i wouldn't exactly call this track rock. it's their attempt to fuse rock & chicago-style blues by using some slide guitar & blues harp. lots of brits were doing that back then & coming up with something completely new that worked pretty well on both levels. now 'trampled underfoot'...that's pure rock
1 day about 11 yrs. ago, it rained 4.5 in. within an hours time. The water levels of the creek in my front yard started to rise all the way up to the steps. There was a 3 ft. swell above my neighbors 4 ft. fence. I ran inside & put this song on my cd player, & moments later the water started receding away from my front porch!!!
@SpencerJacobMusic Ya i agree totally he was oustanding when these guys played it was real and magical for when people try to repeat them they cannot come even close to their perfect sound.

God said, let there be rock. And there was Led Zeppelin.

@93giwrgos actually if you think back to 1977 AC/DC actually did say let there be rock. Lol but Led Zeppelin did come before them.

John Henry Bonham - hands down, no questions, no contenders! The best drummer that ever played in public. Simply, a rhythm deity.

2:25 through 2:50 is one of my favorite moments in rock and roll. And then from 5:21 on through the end.
