I've often wondered if it is possible to take any files from MS Flight Sim and put them into Train Sim? That is of course if both sims were written in the same year. Perhaps scenery or buildings or even computer generated air traffic that would show planes flying over. Has anyone ever done this?

Not saying that pendolino is crap but the one that comes with the WCML add on is better. It has better sounds and is more realistic. It comes as Intercity but there's somthing you can download for free from UKTS that changes it to Virgin. (file ID 17554)

@73129Dude Well I don't know why. All yo should need to do to make the train move is:

1. Set the reverser forward (W)

2. Set headlights

3. Move the combined power handle to around 10% and gradually move it to 100%

4. If it still dosn't move make sure the pantograph is up. If it isn't, press P

hi m8 just bought my first train sim apart from trainz classics3.....railworks.....so i got newcastle to yorks modern add on......do i install railworks.....then install the addon....and they both automaticly work 2gether after i download steam.....so when i go in2 railworks it gives me the add on route in the menu.....and railworks has the BR and first great western liveries 4 the hst.....will my newcastle 2 york game change those 2 xc, GNER & national express?

@Ishigumba There is an addon to get Euston, WCML London-Birmingham, But if i were you i wouldnt get this game, Railworks is so much better, graphics routes etc are better.

Try to write en google trains fro mts and there you have it!!

Search a good page, select a train and dowload it

You have to have winrar or a similar Unzipping program to unzip the files into a folder in MTS wich is called "trains", you extract there the train dowloaded and it should work!!

Or sometimes the zip has an exe, you open that exe and install the train...

And that's all!!

You can't master flight simulator, unless you're flying with default planes offline. Try something like the level-d 767 on VATSIM.

MSTS was released in 2001, FSX was released in 2006, MSTS has never fallen dead as thousands and thousands of advanced add-ons have been created for it. Microsoft is in fact making MSTS 2 which is based on the things they used in FSX. MSTS is considered not dead seeing when it came out and what's come out of it.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm also a huge plane enthusiast and I wish I had FSX as well even if it might crash my computer :P.

It is a bit difficult at first but if you look on the left hand side you can see the CD-ordering link. If you click it you can see all of the items they have for you to buy. The CDs generally come with a route, loads of stock and activities which install easily.

I can't think of any commercial ones for that area but you might want to look on UKTrainsim as there are lots of UK routes on there you can either download or buy on a CD.

As far as I know there are only 2 parts - Part 1) London to Birmingham and 2) Cross City line which isn't really WCML but Redditch to Lichfield Trent Valley. I'd imagine the journeys are pretty accurate time-wise but having never gone on the WCML south of Birmingham I can't say for sure.

Well it's one of a few that can run at the fastest speed on the network of 125mph although the Pendolinos were actually designed to go 140mph - only problem is they ran out of money to upgrade the West Coast Main Line that they run on to the required standard.

The fastest trains in Britain are the Eurostars at 186mph although they are on their own special line.

ok rite ill help firstly download the train and firstly install the files to your desktop ok,(make sure u have winrar ready to use)click the folder with your download in it and there will be a readme file,read that first!next install all the files in the downloaded folder to the trainset folder to get to that go tomy computer,local disk,microsoft games,train simulator,trains,trainset and put the folder in there when youve done that send me a message and ill help you with the next bit
