mssing tihe point here it is for BBC Radio 2 which is the middle of the road national radio station for the UK so it's not meant to be the best band ever: it's meant to be a wide selection - though by not putting in Billy Joel or Barry Manilow they have gone for a cool selection -- and tried to get the appeal to different age groups right. Looks amazing.

  • Sheryll Crow on bass? fucking travesty.

  • Probably a lot, but then again we'd all be charging that much if we had the copyright to a rare Elvis recording and this is a much better way to spend our Lisence fee than some of the dross the BBC have been churning out of late.

  • Even if this line-up really existed it wouldn't have been anymore magical than the already great band Presley had. They were the best backing band anyone could ask for and Elvis being the greatest singer ever made it the best concert ever.

  • love this ad, just imagine what they could do. must have been a nightmare deciding who to and who not to put in. eg... no hendrix???

  • It's a simple fun T.V commerical. You could go on forever. No Beatles? No Dylan? No Kenny Rogers? No Diana Ross? No Eagles? No Stones? No Bee Gees? etc etc ... take it for what it is.

  • Can you imagine if such a line-up really existed? I mean the best of the best. Okay..maybe on guitar instead of Noel Galagher Sheryll Crow someone like Paul Mc Cartney/John Lennon or even Pete Townsend.

Such a lineup would blow even a Live-Aid line-up away.

BBC2 made a fantastic video of this commercial!

  • Very clever and very talented Artists but Elvis` original Band was the best. Our King will be in our heart and souls forever.

  • was this comercial peiced together or was this a real concert. I hope it is real, wow! If it is a real concert where can i get it? what is it called?

  • Omg, you can't be serious!

    1) Look at all the other comments!! If you don't know, then check them because there's alway a chance of finding the answer!

    2) Most of these musicians weren't even alive at the same time as each other, or if they were they were either very old or very young! Shows how much you know about music... Jeez.

  • dear crazyeddyfreak, I was just kidding. Jeez

  • Sugababes MAKE this

  • The rights alone to use all those stars had to have cost a small fortune...amazing !

  • Shame Tommy Cooper did the vocals....

  • That was great!

  • where is this from? tv add?

  • In UK. Notice the Radio 2 at the end.

  • This an ad for for BBC Radio 2

  • he is the best and what would it be like if this line up was really on stage with him? he makes everyone look good.

  • What a hell of a job, He's still alive...maybe not in flash n blood, but in everything else he still lives on.
