  • i like how she always shuts the dude down. "yeah yeah yeah" lolz. n she took over the conversation lolz

  • The funny thing is in 20 years most anime of today will be forgotten but their will still be batman, spiderman, and Mickey mouse just saying

  • @Ts1fangjoker False. Because its gonna take another 20 years for One Piece to end since they are only on the half now :D. And ur still talking shit because Kenshin, an anime that is made over 15 years ago is still beiing remembered and is getting a new serie...

The thing is with american cartoons. Their just to uninspired and dumb that they cant think of any other shit like batman & spiderman. And mickey wil be forgotten...

  • @Ts1fangjoker Lol there are still remakes of dbz

  • Many years from now, fans and haters alike are going to look at this stuff and say "Boy, were we stupid."

  • @OfficalBlairYugiohGX one of the greatest cartoons of all time is avatar the last airbender which was inspired by anime.

  • I equally love cartoons and anime... but now these days anime is sorta more into the sexual... i lost interest in anime and gone back to watching funny cartoons and old disney movies :P lol... i only draw anime

  • @hanna456 Anime is way easier to draw than cartoons. Cartoons use more realistic to their art than anime does.

  • @futureanimatior yhhhh i still love both though but i cant draw cartoon for shit! xDD and Anime can be realistic if they want to. My style is closer to that except still animeish

  • @hanna456: I can draw a cartoon character it's easy, it's based on unrealism...

  • @Pinochimon lol yeah i kinda decided to draw cartoon for a bit and its a lot easier... i was thinking of more the Marvel kind of cartoon if u know what i mean

  • @futureanimatior

Are you kidding me? Cartoons are way easier to draw. I can draw Elmer Fud and bugs bunny perfectly in 30 sec. And Most cartoons are NOT realistic. Some but not all anime are drawn more realistically. And for me its a lot harder too......

It takes me a while to get anime drawings right.

  • @fromstart2finish I was talking about Disney classic art if you draw an entire scene it takes a lot of talent to master it because of the details in both the characters and the backgrounds. But there are some anime that is harder to draw. I guess it just depends I know it's hard to draw an entire scene from Spirited Away because the backgrounds are so realistic.

  • ANIME AAALLL THE WAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    lol

  • Cartoons are unique too however anime and cartoons are both alike and unalike.

In anime it USUALLY combines Violence, humor, action, and usually pointed to the more older audiences

In cartoons it USUALLY combines Violence, innocent humor, and is usually pointed to the more younger audiences.

    both have pros and cons

    In other words

Anime > Cartoons (What I think)

    however

Anime = Cartoons (The actual fair judgement)

  • @megaman12521

wrong. anime is really more for everybody while cartoons is getting towards that.

  • @Dramactica ok so show inuyasha, bleach, and black bible to kids? mmk....your belief not mine

  • @megaman12521

No. American anime companies license it and put it on TV. There are shows for kids like hack dot sign/Power Rangers (Japan version), of course Pokemon, and many kids shows in Japan that you never heard of.

  • In General Anime are for teenager while cartoons are for kids

  • few of animax dubs are better than US dubs.

  • @IceMario92 yup! good you mentioned superjail! thats a good show!

  • in anime the story and characters are lame as hell i mean look at naruto, hes a fucking jap ninja???!!! an orange clothed ninja with yellow spikey hair and blue eyes doing all kinds of magic crap.... that doesn make any sense... and still its popular...WTF_____________________

  • anime from japan is better animated.

  • @xy274 big glinstering eyes covering up 2/3 of the face... yeah thats indeed better animated...-.-

  • @sm0keshell yeah they're better animated. Compare the fight scenes from animes to the cartoons here in the US. The majority of the things the Japanese animators make are better animated. I like how you take something that has little to do with animating. BIG EYES...OOOO INDEED. But i do agree with the last part of your comment. ..."better animated".

  • eh comics have better art work but it take a month for a new one to come out alot of comic books have bad plots and charters but comic books have alot of well known charters to like spider-man,batman,thor,superman,green lanter, flash, captain america, fantastic four, iron man, deadpool, teen titans,dr doom, the x men,and magneto.manga have good charters like goku, naruto, ichigo,l,Spike Spiegel, and ect

  • i watch 20 epsodes a day u noobs

anyways indians talking about anime is cool

  • if so why does the comic book cartoons in america so crappy compared to to anime. That shit looks like nothing in the comic book art.............

  • y u think marvel had to become disney's bitch, cartoons just arent as important to americans as it is to japs u r more srs about cartoons u go and watch jap cartoons this is not a bash on nerds and otakus wut im saying here is that jap cartoons are generally have more effort put into them no matter wut u think but and u.s. has better basketball and football teams and entertainment just see it like that

  • ppl that like US cartoons more than jap ones probably only watched the old jap cartoons that are actually the same style as the old 80s he-man and thundercats

oh and btw transformers was created by the japs hasbro bought it off them japs rlly take their cartoons srsly its probably some major in their colleges to learn how to make them america cant compete so stop trying to compare to americans in general cartoons r just for kids, japs take their cartoons more srsly u cant compare just stop

  • yeah that is one of the good things comming out of marvel today, however I just wish that animators with a freakin imagination would come back and make good cartoons with kickass characters, good design quality and quality animation and series that can spark people to watch it for its aesthetic value ... even some say japaneses animation is " lazy" animation, id say our animators are lazier these days by comparison.

  • dont anime and cartoons mean the same thing but are from different countries?

  • @MannyFresh1254 yeah we need to remember its all cartoon after all..

  • anime wins!

  • I just wish japan would go back to making more meaningful / original anime series rather than this new mass produced fan-service shit.. ;(

  • fact is japan kicks americas ass at animation these days, its industry may be suffering but it wont forever. though both east and west need to create some better series...

  • You are wrong,in terms of animation anime aren't that animated, if you put you hand on the mouth thingy you will notice its a voice with a picture.

  • @crissxxx I seriously dont feel like going through this debate again. japan just has a different style of animation than we do. i notice they do have a lot of stills, however the stills are too illustrate drama, or a serious moment between characters. honestly in my opinion, aside from animation alone even the average anime is better than most of the crap that america is putting out...

  • @crissxxx eh iv been doing some more researching so far as the issue, and you do have a valid point, more valid than that other idiot i was arguing with however it depends on the anime, studio and budget.. ive seen some really good animated animes, and some REALLY shitty ones.

  • Well the truth is japanese media makes a lor of recycling, I mean how many animes aren't there where their figures are the same just the diffrent haircut, color, chlotes and skin tone. Its like using templates, you just change the filling but the lines are the same.

  • @crissxxx true.. however ive seen some where they use design style, but a lot of mainstream animes use the same freakin style of designing characters... old school cartoons had more diverse style, thats what i like about western animation though. I guess its just cultural differences...

  • Plus I forgot to add that the japanese artists use less frames per second so they can draw the pictures better. However the US styles focuses more on a caricature animation then a realistic one.

  • @crissxxx thats pretty interesting. I read on a couple sites that they also use less frame rates per second cus that was how much their television supported. however I like the way america-well used too) and japan animate their cartoons. I just wish that america would make better animated cartoons these days :( so im not completely bagging on western animation..

  • Well it takes a longer time to have a good frame rate and picture detail.Us sacrifice detail for framerate and Japan sacrifice framerate for detail.

  • @crissxxx so its kinda like a fair trade, on both sides..

  • besides if anime is such low quality and crappy stories and america is "soo" superior"why do have they animated a some of our series by them? hence super robot monkey team hyper force go, and transformers animated? if our animation is soo great then why couldnt we animate those shows ourselves?as well as well as the new series symbionic titan which is heavily inspired by mecha anime.

  • @th3azscorpio

Ok really,10 comments in my inbox is not good.

Come back and talk to me when you can rebut any of the 9 points that I sent because repeating myself in 20 comments isn't working apparently.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles its about time you realize the truth. same goes to you.. youve just sending the same repetive weak argument from the very get go. bout time though..move on

  • @th3azscorpio

Bullshit until you can counter my points.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles i smashed your points! if you want the actual evidence research a lot of my statements in "google" in case you just wanted to get sooo technical about it..

  • @th3azscorpio

Reply to me in my PM to you your evidence then.

I didn't make you dig through mountains of google searches for my evidence.

  • @th3azscorpio

And if my argument was so weak why didn't you counter any of my points?

Such a sad anime fan. Blowing smoke in denial that he is happily killing what he loves.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles i didnt counter your points, I fuckin smashed them with enough evidence to last for years. it was your bullshit weak ass points, and biased wishful thinkin so call "facts". youve got a lot to learn!

  • @th3azscorpio

    LOL

You didn't reply to me in my PM to you with your "fucking counters".

You've shown me no evidence. Just your "common sense" which doesn't equal evidence.

    Papers,News articles,nothing.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles i did reply, in the comments on this video! lol i used both common sense, a taste of logic and a tablespoon of evidence! Ive done my reasearch on animation and analyzed both sides of the argument, before making my original opinion. haha

  • @th3azscorpio

Common Sense and evidence don't go together.

PM. Me. Your. Evidence. Like. I. Did. For. You.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles my evidence is in the comments, read through them again so you can get it clear. common sense is the bridge to logic. ive already proved my point. go do your research on google little girl.. and pull another mountain of information out of your ass based off my facts..

  • @th3azscorpio

And now you're just pulling stings.

If you have such wonderful facts you should be able to oh I dunno....find some news articles or blogs reports about your facts.

Because you know,it's nice to have support from professional sources to make it look like your facts aren't opinion.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles lol ive done my reasearch so far as american animation. just go look up a lot of american animated series. i dont have to pull a bunch of articles out of my ass just to look professional. my original comment that I posted about 20 pages back was a clearly truthful opinion. go on google and reasearch a lot of american animated works and japanese. you started this whole thing based off a poorly biased opinion. next please

  • @th3azscorpio

"i dont have to pull a bunch of articles out of my ass just to look professional."

Pathetic excuse for not showing me where you're getting these facts from.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles my facts are in the statements in this video.. peace out

  • @th3azscorpio Because animators are lazy in America lol XD

  • @futureanimatior hell yes they are lol! as an aspiring animator hopefully one day we'll change that...

  • @th3azscorpio And I think it's for sure that animators don't read enough comics because there are pleanty of comics that would of made awesome cartoons.

  • @futureanimatior hell yes! theres soo much inspirational ideas out there yet they waste time and money on bullshit ideas.. and cause of that cartoons have lost there good quality!

  • @th3azscorpio Mhm like I personally think they could of made Hellboy into a good animated series same with this other comic book about this samurai rabbit I think it's called Usagi Yojimbo it's a very good series. But yeah they need to start looking at popular comics to animate.

  • @futureanimatior they did actually! it was pretty good but soo underrated! they could make so many good series but animators these days just dont apply themselves to their fullest potential..

  • @th3azscorpio Yeah I know I mean I seen Marvel is getting more comics turned into cartoons since Disney bought them. But other companies deserve cartoons of their comics as well. Just hopefully one day it will all change.

  • @th3azscorpio support your team or fuck off

  • @sm0keshell lmfao! where did this come from?

  • @sm0keshell lol and what team are you referring to?

  • @th3azscorpio the west

  • @sm0keshell I can support whatever team I choose whether it's japan or america. if you got a problem with that, you can fuck off..simple as that..

  • @th3azscorpio yeah indeed, now fuck off you douchebag shoo shoo back to your prideless cave

  • @sm0keshell lemme guess another anime-hating troll who will jump on anyone who likes anime and doesn't share the same biased viewpoint. like for real jump off..

  • @th3azscorpio indeed. and you are one of those people who think they are very open minded ... now guess what you dont.

  • @sm0keshell Im open minded as in I like and appreciate both sides.. now honestly troll, get off and computer and get a life please?

  • @th3azscorpio you are an ignorant fool sir

  • @th3azscorpio I totally agree with you. I think a great example of that is Batman: Gotham Knight. It was a movie based on short batman stories. Some were animated by Japanese while others American. The Japanese ones were so beautiful and breath taking, while the American ones were ugly in comparison and felt silly overall.

  • @animequeen2143 lol really? I was thinking of watching it too! I saw clips of the japanese animated parts and yes they were very breathtaking, and beautifully drawn.

  • sure a lot of animes that are produced today have very low quality animation since a lot of it produced today for quantity, but there are still a lot of nicely animated anime series. there area few nicely animated american series and a lot of really shitty ones that give western animation a bad name.aside from animation alone, japanese are really good on storytelling, design, characters and depth, american cartoons well not so much these days used to be good at humor, art, and incredible plots.

  • there are tons of people who arent techniqually anime fans who have fallen in love with the art form. why because the characters were relate-able as well as the strong stories that draw people in. I have yet to see on american animation today reach that level of depth, or complexity. and by the way 4 of your links did not even work..

  • @th3azscorpio

    Which links?

Trying too hard to be complex is a bad thing, btw.

  • aside from the animation alone, anime just has far superior quality of storytelling, and plot development, better characters as well as great design, and the style differs from anime to anime.

  • @th3azscorpio

Story is nothing if you do not animate well.

If you're going to focus only on story, make a book, the only medium where story is the only thing that matters.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles high quality animation or not, there have been cartoons series and anime in the past that didnt use the best animation and were still works of art based off there quality storytelling. all the animation and special effects means nothing if your story is not well developed. a well developed story and good characters cancel out animation if their developed strong... thats exaclty why wester animation of the present day is falling out of favor, and lost its entertainment value..

  • @th3azscorpio

And all of your story telling is crap if it's not animated well.

Again,if you are not going to animate well then make a book. What a waste of paper and time if you're not even going to bother.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles nicktoons even has a new anime inspired show on it, even cartoon networks new symbionic titan is inspired by anime mecha, most likely evangelion. the animation is very good and for once is equals the quality of the story. ive known anime haters to sit down and watch unique series and fall in love with them based off the story.. good animation is pointless if your story is crap and does not measure up..

  • @th3azscorpio

Again, you are wasting paper if you're not going to animate.

The only medium where story is the only thing that matters is books,NOT animation. Animation is to bring to life, not still and slide.

Disney/Pixar could come up with the most wonderful story for a movie ever thought up in the history of the world, but bet your ass that movie would fail if it had substandard animation.

Story and Animation should be equal. Not one over the other.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles animation is to bring to life, as well as tell a visual story about whats going on. there are plenty of series in the past both american and anime that have wonderful stories and not so great animation. this is exactly why more cartoons are scrapped before they start or not long after. pixar is one of the best producers of cgi animated films, along with some of dream works on and off hits.

  • @th3azscorpio

And Pixar/Dreamworks is very Animation = Story

    Cartoons still have relative stories.

Just not int 1million episode season 50 format.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles in a documentary made back in 07 about pixar, one of the lead directors stated the reason disney closed the doors sadly to its handrawn animation studios is because the "stories" werent strong and they didnt grab the audience, however they were nicely animated movies. so that just goes to show that even if the animation is good it does not mean shit if the story is garbage...

  • @th3azscorpio

Would very much like a link to said documentary.

    Story can = animation.

    Story > Animation,not good.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles thats the very reason why western cartoons are falling from grace. if you want the documentary just type in the pixar story on google or watch it on msnbc. cartoons are ass backwards in their development. it does not matter how high quality the animation is or how glossy something looks it doesnt mean shit if the story is bad. there are some not so welly animated cartoon and anime series out there, however they had strong stories, plots, character that speak 4 themselves

  • there once was a time when the west made incredible cartoons with welly executed plots and storylines- namely the late 80s and 90s but not these days. you cant compare cartoons these days to anime the differences are too vast and one is one the money..

  • @th3azscorpio

The differences are not that vast.

Both are in the same fields of animation targeting the same (on some levels) audiences.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles um no there not, i dont know what kind of fantasy land your living in, but the two are on totally different pages. anime has a larger target group and many vast genres, and sub genres which is why its popularity climbing still. anime is better in soo many ways..

  • @th3azscorpio

    No it is not.

Again,if it is so much better explain why the industry as a whole IS FAILING FINANCIALLY.

Why do most animes cut corners in their animation?

Why is pirating so damaging to the industry that they have to go to anime-cons to tell fans that they should watch less fan-subs and actually buy the subs made by the creators.

You claim anime is so great and yet you can't answer why it is failing so hard these days.

  • japans uses lower frame rates because it supports their tvs only run on a certain amount of frames, americas is higher because our standard televisions run at that level. overall i must say you gave a very weak argument in the defense of western animation. I have yet to see one american cartoon that can match the quality of japanese. anime ftw!

  • @th3azscorpio

Dear god,I didn't want to say this but you are getting ignorant.

I told you where I was getting my facts from. again Google "Anime industry" and seach up "Why anime sucks 1/2/3" on youtube to see my facts.

You're the one with the weak argument here, claiming that animes are shit because of Japanese televisions. (LOL)

Having pretty pictures doesn't mean it's animated better.

They spend so much time on "detail" that they don't bother even trying to animate.

  • if anything its america that puts quantity ahead of quality. the lack of quality shows in everything from entertainment, music, cars, television and of all things cartoons...

  • @th3azscorpio

    Fucking hilarious.

There are more animes churned out than American cartoons.

American cartoons are doing well while animes are failing in their industry.

They try to churn out so many a year not realizing that churning out that many will lower their value.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles whats even more hilarious is your complete fucking ignorance that shows every time you make a fucking comment. if american series are doing soo well why are half the cartoons that are produced on cartoon network and nickelodeon canned before they start or barley make it past five years?

  • @th3azscorpio

    WTF are you talking about?

I already explained that CN/Nickelodeon dump cartoons for life action because it's cheaper.

There are other networks that show multiple cartoon series.

And FYI: They are still showing cartoons (adventure time anyone?)

Funny, most new animes don't make is financially to a second season.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles and why do you think their dumping their cartoons huh? cus there stupid, crappy quality and are becoming more and more repetitive.

there still showing adventure time cus quiet frankly it is a rare gem, along with sym bionic titan. if animes dont make it past its second season then why are they still airing bleach, kekkaishi, and full metal alchemist, nick even picked up dragon ball Z -against many peoples best interest..

  • @th3azscorpio

    Again,they are NOT CRAP quality.

They are dumping them for the same reason they dumped hand-drawn animation. Cheaper and more effective.

    Again,Adventure Time,T.U.F.F Puppy,all new shows that haven't been canned.

Not only that but old shows like Spongebob are still getting new episodes.

So no,American cartoons aren't failing because of Live action.

Because they are cash-cow animes that don't require any new material to be good.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles YES they are.. many people would beg to differ, so you only speak for yourself on that one.. cheaper and more effective does not make it better.. when it comes to quality and effort in western animation, its quantity over quality. it shows from everything to cartoons, music, television, cars we manufacture.. most cartoons fail these days becasue they suck, and live action is the only kids would watch even though they suck too..

  • @FerretTheFuzzles t.u.f.f puppy and adventure time havent been canned yet, and besides those two shows come on nicktoons network not the central one. cartoons these days are just cheap quantity over quality with poor designs. spongebobs been getting new episodes because it still has high enough viewer ratings to sustain itself, besides there's been some talk about nick pulling the plug in 2011. spongebob was good until 2005, and most cartoons today are constantly under the threat of being canned

  • Comment removed

  • the fact is we could debate this all year long, but its really a matter of opinions. both have their pros and cons, anime more pros than cons. a lot of people prefer anime to cartoons for their creativity and HIGHER QUALITY ANIMATION, and better storylines with substance- three things american cartoons lack. more cartoons here are canned than successful here. one more thing, until the day i see a western animation match cowboy bebop or ruroni kenshin anime FTW

  • @th3azscorpio

I am using facts (again,go google "anime industry" and look up Why anime sucks 1/2/3 on youtube if you don't believe me.) Dunn where you're getting the word "opinion" in this convo.

And LOL again for the last time,20 second still frames and low FPS is NOT HIGH QUALITY.

Cookie-cutter human characters with fangirl attractive personalities are NOT CREATIVE.

Everyone being over-powered and having emo pasts is NOT A BETTER STORYLINE.

You're not 7-12. Cartoon storylines are not-

  • @FerretTheFuzzles japan uses lower frame rates becasue it supports the standard for television in japan americas is higher because thats our standard. anime is higher quality for it detail, art and smoother animation period. just because the anime industry has started cutting corners to save money with lower frame rates dont just generalize it all into the same catagory. It depends on the studio and their budget, some have higher quality, some lower.

  • @th3azscorpio

Low budget? yes. But they are constantly using that excuse as a crutch to not animate.

You do the best with what you have. Stop making 100's of cookie cutter animes and make just one nicely done and animated...anime.

"japan uses lower frame rates becasue it supports the standard for television in japan americas is higher because thats our standard. "

    .....

I think I've done my job here.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles yes i must say that 85% of anime comming out today are cookie cutter, unoriginal crap, but like I said it depends on what series your looking at.. if your looking at shows like fullmetal alchemist, dead leaves, revolionary girl utena, and ergo proxy those are a few of the really good series. with very good animation.. dont just generalize a entire genre based off the crappy series that are out now... there are many gems out there, namely hyao miyazki films. my job here is done

  • @th3azscorpio

You're trying to clump up storyline with animation.

It's useless to have a great storyline and low quality animation.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles no its not, and the fans can clearly speak for themselves.. there are some crappy animated animes that have incredible stories, and with a good story the animation dosent look half bad anymore. in western animation they neglect good stories, and good details which is why cartoons "these" days toss donkeys salad.

  • @th3azscorpio

The same fans that pirate 100's of episodes for free on the internet so they don't have to pay jack-shit to the original creators?

And again, those "good animes" are still in the same failing industry.

We keep stories simple, which makes American animations more flexible.

Animes try so hard to be complex that they fail.

I shouldn't have to dig into the heads of 5 different characters to understand only 1/4 of the plot for 25 episodes.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles animes are complex which is what keeps people interested. neon genisis evangelion is still one of the most successful selling animes ever made and akira.. maybe there just complex cus you cant understand them. fans pirate episode to bypass the all the crappy american dub shit, and well because they like it, besides most anime dvds are expensive as hell.. the anime industry just needs to get smarter in marketing there stuff thats all...

  • @th3azscorpio

Ring-around the rosy plots with over-powered characters are not complex.

Animes try to be philosophical but anyone watching it with a critical mindset can see that this is bullshit.

Plots are either overly drawn out or use filler crap between episodes.

Without that "American dub shit" your precious anime wouldn't have any support to keep up it's industry.

Fans like you who ignore the current situation with anime are just putting more nails in it's coffin.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles ring around the rosy?lol thats a funny statement considering how america makes the same cartoons with the same plots that fail miserably. animes are philisophical because it reflects the views and values of their culture, thats in every anime. that shows your ignorance its highest degree. some plots uses shitty fillers some dont. im very aware of the situation and some fans are stepping up to help it out. either way your argument is weak..

  • @th3azscorpio

    I pm'd you.

Read it if your attention span is long enough.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles attention span, and debatable facts surpasses yours..

  • @th3azscorpio

So you admit that my facts and links backing up my statements were too much for you to handle.

Thank you for self-defeating yourself. Since you didn't even address my points in said PM that I sent you.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles like I said your not telling me something i dont already know. it also depends on where your getting your facts, rather than just some narrow-minded fuck with an opinion. your probly just some 12 year old kid, who spent 30 mins researching your shit to back up your facts rather than just using some info with common sense..

  • @th3azscorpio

If you already knew why didn't you send any rebuttal to my points?

And if you're so full of "info and common sense" why DIDN'T you give a rebuttal to the 9 points I sent you in that PM?

I'm backed up with facts. what are you backed up with? Opinion?

  • @FerretTheFuzzles not all animes have fangirl type personalities like I fucken said before it depends on what crap your watching, this is less likely in more adult series. anime is more creative, and inspiring. there is such a vast amount of genres anime and manga can cover, and nothing is really taboo which is why it is appealing to a lot of people in the west. cartoons have lost their creative touch and their ability to appeal to mass audiences of people. all animes are not about emo past.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles that statement about over-powered emo past is based purely off ignorance. animation here is mostly directed at kids and even kids barely watch them. even most adult animation is not truely adult, with the exception of south park..anime can appeal to more mass groups of people which is why american animation is loosing its favor to it.

  • @th3azscorpio

supposed to be severely complex for your age group. K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple,Stupid) is what makes american cartoons more flexible to the market compared to having to sit through 24 story plot based episodes of an anime.

Anime lacks "pros" with technical animation, and many fans have seen this. (again, from the comments on the news articles about the anime industry, many are complaining about what I've been talking about >_>.)

  • @FerretTheFuzzles according to what rule book do you have to abide by a certain rules and standards for animation? thats whats holding animators back today and why anime is taking over. american animators hold a certain prejudice toward the foreign art form when really they ought to be taking notes.. the anime industry may be suffering right now but its because of the depression in japan, there economy is just as bad as ours and this isnt the first time this is happened!

  • @FerretTheFuzzles besides look at south park, it dosent really follow any rules of animation and today combines many types, by many its not considered animation, but its one of the most popular shows to date..keep it simple and stupid is why american cartoons are loosing their way and becoming less favorable. people are gettin tired of the same old repetitive plots with dumbass characters and pc humor. quite frankly this debate is over..

  • @th3azscorpio

And yet animes run around over-powered character plots with fan-girlish personalities.

Fans like you who can't accept reality are one of the reasons why anime is failing.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles ok i already know that anime industry is suffering right now, but thats is largely due to the economy over here and in the east. you cannot just fucking take two fucking anime series can generalize the entire genre as fangirl and shit. i know you wont realize this cus your soo high up on your family guy and crapjack, but its ignorant americans like you who cant see the fuckin logic and why western animation is loosing its favor..

  • @th3azscorpio

You call me ignorant and yet you assume I'm american.

    Double Standards much?

And again, anime has been suffering for years, this isn't new.

The proof is in the pudding, meaning their lack-luster,low FPS,cut-corners animation.

And I have seen multiple animes.

ALL of them used the same cheap tricks.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles yeah cus you display the same ignorance and stupidity as most americans.. the anime industry has had its ups and downs, but at least its still going and producing stuff that people actually would want to see. i see your still using that bullshit excuse low fps and cutting corners. they use the same

"high" quality animation that we use here for more bigger productions they just take the time to add more quality.

  • @th3azscorpio

You tell me not to clump all animes together and yet you're clumping all Americans together on the same boat.

Your double standards are proof that you can't come up with anything substantial to explain why animes are failing as an industry while they are popular on the internet(NEWS FLASH: Piracy!)

American cartoons don't beat the whiplash effect to death,or have characters with magically long growing hair to cover up their faces when they look down.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles um no... your just gettin mad cus im making better points than you.. i did not say "all". read the past comments when i said that adventure time and sym bionic titan were two rare gems and superjail. as well as when i defended old school cartoons. animes are being viewed online to bypass all the bullshit editing and (NEWS FLASH shitty dubs!)cartoons "these days suck ass plain and simple their repetitive, there getting old and they lack design

  • @th3azscorpio

Again, people like you are killing what you love.

So America shouldn't be supporting Japanese anime by dubbing?

Pirating episodes sure as hell isn't generating any revenue

  • @FerretTheFuzzles on that shit you sent me on the joseph show, he attacks fans more so than the actual artform. japan uses the same type of animation used in higher quality productions here, they just do it differently. well the western side needs to get some better voice actors.

  • @th3azscorpio

    LOL

You're mixing his humor with his factual statements.

And again,I sent you 9 reasons showing that Animes cut corners and you didn't respond to them.

So really, where is this "HQ anime" that you speak of?

  • @FerretTheFuzzles anime does cut some corners but the methods between the way we animate and the way the animate are different. besides he's just like you, he uses bullshit to generalize a whole genre.

  • @th3azscorpio

His "bullshit" is fact. I don't see you posting any facts to shoot down any of his points.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles where because he's coming from the same perspective that you are, so there is really nothing to debate...

  • @th3azscorpio

Perspective shouldn't matter. A college animation student obviously knows more than you.

You were so full of facts to my "weak argument" until I pm'd you.

    What happened?

  • @FerretTheFuzzles dude im even in art school yet and i know more than you, unlike you I dont have to spend 30 mins trying to google information and pull a video out of my ass to back up tons of weak statements. plain and simple, this really boils down to a matter of opinions and basic fucking common sense.. the fact is japan has had more influence over our culture than we can account for.

  • @th3azscorpio

You're the one claiming that my points were "opinion" and "bullshit".

I showed you the source of my points and you're STILL denying them.

You're the one with opinions here. You have NOTHING factual to back up YOUR points except for your "I know everything bro" attitude.

Point me to a document stating that anime is currently in financial boom/doing ok that isn't related to the anime boom in '00. and then we'll talk about who's blowing smoke.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles your point are bullshit opinion based. you making a fucking arguement based off the western side, without looking at both sides through and through. i have a lot of things factual to back my shit up as well as basic common sense. you dont have to be a fucking rocket scientist to look at most cartoons today and realize they suck. ive know anime was in a financial slump since the rescession. the industries failure is largely based off of japans economic slump as well..

  • @th3azscorpio

You just said in your last comment that you didn't generalize American cartoons.

Again, you and your wonderful double standards.

I DID look at both sides,I've watched multiple animes. All of them the same round about let's-not-animate-"style".

but seeing as how you insist.

Point me to a scene of an anime that isn't riddled with what I've been talking about.

Since you're Mr.Common Sense and my documents aren't good enough for you,the burden of proof is on YOU.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles lol i never said i knew everything, im just simply speaking from what i know, along with common fucking sense.. im just analyzing both sides of an issue before i take my stance.. in the very first comment i even said that its sad to see how shitty american cartoons have become, compared to the high standards animation here used to have. you need to see the bigger picture man..

  • @th3azscorpio

    Common sense =/= facts

I have seen the bigger picture. Those 9 points were the big picture I saw that you DIDN'T have any rebuttal for.

Explain why your ever so wonderful anime has to use cheap animating tricks that would get your ass laughed off a college campus if you got caught using them to breathe life into characters.

Explain why anime can't be Story = Animation.

Explain any rebuttal you'd have to my 9 points that I pm'd you, which I am still waiting for.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles keep waitin. the fact is this is a simple issue, ive already adressed the pros and cons of each side, sure the japanese style of animating has some flaws, but so does american animation, and these days it has more cons than pros.. anime has both story and animation. just cus they animated differently in japan does not make it inferior. thats why its called "Japanese animation. animes popularity is largely due to the art and design as well as the quality and depth of storytellin

  • @th3azscorpio

    Still waiting.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles anime industry is suffering no shit, japans economy as well as the one over here is in the slump go figure. your not telling me something i didnt already know..

  • @FerretTheFuzzles fact is you cannot have a logical arguement without first adressing both sides of the arguements. as with everything they have both sides. and you cant take shitty anime and generalize it, thats just a weak and biased statement..

  • @th3azscorpio

But you generalized Americans and their cartoons all into one big basket multiple comments ago.

    Double Stan-derps.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles seriously, unless you cant read i didn't generalize all american cartoons. I said there were some gems like superjail, sym-bionic titan, southpark futurama and the good old 90s classic cartoons were pure gold. i also said that there a plenty of crap animes as well in my last statements if you can read that is. there is a lot of crap series, especially considering the ones you watch. unlike you i looked at both sides of the issue before making a standing arguement.

  • @th3azscorpio

You claim I can't read but you can't read my sources.

Watch an anime and tell me how many times they still frame an entire scene.

Or use camera sliding to portray movement.

Or use mouth flaps to portray talking.

These things have become extremely common in animating animes that they are now basic.

And again, you cannot compare 90's cartoons to today's anime because of the technological leaps we've made these past years.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles i read your sources, and i found 3 of them actually informative, the rest were just opinions. you can compare 90s cartoons to anime because they both had the same quality of animation and despite technological leaps they would stand a better argument.. shit you cant even compare 90s cartoons to todays, because the differences were soo vast.

  • @th3azscorpio

    What articles were opinions?

You thought the article outlining the problems of the industry and explaining ways to improve it were opinions?

    No they don't.

Unless you are implying that anime is far behind in the animation world.

  • @FerretTheFuzzles some of the articles had factual information which i found interesting, but some of the material also had some opinion influenced info in them. if anything anime is leading the west in animation. if anime was far behind then why has its influence shown its face. were starting to barrow some of there methods as well. just look at all these psuedo anime shows like avatar, totally spies, and teen titans- which was very good by the way..

  • @th3azscorpio

Again, point out which articles I sent that were opinion based.

And no,they're not leading anything if their industry is failing.

Again, influence on the internet, where you can downloads hundreds of episodes for free without having to pay a cent.

Totally Spies looked bleh. TT and Avatar were good though but American animated.
