Arch why do they wear red instead of white. Why did the church have so much to say about war and policy ?You can see the brain washing taking place here. This is what I had to listen to when I was young. Fear tactics proaganda lies this arch looks evil. Wearing red. Preaching gospel without a bible in sight. Or is he teaching war with satan at his side ? If you did not agree with this B/S back then. They called you a commy or a hippy. These were dark times in our past.

Red symbolizes the willingness to shed blood for the faith. White would show "perfection", so only you should be wearing that. He doesn't have a bible at his side because he doesn't need it. He knows the bible front and back. After all, the Catholic Church compiled the bible. Thousands of protestants have the bible by their side yet they do not agree with one another on what it means.

The concept of Peace Zone at home and War Zone in non-communist states is so similar to the Islamic concept of House of Peace/Dar al Salaam and House of War/Dar al Harb! Anyone who thinks that Communism is dead has got to be crazy. Actually, communism has put on the garb of "democracy". Where is the democracy in a world manipulated by the rich and powerful, where data is collected and kept in supercomputers, where freedoms are being taken away one at a time through the employment of terrorism?

@bombuchu Beck's not crazy. He's just concerned and worried. And he ought to be. There are sinister forces that seek to destroy the country and we're all letting them do it by not taking up the fight. We have abjured our own responsibilities to others who have similarly abrogated them.  I do agree that perhaps he borrowed from Archbishop Sheen, because he was Catholic once himself. But I don't think he's crazy.

@nuntym First, I agree with your arguments; however, keto is what the internet users like to call a "troll". He is a human who needs God's love like everyone else, but he, like all internet trolls, enjoys starting arguments and spreading discord. Internet users agree that trolls should not be "fed" counter-arguments. Just be careful with keto since he might start spamming the comment section with this "Sheen is a homo" junk. The only thing you can do is to pray for him.

He really loved the US armed forces. Loved 'em to death in Vietnam, defending what started out as a Catholic missionary colony, until it got too hot for him.

Archbishop Sheen is currently up for canonization to become a Saint!

I am totally for him becoming a Saint his homilys from the 40's 50's 60' and 70's are so ture that we can relate to them today!

I served on the front lines for many years in the Marines and I love Archbishop Sheen because he had a love for the military and those who serve.

Amen 77PhoenixFire77. He is a saint whether or not he is canonized or not. Although I was young when he was on air, I still remember the respect and admiration he was given by my parents when he preached on television. Now that I am older I can appreciate him even more!
