That looks like the one I used in camp and they taught me the exact same way but they told me how to position ur feet correctly and other stuff I forgot. Other then that cool video
Where could someone get a bow and arrow?and I mean the real kind, not the plastic ones with suction cup or eraser ends... B/c I'm having a pretty hard time trying to shoot those. And I can't pull the arrow all the way back b/c the arrow is too short and I'm scared I'll break the bow!
WOW notice where the arrow hits on the first camera view of his shot! He misses the paper to the right and then they get a close up of him shooting an almost bulls eye! bahahaahaha laaaame!
@MrTiefel Hi! I also dealt with this dilemma about 4 months ago when I was purchasing a bow. I am 15 years old, 6'2" and 210 lbs. I ended up purchasing the Redhead Kronik bow at BPS. I bought the 50-60 lb pull simply so I could dial the poundage back for target an dial it up for hunting. It has served me well in the short time I have used it. The Redhead bows are all made by Bowtech, so they are made with care. Happy shooting!
Hello im looking for a compound bow to start with. i am 14 years old, about 6 ft tall and 185 lbs. What would be a good compound bow with a price range of about $250-$500?
i use a beginners long bow it came with one of those finger tab things that protect your fingers but i cant figure out how to use it while my fingers wont fit in it any way
so what should i do the bow string hurts my fingers
i've had my bow for about 24 hours and I could give a better instructional video for this. Peice of advice; you want to shoot something that takes real skill? COmpound bows and awesome for hunting, if you want to go out and do some action, they ROCK. But I like traditional bows better. They take more skill and practice.
Hello Folks, just search for "PerformanceArchery". the whole series is fine for beginners and also for advanced in archery. you won`t be disapointed!
My school is shooting with those kinds of bows!!!!! Its rly fun but i suck at it :P. I need more practice. O, and im right handed but i have to pull back with my left hand cuz im left eye dominant. I thought it would b hard at first but it made everything alot easier!
@marisel20002001 unless he uses a compound that has an axle length of 44 inches or he uses a traditional bow you basically have to use a release to shoot effectively, unless his draw length is 15 inches, the vertex of the angle at the anchor point scrunches your fingers together not allowing for a god hold or release
U HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE FUCK FUCK FUCK U ARE FUCKING TALKING ABOUT !!! 3 FINGERS ON A COMPOUND BOW WITHOUT A QUICK RELEASE ???? ARE U A RETARD OR do u have MENTAL SICKNESS !??!?!
@Windflowngng This is a hybrid bow , it is a compound that shoots with the characteristics of a recurve bow. They have no set draw lenght and no break point. A recurve with the punch of a compound and is good for snap shooting at any draw length or for multiple users . Also makes a good fishing bow. They can be shot with finger draw just fine.
many people say genisis bows are gay or dis and dat and blah blah blah but its not the bow that makes the shots accurate its the shooter and i can back that up because a guy acctually went to the national championships in vegas and shot a PERFECT 300 WITH IT!!!!!!!! that just goes to show you who the real archers are and who the amateurs are
@codester2012 then you would not know that even standing 10ft away from the target if you hold the bow wrong, release wrong, rest your arrow and use different weight and length arrows changed your shot...
everybody has so many critic on this video, he is right! everybody shoots with a release these days, i know that is very accurate, but it really requires skill to shoot a bow with your fingers, i go hunting with a recurve bow and i shoot with BARE fingers, the first weeks i had blisters all over my fingers
@troodon2 i love shooting and i used a recurve with bare fingers and it hurts heaps, then i got a compound and some finger grips with it so there is leather between my fingers and the string
index above the arrow nock while middle and ring finger are below the arrow nock. this is a terrible instructional video no wonder he shoots a target 5 ft away
I am really curious on how someone that would have experience with shooting a bow and arrow with a target distance of 10 ft away could at the very least hit the bullseye. I mean even if you missed in real life, reshoot the video to show you can hit it rather than just hit the target. It kills your credibility, if you can't get the job done with it that close... Its like.. Ok you wounded the animal but now its pissed and is comin at you, so turn around and drop your bow and run!
@scgriffey If you knew anything about archery, you would realize that what he is shooting is a light bow. Light bows weigh about 5-6 pounds and are incredibly hard to be accurate with (I am a professional archer and have shot a bow just like that). He is also talking and very distracted while shooting, adding to the difficulty. I'd like to see you go out and kill an animal while talking to a camera with a bow that draws 5-6 pounds. If you can, I will be very impressed. Think before talking.
dont listen to curtiskid101 you bend your bow arm just a little bit thats what i do and i used to have the same problem curtiskid u dont know what u are talkin about
I have a compound small game bow and i keep hitting my forearm with the string, is there a way to keep my arm from bleeding after about 20 shots? Yes I know I'm an idiot.
yeah there is a way or 2 the first way is your sort of leaning to the left or right when you draw the bow back do it straight not leaned or if your doing good with the other way you can just buy a armguard there ya go and goodluck =D
You can buy an armguard for about $3 from any archery shop. The problem may be that the bow is swaying when you let go. I occasionally do the same thing, so I went with the guard.
@BadIdeas101 i know this reply is way not needed but just to let you know you can get into the habbit of bending your bow arm a little orr get a cheap arm guard to start
That looks like the one I used in camp and they taught me the exact same way but they told me how to position ur feet correctly and other stuff I forgot. Other then that cool video
