As for Penn, it's a thing called "muscle memory" where someone does something so repetitively that it becomes "2nd nature" and it just "natural." Therefore the more you click 'find match', the easier it will be to click it. For the girl gamer issue. Day9 is right, just get over it. Guys love girls, we are attracted to them, constantly think about them.

Its biology, its subconscious. Look up the biology of the male sex drive to see why.
