How complicated is it to swap a VR6 into a chassis normally setup for a 2.0? My Mk3 is so rusted out its beyond repair. I have the only Golf VR6 in my area so I can't just buy a new car (I can't stand the lack of power in a 2.0).
@chewser117 Unless you really know what you're doing its pretty friggin tough. I'm in the same boat as you bro; I've got myself an 8v and its slow as shit, I know. But a vr swap is not easy, especially (no offense) since you're asking how hard it is. Go on vwvortex . com and look it up and judge for yourself. Good luck if you do.
@troy5251 Sounded like it got oil into the valvetrain in about 3-4 seconds if you ask me. The VR6 sump is pretty strong. They didn't fuck anything up.
Why would you run mk3 management? good job not getting all available power out of it... why wouldnt you clean the bay prior to putting the engine in... Take some pride in your work and do it right the first time...
