I love everyone's interpretation of the song. I'd like to throw mine out for good measure. I think it's all about addictions -- drugs, sex, money, coffee and yes, chocolate :) and that we are all running out of time before they do us in ! I think the part where he appeared to be blinking a lot was filmed at faster speeds so that the people around him appeared to be moving extremely fast. To do this they slow the playback down and he mouths along. Then the playback is at normal speed making his mouth appear like he is singing and everyone aound is hyper speed. The only thing this doesn't compensate for is a person's blinking.. hence looking like he blinks a lot. Make sense? Again, just a theory but it's done often in music videos.

First time I saw this video was @ City Walk - Universal Hollywood. I was in everyone's way just standing there watching it on the big screen. The song is great but this video... it could be silent and it would still make me tear up every time.
