An amazing musician and artist! He is of the quality of Tim O'Brien and (from me) that is one of the highest compliments I can pay to Mr. Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid's vocals and playing are a delight to see and hear. Wonderful music and video. Thank you! My best, Moppet (Barbara)
part two: We come from every walk of life The poorest to the grand And side by side that fateful day We stood to bear a hand And though to those from far away Quite different we appear Yes, we're black and tan, we're yellow and white We're New York Volunteers We take in stride the trouble and strife Like New York Volunteers
part three: Now, some will say the world is grim And hope a distant dream Humanity a world away But if they'd only seen Our citizens emerge that day Their fellowman to cheer Well, it's a different tale they'd have to tell Of our New York Volunteers We take in stride the trouble and strife Like New York Volunteers
Dave & Ernie...being a Civil War reeanctor the Irish Brigade element to this song is marvelous. Paddy O'Rourke would have been proud! I would love to see you play it in person! Ever been to Michigan? You guys are amazing!
David, you are my Bruce Springsteen of the Past! Love your music and since I first saw you that fateful weekend at Beth Paige (about 5 yrs ago) with husband Dana, we've learned your songs and spend weekends just playing along on the fiddle to your recordings. Hope to catch you again. Londonderry, NH has the Tupelo Coffeehouse - A nice venue if you're looking. You're the Best!!!
Ah, this song reminds of the great trip ma end my friend,Inge, had from Norway to Denmark in 2004 to see 2 gigs with Brandos. Great trip, great shows and The Brandos was the nicest guys!! Thanks and hope to see you again .

His voice...........AMAZING!
He goes from an almost average New Englander to this Quasi-Irish accented and masculine voice. Brilliant.

here they are: (part one)
We're from this native land
We're every culture and every creed
That are known to man
And on our streets, on any day
Every language will you hear
Yet when tragedy strikes we band as one
Like New York Volunteers
We take in stride the trouble and strife
Like New York Volunteers
