  • @shawandrew Sucralose is Splenda, and Splenda is poison. Have you tried Kal's Pure Stevia? If you use Stevia wrong, it will be bitter, so you must use very little at a time. Kal's Stevia comes with a tiny measuring spoon which sweetens 8 ounces of water, give or take, depending on your taste buds.

  • as a sweetener?

  • well, fructose is a white powder...and stevia is an herb, so you're structural breakdown is wrong. anyway, xylitol helps with ear and sinus infections, so I'm going to continue to use it.

  • Word has that some junkies plan to do a doggie genocide with this material.

    Be warned..............

  • I have been researching this topic lately but there is very little information for the negative side effects. Nevertheless, after all my research, I must agree with you that green stevia powder is the most natural unadultered sweetner for those with diabetes or candida (on Body Ecology). It does not give the best flavor for baking but it is the closest food to nature. Thank you for your video.

    Ester

  • You don't like it because it's white powder? Well i guess i can't call you a coke head. O.o

  • @SilentAche I was ok with 1 or 2 packets in my coffee, even up to 4, but have a 3rd coffee (6 packs) and I was not doing too well. Also Xylitol doesn't really taste that sweet.

  • wow. i am never watching your channel again. Xylitol is questionable? are you kidding me? I've been chewing gum that's made of this stuff (in developed asian countries) for years with absolutely no problem. i use it on my food... no problem. xylitol comes from a plant. same as stevia or all the hippy stuff you like. can't believe you bashed it. wow.

  • what was the spelling of what sounded like kuma powder and skee powder? I've never heard of these sweeteners before. The sentence was "the safest sweeteners are fruit, dried fruit, stevia, kuma powder and skee powder"

    thanks

  • @devilfrog666666 lucuma and mesquite

  • floride rots your teeth and makes you loopy...

  • xylitol is good for teeth? So is floride but that doesn't mean you want to eat it. You people need to get a grip.

  • @Jonobos

Who told you fluoride is good for your teeth!? That's bullshit.

I've avoided Fluoride (classified as TOXIC WASTE) for many years.

My dentist told me just last week that my teeth are PERFECT.

Avoid fluoride, it's utter trash and not in the least bit good for your teeth (and it lowers your IQ - do a search on the studies conducted on this topic)

  • @SteveFusionX Anecdotal evidence is not something I live my life by. But whatever floats your boat. Also, work on the reading comprehension. I believe I already said you don't want to consume it.

  • @Jonobos

Not anecdotl. There are peer reviewed studies. Look them up. One was done in china across two towns (one with fluoride in the water, one without) and the difference between IQ scores was very clear.

Secondly, I think it is YOU who needs to learn how to read. My comment was not about EATING fluoride. What do you think happens when you put fluoride toothpaste in your mouth, genius?

It's clealy affected your ability to think (now, THAT is "anecdotal" evidence!) ;)

  • @Jonobos

I noticed you replied to me twice, youtube sent two emails but you must have deleted the first message. I'll paste here:

@SteveFusionX You need to work on reading comprehension. I said very clearly that you do NOT want ot eat floride. Floride IS good for teeth. It is not safe for consumption. But, I already said this didn't I?

(just thought this was kinda funny that you whinged about my "reading comprehension" when you can't even spell the word we are debating; FLUORIDE!)

  • @SteveFusionX "Not anecdotl"

Would you look at that? He goes and corrects my spelling, and then makes a spelling error himself.

If you can't avoid swallowing toothpaste then you should probably be wearing a crash helmet at all times.

  • @Jonobos

I guess I will need to spell this out ;)

If anything is in your mouth, it is absorbed (on some level).

If you put fluoride into your mouth (yes, even if you don't swallow it) it WILL get into your system.

Why do you think some medication is given 'under the tongue'?

Anyway, you were being petty about "reading comprehension" first, yes everyone makes typos... but you managed to spell fluoride wrong twice.

    Have a nice day.

  • white powders? dude...

  • shut up you horse faced hippie, white stevia is processed with hot water OH MY!!

  • your profiles fun - mines not as cool but we do talk about xylitol :)

  • liquid stevia and sweet fruits

  • I agree that things should be unprocessed, but there again, humans are meant to meddle. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not... Xylitol is my lifesaver, personally. I have no problems with it. Tastes ace, and doesn't spike blood sugar! :D

  • hahaha was that a bee flying into the camera when you started talking about bee pollen?

  • Diarrhea is NOT a symptom of food allergy; once allergic, ALWAYS allergic!. Saccharine and aspartame scares were abundant, and the products are still on the market. Xylitol has been used in Europe for years. Please post some links to valid, replicatable studies that prove it is detrimental to our health.

  • @MartyAnne "Once allergic always allergic" can you tell me where you got that info ? Me an my sister both had severe allergies to certain foods and some have completely gone away. They were lifelong allergies that we had since childhood and they disappeared in our early 30's.

  • Wow you really suck. Xyltiol and many other sugar alchols are experimentally proven to be safe in humans. Xylitol is good for the teeth. If you consider it unsafe, where is your evidence?

  • ive been using vegetable glycerin, awesome no sugar, low glycemic sweetner. --i may stop using it, bc no extensive research has been done to test its safety

  • Xylitol is extremely beneficial to your oral health.

It reduces the quantity of plaque, creating additional caries(decay) protection between periods of brushing and flossing. It also inhibits the growth of streptococcus mutans, the main bacteria associated with dental caries (decay).

  • I use raw honey, raw agave, dried fruit, lucuma, mesquite and yacon syrup and sometime the raw brown sugar at Starbucks lol.

  • dates/raisins/dried figs, honey, and raw organic sugar cane.

  • Mango skin not good, mango is in the poison ivy family. The skin has the same oils as poison ivy leaf. Beware.

  • yes but it takes more chocolate than xylitol, xylitol takes a tiny amount to have serious effects, whereas chocolate is too but way less so that xylitol, but most people know chocolate is toxic they dont know that xylitol is too and far greater.

  • Honey stevia agave n those raw sugar packets when at starbucks ;)

  • honey! Y a veces agave.

  • never heard of it , dont need it.

  • honey and vanilla. Although I'm still curious about what Lacuma is all about :)

  • gabriel cousens uses xylitol. i use it too. it is big in europe.

i use raw honey and stevia, and dried fruit also.

  • There's a big thing going around in my circle of friends and I want to get your take on it... soaked and ground bird feed..It is drank with water. .Yes, I know WEIRD but what do you think. I've heard lots of favorable results from it..

  • me too : )

  • i use fruit or honey! yay! houston huh? that the closest you've been to me that i know of and you will prolly not get much closer... been raw almost 7 months and I've never met a raw foodist! your shows have really helped me. keep making them! =^-^=

  • I usually, sometimes use a little organic pure maple syrup

  • Great video! love these ones with questions answered! keep them coming please, love, xx

  • Some white powders are good when snorted up the nose.

  • honey, beet sugar, maple syrup and maple sugar.

  • Xylitol is lethal to dogs it is a poison to them not many realise this.

  • Mainly dates or dried apricots.

  • i use stevia in liquid form from 'herbal select'

it tastes great, my only critique would be that its about 15$ for a little bottle, and i go through them rather fast. (2/month ish)

when i first got it, i only needed a teeny bit, but the more and more i used it, the less i could taste it. so i now i use tons at a time.

  • I have heard that papaya seeds are also great for getting rid of different kind of worms and intestinal parasites.

  • And...I do remember what you said re: general concerns about the artificially sweet white powders. But since I did not find any negative actual info about Equal I'd like to know what you might have found out about it. & the reason I'd rather ask *you* is because sometimes other educators are so against a general concept that anything possibly related is assumed to be literally bad without really considering the actual facts. Equal: the only safe commercial low cal sweetener option or not at all?

  • someone correct me if i'm wrong but i think that's made with aspartame

  • Xylitol is not made with aspertame, though I won't use it! Didn't we learn our lesson about hydrogenation with margarine? Furthermore wood alcohols are toxic to humans.

  • I was referring to Equal

  • I'm sorry!

  • Confession below: I do know about the nightmare of nutrisweet (wood alcohol, etc) & also saccharin/sweet n' low. Never liked the flavor of stevia. I do use raw honey - but I have not given up Equal. I've compared research info and I believe it's sucrose with a molecule removed. I've 'cheated' on raw chocolate mousse by adding it in (only 4 myself, never 4 other people)....PLEASE consider doing a video about Equal specifically. & yes, I'll try agave and see about locating some maca, too.

  • I'm thinking that stevia is ok even tho it's white??

  • I believe the same way. Honey and berries and brown sugars are better for you.

    Just seems right...

  • I really like yacon root for sweetening.

  • never heard of it , don't need it , I'm sweet enough.IMO

  • as always, great video.

    im a honey fan, too.

  • Raw honey and dates are my favorites. I'll use agave from time to time.

  • Yes...I stay away from anything that looks white...white means processed and fractionated. I mostly use organic agava, honey and maple syrup

  • Finally. Someone that thinks the same way as me. I have had herbalist and health persons pushing xylitol at me and I just cant believe it is all that they make it out to be. I too, stay away from it. It ends in 'itol' that should be the first clue. Plus it is hydrogenated, and weve seen what that did to fats.

  • My sister-in-law who is a Nutritionist/Chinese Medicine doctor/Accupuncturist, sent me Vermont Maple Syrup and an fruit chutney made with Maple syrup for the new year. I was surprised she sent that to me seeing that she knew I was a Raw foodist. I DO use about one tablesp. of the Maple syrup in my smoothie or oatmeal, but the chutney was yuck.

I can't seem to come to a happy medium as far as sweetners go. I prefer the Agave.

I wish she sent me a fruit basket instead.

  • OY, Kevin, I just bought Xylitol for the first time this past week to try instead of Agave nectar! Its tastes pretty good. I even bought the Xylitol gum and toothpaste. The women at the health food store who is a vegetarian convinced me that it was a healthy product.

I DO have the green leaf Stevia, but it never seems to dissolve, and I can never get the right sweetness that I'm after. It also has an after taste for me.

    CONT------

  • dates, honey, bee pollen, lucuma, bananas. mmmmMMM!

  • For sweetners we use agave, honey, and the green leaf stevia, or dates.

  • Forgot to add that I also use raw honey:o)

  • Now I know why dogs drink antifreeze!

Great video! I've seen this product in the powdered white stevias.

I remember in college, learning that allergies die off after so long. That's why children should never have nuts before the age of 2 yrs. My mother gave my son peanut butter and he would breakout really badly. We stopped and later introduced it with no problems:o)

I use Stevia in the Raw. I can't find the green stuff in my healthfood, yet.

  • Stevia is the only sweetner that I use. I am a diabetic so can't use honey or agave necar. Stevia does not raise my blood sugars and a little goes a long, long way.
