there goes the bbc repeating the same old crap tale about atheists being obviously hollow dummies. because if you don't have an invisible dude to tell you things, you have nothing, right?
...so, in a way, turning to violence because of religious beliefs (not the only reason for violence, but for the sake of this argument) is actually regressing to the core of natural selection, making itself a product of it and and proving that it should belong to an early time in human evolution.
Why isn't such stuff thought in schools?
