Biden really brought it to this debate. He parries Thompson's every move with ease, never over-blinking or resorting to heavy handed throat-clearing tactics. You can tell he gets nervous after Thompson takes a sip from the styrofoam cup but he rolls his eyes to the left in response which gets a chuckle out of Anderson Cooper. Great job Joe!

I think Fred's plan made more sense, but his make-up artist did not do as good a job. Consequently, he is left to look more pale. In this world of superficial voters, that made the difference in this debate. Fox News had Frank Luntz, the pollster, showing the "reaction lines" where an audience reacted with each comment. Fred's positive line shot up at 1:55, but Biden ended up "high" with his counter point at 2:24.
