I believe all CPU's do. I cannot talk about the architecture but I can say this AMD Phenom II 940 is a multitasking beats even with 4gb of RAM. I can run Prime95 and OCCT and still browse and edit photos and not lag. This chip is gonna make AMD very respectable again.

I've bought and replaced 3 Intel chips in the past three years, that's why I'm making the switch to AMD. The performance vs quality issues with Intel is just to much for them to overcome, the truth is they can't keep up with AMD so they release trash, and this quad core and new asus board are rated very high. Performance wise it's very close. It's not the fastest at (6.5 Ghz!!!)! but at least i 'm not gonna spend 1000 dollars for another CPU that I'm gonna have to replace in 6 months.

Well until Intel i7 tops 6.5 ghz it is a lesser chip. You can make any claim you want but the truth is both Intel and amd have good and bad issues, Intel doesn't last even though the performance is high with this chip ...and is corporate run and only give a shit about profits. AMD is always right in there with Intel and sometimes is better in performance. However, AMD is "ALWAYS" better in quality. You're right it's not the same deal, it's better.

Perhaps they'd done a dry run and already established the safe operating limits of both CPU and motherboard. Maybe put the test setup in the description.

Also be interested in seeing the results for a higher base frequency/bus speed and lower multiplier, and also the reason for using a 1GHz HT speed.
