Great verse. In studying the Bible and the Qur'an, context is very important. I see some Christians take passages out of context in the Qur'an, and Muslims do the same with the Bible.
Deuteronomy 13 applies to the government of Israel. Such laws only had jurisdiction within the borders of Israel. Jews could not enforce those laws upon other nations. The goal of Islam, in contrast, is to establish Sharia Law over whole world. Mosaic Law was restricted to Israel only.

That verse says nothing about Christianity pertaining to how to live. If you say that applies today, then animal sacrifices must also apply today. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the old law.

It is true that God does not die, if you are referring to His spirit. Jesus' spirit never died, only His body died. When humans die, there spirit seperates from their body. Without our spirit, our body is lifeless. When we die, our spirit still exist, although are body is lifeless. When Jesus died, His body died, not His spirit.
As for the drinking of the blood of Jesus and eating His flesh, that is symbolic language. Of course the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox believe it turns into the actual blood and body, but I reject the many false doctrines of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox.

its one of the two, my friend make a choice,
1.) the mosaic law applies STILL TO THIS DAY, as "jesus" himself said "not a word of it shall be deminished"
or
2) God revealed the bibel but christians arnt meant to be following it, or maybe they're only meant to follow a part of it (the part that suits their tatse)

Great verse. In studying the Bible and the Qur'an, context is very important. I see some Christians take passages out of context in the Qur'an, and Muslims do the same with the Bible.
Deuteronomy 13 applies to the government of Israel. Such laws only had jurisdiction within the borders of Israel. Jews could not enforce those laws upon other nations. The goal of Islam, in contrast, is to establish Sharia Law over whole world. Mosaic Law was restricted to Israel only.

pardon me however the verse plainly says anyone who leaves christianity shall be put to the sword, is this not in your bible? yes it is, if it only applied to israel and not modern day christians, do as many people do and tear up that passage and firmly put it in the bin if its so disagreeable.
but it was not just aplicable to israel was it? no because in the bible jesus says i have not come to abolish the old law but to reinforce it. so it still aplies. no double talk plz i know my bible :)

That verse says nothing about Christianity pertaining to how to live. If you say that applies today, then animal sacrifices must also apply today. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the old law.
The Mosaic Law is very important. It can't be discarded. It all points to the need for Christ.
When the Israelites were in exile in Bablyon, you will find no where in scripture where they upheld the civil laws in Bablyon. Why not? Because they didn't apply outside of the land of Israel.

I said it has nothing to do with Christianity pertaining to how to live, but it does have something to do with Christianity pertaining to theology. It doesn't relate to what Christians today should do or not do, but it relates to Christians in how we are to understand God, the purpose of the law, history, etc. If the law was taken out, then how would we understand what happened in the prophets (Isaiah through Malachi) and the historical books (Joshua through 2 Chronicles)?

Some parts of the Old Testament are not to be to acted upon for they don't apply to us. Other parts do apply to us, although not in the same way. Animal sacrifices are not to be acted upon, because Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrfice that these shadows of old pointed to.
(2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
Deuteronomy is profitable for teaching, but the laws don't apply today.

I deleted the post above because I responded to an old post of yours that I thought was new, but I reposted most of it below, as you can see. Under the Mosaic Law, apostates and infidels worshipping false gods in Israel had to be slaughtered. If a Jew apostatised by worshipping false gods, he could freely do so outside of Israel. The Mosaic Law doesn't command them to hunt them down outside of Israel and kill them. Only within the jurisdiction of the holy land where they to be slaughtered.

Is it okay to come to America and stone adulterers to death? Does that law apply in America? The land of Israel was a holy land given to God's people to dwell in. God also dwelled in the land in the Temple. Sin and impurity had to be dealt with, because sin and impurity defiled the land and temple, and God couldn't dwell there if sin and impurity ran rampant and was not under control. People who worshiped idols would bring defilement to the land, so they had to be slaughtered. False prophets were also to be slaughtered in Israel. Today, there is no holy land.

The Jews stumbled over the cross because they couldn't understand how God would allow the Messiah to die on a cross. The cross is a stumbling block to many Muslims for the same reason.

It is true that God does not die, if you are referring to His spirit. Jesus' spirit never died, only His body died. When humans die, there spirit seperates from their body. Without our spirit, our body is lifeless. When we die, our spirit still exist, although are body is lifeless. When Jesus died, His body died, not His spirit.

As for the drinking of the blood of Jesus and eating His flesh, that is symbolic language. Of course the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox believe it turns into the actual blood and body, but I reject the many false doctrines of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox.
