What a cool Green Machine! (Apologies to the Beatles, Penny Lane). That model # sounds familiar. I once had a Panasonic 1968 reel-to-reel portable model RQ156S. Thanks.
We don't care about vintage radios anymore! We got MP3 players now!
You should be disappointed that there are no MP3 players with aesthetics that meet "vintage" specs. Besides your tape recorder jack mod for this "vintage" radio shell is electrically compatible with MP3 players too, can't you mention MP3 players once in a while?
MP3s being overrated for bad sound and high cost is one thing; but tuning to stations and having constant concern that other stations are playing better songs where the beginning of a lame song coincides with the last 20 seconds of a catchy one is just emotionally opressive. Besides who would retain their interest in radio aftering hearing a multitude of drawbacks. playlist personalization helps pay off for MP3 players' drawbacks.
Very Beautifull radio. I could hear a radio in Spanish. In Brazil is not allowed to broadcast foreigner language. All radio must broadcast in Portuguese. Congratulations for this radio, it is lovely indeed.

MP3s are over-rated. they sound horrible, and the players cost a fortune.

Green is the more collectable color in plastic radios.

I like green radios.

The early green radios sold less than did the other colors. Now you have to pay a premium for green.
